Lewis Howes argues that holding onto anger lowers your energetic frequency and triggers fight-or-flight, draining your ability to create and serve. Forgiveness without reconciliation, paired with clear boundaries, opens you to gratitude and abundance instead.

You know, it feels really good to hold on to anger, resentment, frustration, and not forgive someone for when they hurt you or they try to do something wrong against you. It feels good to just, ah man, just hold on to that anger against that person. But you're only hurting yourself. That person actually doesn't feel that anger, that frustration, that pain. You feel it. You feel the pain. You feel the lower frequency, the energy that drops in your heart, your brain starts going into fight or flight and fear mode rather than creating something beautiful for the world, rather than being of service to other people, rather than actually giving and focusing on gratitude. And when you're in a state of gratitude and forgiveness, it unlocks abundance in your life. So whatever you're holding on to, whatever grudges you have towards someone in your life right now, I'm not saying you need to be best friends with them, but forgive. Create a boundary, forgive, let it go, and open your heart to abundance.
