So for me, leading in a time of chaos with your faith hat on, well, I can look at the Bible and I know that God always came through on the other side. In fact, he surrounds his people in a cloud by day and fire by night. In fact, let's look at what that means right quick. Why were the people in a cloud by day? Well, so they'd be protected from the people who would attack them. Are you in a cloud by day? You might be. You might be being protected and you don't even know it because God put the cloud around you. So that's when you say, thanks, thanks God, appreciate you looking out for me like that. Because he knows what you need before you need it. When you're in leadership, he might be the only one who understands everything you've been through, so you may as well talk to him about it. And then that fire by night— you already know why the Lord provided fire by night. It's so the people could see. And they could keep moving when everybody else was asleep. Isn't that what leadership really looks like? Moving while everybody else is taking a nap and everybody else is sitting back and you've said, you know what, this is my time. I'm going to move and God's going to provide the pathway. Leadership is about finding a pathway. It doesn't mean that it's somebody else's, by the way. It doesn't mean it's the well-traveled road. It just means moving when God provides a way because he already has.
