Leigh Thomas Brown argues your best real estate content isn't about real estate. Share personal stories instead, like genealogy or family history. Short snippets, consistency, and pushing past the fear of judgment are what algorithms reward.

I got an email today from a lady who moved here. She wasn't my client, she just follows me online, I guess, like y'all do. So thank you, and however you found me the first time, you should totally tell me where you found me the very first time. But this lady said that by watching my videos, she got interested in the American Revolution and in genealogy. And so she started digging around and found out she's got several patriots in her genealogy and she'd like to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. I connected her to our chapter, and it's got nothing to do with my business, but it's such happy stuff. That I can connect her in this community to the amazing women who are freaking genealogy geniuses. I mean, I'm learning so much from them. I found cousins I didn't know I had. And so you start realizing that the real you is the best social media content you have. And all you got to do is, is make little snippets and talk about things. And it'll be hard at first because you'll feel like, oh my gosh, people are going to judge me, and what if I don't know what to say, and what if I screw up? Nobody watches you at first. It'll take a little while before your social media content takes off because social media algorithms reward discipline, and they reward consistency.
