So it was so loud.
You heard me coming.
That's what she said.
All right.
Welcome in to another edition of the Post Workout. I am Josh. But you should know that by now. I have a very special guest today. It's an OG first form elite athlete, the weight slinging.
Glass, cutting.
Jesus. Love it. Son of gun.
And I'm gonna have a real hard time holding these new balances out because it's Jenna Fail.
I'm trying to get on your level with that.
What's up, Jenna?
How you doing?
I'm good. I'm incredibly nervous.
Hi.
What are you.
Yeah. My goodness gracious.
It's not just, like, ordinary person person. Do you ever think about changing your name to, like, Jenna Pass? Or like, maybe like, Jenna Positive? Or, like, Jenna A plus Jenna Fail? Is it. This feels like a very negative context.
You don't understand. You don't understand. When I got married, my middle name was May.
Oh, you're married?
Jenna May Fail.
Are you still married?
Yes. Y' all had to change my name legally, fortunately, to me, so I've already done it.
Okay.
Yeah.
So we're just gonna stick with it then?
Yeah.
Okay, fine.
That's fair enough.
Did you really. You really legally changed your. It was really Jenna May Fail?
Yeah, I had to change May. I had to get rid of it. It was bad juju.
They probably don't remember this, but we actually met a long time ago, and it was like the second first form S2 banquet, okay. And I was like, holy. Because at the time, like, obviously, you were one of the first Instagram, like, legit Instagram influencers. And I was like, holy. It should have failed. Like, I gotta get a picture with her, like, because, you know, I want to try to increase my clout as well.
Right.
I was cloud chasing, right? So I was like, all right, cool. I'm get a picture of Jennifer. And the only problem was, is I was about seven shades of shit from the wind, Julian.
And so I was like, let's get a picture. And, like, you look great, of course. And I'm like, I remember that. I just want to say thank you for trying to help me with that. All right, now, you and your husband Chris, you love, like, printing, pranking, and roasting each other. One of your.
It's one of my favorite things.
One of your favorite things to do, which I love, because I'm all about roasting, pranking, so.
Damn, I didn't hear you come in.
All he has to do is jump at me and he gets me. Yeah, but I did it. It went very on. It didn't get a big reaction, but it was good in thought was I got up under the bed, but I thought it'd be so funny if I reached out and grabbed his ankles. Because who's not scared of getting their ankles snapped when you're going to get to bed?
I would probably pee myself.
He didn't.
Yeah.
And I was under there for a long time.
Can you stop playing around? Like we get.
That was his reaction. I'm like, God, man. Like, just fake it for me once.
Right? Like, bro.
No, he just like snatched his little ankle back.
Help me get.
All right, so you are one of the first, like OG first form elite athletes, One of the first Instagram influencers. If one put that or just people, that puts good content out. Right.
I was doing that before it was called that. So I started posting online and I just loved the reach that you could get. You could meet so many people and I just thought it was so fun. So I was just enjoying it and just continued to do it. And then first form put the athlete search out in 2014.
Oh, no way.
And that's how I learned about them and entered the athlete search and the rest is history. I had not known a first form prior to that and learning their values in the company and their mission. I was like completely on board from day one.
Gotcha. So you didn't have, like, you weren't like in contact with anybody. It was just like, I'm gonna enter this athlete church. And then.
Oh, yeah, I was just. Yeah.
So were you putting out, like, what kind of content were you putting out? Like back.
I was super cringy.
Cringy style? Yeah.
Probably.
Was it like fitness related or.
Back then we didn't have storage, so I was posting a lot, like three to four times a day talking about it.
Back in the day, like, you had to like, like, literally just pump.
Oh, you would post like, here's my meal. And you'd make a static post of that Nowadays, you would never do that.
So that's wild.
It's the evolution of it.
That's wild. One thing I think people don't know this about you is back in the day, you were actually like an emo kid.
Oh, no. You went there. Okay.
You know, so I have this photo. I want you to. I want you to tell me about this photo.
Well, okay, so here's the scene, right? I'm out in the country. I'm a country kid.
Okay.
So I really was sticking out bad. I was sticking out worse than my hair.
Was right. Right. That is a hairdo if I ever seen one. On top of that, Sal. Sal, president of first form, always likes to tag you in this video of you and your friends dancing, like, under the bridge.
Yeah.
We still meet, though. Three times a year. We do the Christmas.
Nice. That's. That's awesome.
Yeah.
You're also very interesting because you have your own stained glass or make your own stained glass pieces in art and stuff like that.
Yeah.
How'd you get into doing that?
One day I looked at a piece and thought, how the hell do you do that? Yeah, it's weird. Like, how did you get that little piece of glass in between that metal? I need to know. And then I looked it up, and I was like, I think I'd like that. And then I did like that. It.
And that's at the Jewel Box Glass. At Jewel Box Glass, yeah. No free ads, though. I just feel like you're just all over the place, like, doing everything.
Like, it's so sporadic.
I. I love it, though, because you're, like, super high energy. Like, if you don't follow our Instagram page, it's phenomenal. There's everything from like, making good food to, like, what's the best to wear to the gym to just, like, funny stuff.
Like, I like that, though. That's how I run my Instagram. Because I don't. I don't. I don't want to put myself in a box. I used to do that on Instagram, and now I'm just like, today we're going to paint a door, and then, like, tomorrow we're going to do squats.
The variety.
Variety.
I like that, though. Paint a door, do squats. Why do you hate blue? Raspberry.
Okay, that sounds. No, now this is a true story. I can taste the color blue. I really can. And we. We've tested it. We have tested it here. How do you taste? It just tastes like a. Like a taste. It tastes like dye to me. So I don't ever eat anything blue. You know, I got. And the only car wreck I ever got in was because of a blue M. M. What? Let me tell you. Okay, yes, this was high school, and I went and got a McFlurry after high school, and I'm eating the Eminem McFlurry, and I'm like 15 in my little Honda Civic, bumping like sailors in. You know, I'm just, like, getting after it. And I. I was going to eat, and there was a blue M and M on top, and I was trying to Sling Casino McFlurries are.
Yeah, yeah.
So I'm trying to sling it off, and then I just ran to the dude in front of me.
Oh, man. Like, because you were. You just, like, looking down at it?
Because I was trying to get it off. So I was just like, yeah, I'm.
Sure that you're safe. You probably didn't do too much damage. Those things are kind of made out of like, you know, I rode that.
Thing to the wheels fall off. I had a little zip tie door handle.
Did you have, like a big can in the bag where it was like.
No, Even better. It fell off.
Oh, perfect. So it was so loud, like, just straight.
Just blah, blah, blah. You heard me coming a mile away.
That's a cheesy it.
All right, this is called the post workout. What's your favorite post workout drink?
Okay, so I'm going vanilla.
Vanilla.
I am going to go vanilla.
Vanilla is just a classic, tried and true smooth post workout.
But you know what? What it's reminiscent of to A T is McDonald's ice cream cone. So whenever we were kids, that's what you did. You have parties at McDonald's?
Yep.
And in our small town, because I grew up in real, like, the sticks.
Yeah.
They would line everybody up at the birthday parties, and you'd walk to the back and they'd lock you in the freezer. Okay. Yeah. So that's. It was. You looked forward to getting locked in the freezer at a birthday party.
It's kind of dangerous, you know?
Oh, you would not probably do it now, but maybe in a small town.
But back then, it's a little simpler back then.
So now whenever I have my vanilla milkshake, I'm like, ah, getting locked in the freezer.
The big old. The good old days of getting locked in the freezer.
Those were the days.
Scream. Oh, yeah. They would shut you.
We're talking like a meat freezer, right?
Yeah. They had, like, the little clear drinks. Everybody get in and they shut the door. Leave you just long enough to where you're like, wait a minute, 30 seconds. You know, you start screaming and they let you out.
It can't be legal.
It was the height of the party, you guys.
That's. I mean, okay, maybe we should invest in a freezer here or something.
I don't know.
