This Manifestation Mindset is Unhealthy | Rachel Platten

I was bottling it up. And that's where the spiritual bypass comes in and is dangerous. For me, it was dangerous because I had learned this positive psychology of like, well, think good thoughts, manifest things. Don't stay in the darkness because then I won't be able to manifest the good stuff and I'll just manifest more bad stuff. I think that that's really unhealthy. I wish more people talked about it and understood it from someone who's really suffered with their mental health. When you have feelings that you're repressing for enough time, there's only so much that this well can hold until it starts spilling over. Once it starts spilling over, your nervous system signals, oh my gosh, we're in fight or flight right now. We're not okay. And your whole body starts reacting in different ways.
