What Makes Someone Emotionally Unavailable

It's really rare these days to find someone who is truly emotionally available. You know, you're with someone who's either not into or emotionally unavailable. When you're like, okay, I want to take this a little bit deeper. I want to share. I want to be vulnerable. They're not vulnerable. They're not willing to be vulnerable with you, and they're not particularly receptive to your vulnerability. Then there are people who have real psychological and emotional barriers to closeness. They're psychoanalyzing everything. They were hurt in the past, so the walls are up. They want to be discerning, but really no one can really get through to them. Some people grew up in a home. They didn't talk a lot about emotions, and so that's very difficult for them.
