Introverts get drained by social interaction and need alone time to recharge, while extroverts gain energy from meeting new people and feel the crash only after leaving. Notice whether you're exhausted mid-party or energized by it.

You might be an introvert if you walk into a room that's a networking event. And you're thinking, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this. And you go make a new friend and you make 2 new friends. And by the time you get to number 3, you just feel like you can't talk to anybody else. Your phone's ringing. I can't, I can't, I can't. I'm peopled out. When you're peopling out, you might be an introvert. So then you go to a quiet place to recharge. Introverts, we recharge by reading books, by being by ourselves, sometimes by going for a walk, by listening to a podcast, but it generally does not involve a 2 two-way conversation, it's generally going to involve some reset time. You might be an extrovert if you're in that room and you are running a notch on my belt for every person I talk to. I'm gonna get to all of them, and I feel more excited the more I go. And then you leave that room, you're actually a little bit lowered because you lost all the energy you got from other people.
