This is a YouTube video titled "Why Rich People Feel Broke" created on August 29, 2025, discussing the perception of wealth and income disparity, using examples from Major League Baseball and generational income comparisons.
The minimum wage in Major league baseball is $500,000 a year.
But do you think the guy who's playing for the Yankees making 500k feels.
Like he's crushing it?
No. He's playing with all his peers who are making 10, 20, 30 million a year. That's why the average median income adjusted.
For inflation has doubled since our grandparents generation.
Really? But we don't feel any better off at all because we're living in bigger houses driving nicer cars.
But so are our peers, so relative.
To them, we've gone nowhere. Imagine a world in which our grandkids are living twice.
As well as us.
And they don't feel.
Any better off either. It's all because you're comparing.
