Good morning, North Carolina REALTORS®. As I prepare myself to go to the funeral of one of our amazing volunteer members, I'm reminded that nothing we do in leadership lasts forever. And one of the most important things we can always do is surround ourselves with great people who can take our place when our moment has ended. This year, we are very fortunate in North Carolina to have a contested race on many levels for our leadership positions. Our voting opens on August 21st and goes through the 24th, and that's available at ncrealtors.org/elections. Now, I want you to make sure that you are an active, engaged member. That means you should call every one of our candidates and find out what their vision is for real estate and for our trade association. Figure out with whom you align and then cast your vote. One of the most important things we can do is be inquisitive. Be curious and figure out where we want to see things go. So I'm grateful that we have amazing candidates who have stepped forward to give you, the member, a choice. And as your soon-to-be outgoing president, I'm so pleased that we have such a great bench of leaders in North Carolina that are raising their hand and taking all of us forward into a future that's got homeownership for all.
