Hey, North Carolina REALTORS® President Leigh Thomas Brown here. And in addition to all the other amazing things that our members have done this year, we have a member up in the high country, Irene Sawyer. And did you know that Irene is one of the very few finalists for the National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Awards? If you've never heard of the Good Neighbor Awards, you should know they could be sponsored by Kleenex because you will sob your face off hearing all of these amazing stories and finding out that the people among us who who are selling real estate, doing rockstar things, and we don't even know about it, are doing gigantic things in their communities. Irene is a breast cancer survivor. Good job, sister. And she has dedicated her life to making sure that her neighbors have access to information about treatment, information about prevention, and information about financial help, so that when the medical expenses hit, they don't devastate somebody for life. Irene's work is being recognized by the National Association of Realtors. And so, why am I telling you this? Because you can help drive some grant dollars to her foundation. If you will go to realtor.com/goodneighbor between now and October 1st and punch the vote for Irene Sawyer, if we can bring her into the top position, she will get additional dollars that don't go into Irene's pocket, but they might go into the pocket of a North Carolina neighbor who is devastated by breast cancer. And this might be just the hope they need to persevere and survive like our own Irene did. So go to realtor.com/goodneighbor between now and October 1st. Irene, We're so proud of you. We're so glad to call you one of our North Carolina Realtors, and we're grateful for what you're doing in your community and beyond. Good job, High Country.
