Some of you may not know this, but my father passed away a few years ago. He got into a severe car accident, and for three months he was in a coma. We didn't know if he was going to live, if he was going to die. He eventually did wake up. Dad was never the same for 17 more years until he passed away a few years ago. It really was hard for me and my whole family because here's a man that I really looked up to, a man that I admired, a man that taught me so much, a man that showed up to all my games, who supported me, who wanted to see me succeed. It's hard to have someone alive but emotionally gone, especially your father. Someone that now you have to teach, now you have to take care of. Now you have to remind them who you are. Had I known that was my last day with him before he had his accident, I might have hugged him a little bit longer. I might have just sat next to him longer. And you can't take that back. You can't take back these moments today. This moment, this day, will never happen again. And tomorrow's not guaranteed for me or you. So I want you to be thinking about that. Think about how you can show up fully today.
