A speaker argues that chasing perfection costs you customers. Neglecting follow-up erodes brand loyalty. Instead, acknowledge failures, fix them, and move forward. Repairing connections beats the impossible pursuit of flawlessness.

We've lost a lot of business, y'all, by not paying attention, by not following up with people. You ever drive by the house, people you love so much, and they've listed with somebody else 5 years later? People are not loyal. Nobody cares about brand loyalty anymore. You never called them back. They forgot your name. And so if you screw up, just don't screw up again. Keep going. You're not a failure, but you did fail. Deal with it, move on, because that's the key. You rebuild more connections by fixing things and moving on than you do by being perfect. Don't try to be perfect.
