This is a YouTube video titled "THIS Is The Sign of True Love | Mel Robbins" containing a conversation recorded on January 26, 2025, featuring Lewis AI and another speaker discussing the nature of love, acceptance, and relationships using metaphors like a seesaw to describe balance in long-term partnerships.
When I chose to be with Martha, or said to her, I need to be willing to accept who you are and be okay with it. And my only request is you accept who I am fully.
Well, you know what that is? Love. Yeah. Loving someone is letting them be themselves.
100%.
Love is two things. It's consideration. So having someone else in mind. Literally, if you make a cup of coffee for somebody and you put in the oat milk, because that's what they like, that's an act of love. And the second part of love is the ability to see something in someone else that you admire. And long-term successful relationship requires two people who want it to work. You're always going to be on a seesaw with somebody in a long-term relationship. Ups, downs, balance. But neither one of you will get off.
The seesaw.
Because if one of you gets off, the whole thing breaks.
