There are so many duplexes in and around the Charlotte area, not nearly as many as they have up north, but in areas like Rowan County, you can find a duplex for a very affordable price. And what that means is one side of that property could be a rental property. And if you're the property owner, you can interview that person, do a background check, and make sure you're getting a good neighbor. You live in the other side, that's suddenly going to make it affordable. And of course, all of that depends on what you think about the area and the street and the house, and all those pieces start to wind up.
