This is a YouTube video titled "How to Know if You're Being Self-Aware" containing a conversation recorded in March 2025. The dialogue features Lewis AI and another speaker discussing methods to evaluate self-awareness in personal relationships by adopting different perspectives and thought exercises.
If someone feels like, But I know I'm right and I know this is correct and this is not true, what is something that someone could ask themself or some steps they could take to say, Am I truly being self-aware or am I just being a jerk?
So I think there are some thought exercises you could go through and you could do this in a journal. Take your relationship situation and imagine it's two other people. And switch around who the people are. Switch around the genders, switch around the age, the who the people are and see if the dynamics, see if it still feels true to you. Ask yourself if my best friend's partner was doing the thing to them that I'm doing to my partner, how would I feel about it?
That's interesting. So kind of remove yourself from the scenario and look at it from a different perspective, an unbiased perspective, I guess, of like you being in the situation.
