Welcome into another edition of the Post Workout. I have a very special guest with me, Mr. Dan Bailey. Hey, got my notes ready here for you, Dan. I'm gonna get. Just get right into it. So you had an awesome career with the Dallas Cowboys. How did it feel though, to be cut from the Minnesota Vikings? It's gotta be tough.
Really. It's the wrong Dan Bailey. I'm not that damn bailey. I mean.
CrossFit, bro. Fitness multi dimensional Dan Bailey. Yeah.
Okay. Yeah. This says here you're just really good at CrossFit.
Yeah, I am. I am that cool. That's cool.
Cool. Okay. What is your biggest motivation for CrossFit then? And why was it Rich Froning?
My biggest motivation for CrossFit was actually, you know, to take the God given talent that I had and work it out to its best and hopefully be the fittest man on earth. And I did get to spend a glorious one and a half years training with my good buddy Rich Froning.
Awesome. Yeah, he's great. So you think it's just cool to like be really good at working out?
I think it's cool to be. Well, yeah, absolutely.
Like most people, like want to be like a lawyer or like a doctor, something like cool or of value, you.
Know, I think it's cool to inspire people to get fit. So, like, if my fitness journey can inspire somebody else to get into the weight room and lose a couple pounds or you know, try to get them to be the fittest, fittest they can be, then I'm pretty proud of it.
That's interesting though, because a lawyer or.
Anything or an interviewer, you know, more low level like that, you know, I.
Like to get the best out of people, I would say too. So we're kind of like. We're pretty similar in that way. I heard you play the guitar.
I do play the guitar. Yeah.
You want to play us a couple chords maybe?
Do you guys hear me?
Oh, wow, look at this.
That's brutal.
There you go.
My gosh, man.
Some piano man or something maybe.
Wow.
This is a bad idea. Let's cut this out of there. Sorry about that.
All right.
Well, that was not what I just thought you were.
Win some.
Maybe you're gonna be pretty good at it or something. Maybe. I heard. I heard from somewhat of a bad source. So I heard that you're Married. And she's also into fitness.
Yeah, she's 2014. She was a CrossFit Games athlete. And then in 2019, Alex won her weight class in USA weightlifting, you know.
Cause I heard that your like, wife lifts more than you, so that's kind of a tough look, you know what I mean?
She lifts more than most men. Probably at least two out of the three men within my vicinity, she lifts more than.
So you're having a nice little post workout drink there. What's your go to flavor?
What I went with today was a fruit punch.
Fruit punch.
I was never a big like fruit whatever kind of guy.
We don't know about that one.
Protein, low key and like, it's delicious.
Yeah.
So also got carbs. Have to have post workout carbs. And then everybody should be taking creatine.
Dude, that's the ultimate post workout stack right there.
Right there. This is essential.
Anybody good at, you know, being a guitar, A middle division crossfit athlete, Guitar washed. Strumming. You're still getting after it though. You look like it.
Absolutely. You can't ever lose that.
Okay, on another note, how long you been with Thrift form or been affiliated with the brand?
Been affiliate with the brand since 2019. You could tell that there was something different about the brand. And it wasn't just about selling supplements. It was about making people better and about changing their nutrition around first. Changing their mental capacity around for working out, for just making them better at life in general. I was just blown away at the approach they're really about taking care of people and the approach to the nutrition side of things. Making sure that people are eating right, being healthy, doing all those things from the app to the inspirational stuff on Instagram, to the way that they outreach into the communities. And the products are amazing.
Right?
The products are top notch to top it off. So they hold a standard that not many others do in the fitness community, period.
All right, so tell me about Danny Broflex. What's his story? I miss that guy.
Buried that man.
Why?
We haven't seen him in a while. I don't know. You know, me and him got along.
We were kindred spirits.
You guys get along well?
Yeah, I think he's cool. Cooler than Mike.
Do you wish you were interviewing normal.
Dan Bailey and even the NFL place kicker Dan Bailey.
Oh, wow.
Like it would go power rankers would go Danny Broflex and then tie for second. Dan Bailey, kicker Dan Bailey, CrossFit.
