9 Feb 2021 · 40 min
In this episode of the Aligned Coach interview series, host Lindsey Badillo talks with Ola Walczyk, a Polish life‑and‑business coach who guides female professionals to launch purpose‑driven businesses. Ola shares her personal journey from a corporate data‑science career in the Netherlands to a soul‑aligned coaching practice after a crisis point at her graduation, a spontaneous trip to India, and a period of illness that forced her to turn inward. She explains how she shifted from a masculine, goal‑centric mindset to embracing feminine energy, intuition, and daily practices such as meditation, journaling, movement, and gratitude. Ola discusses the challenges of family expectations, setting boundaries, and building a supportive community, and offers concrete advice for aspiring entrepreneurs: tune into feelings, observe moments of joy, honor inner guidance, and stay authentic. The conversation also touches on purpose as an evolving concept, the importance of self‑love, and practical steps for integrating intuition into business. Contact information (Instagram @helloimola) is provided for listeners who want to work with her.

And as we grow, our purpose grows and like everything is changing and the only constant is change.
All right. So welcome back everyone to the Aligned Coach interview series. I have a beautiful guest here with me today. I have Ola Wawczek. Ola is a life and business coach for new and aspiring business owners. And I think that she and I are similar in what we do and in who we help. So I can only imagine that this is going to be a really cool conversation today. So thank you, Ola, for coming on. I'm excited to have you.
Thank you for having me. I'm so excited to be here.
Yeah, yeah, you are so welcome. So I like to start these off and just kind of give you the mic and let you tell us who you are, where you're from, from? Just give us any sort of information about you and who you help.
Yeah, so I'm Ola and I'm from Poland, and I'm helping professionals, female professionals, to start their businesses and also get clear on their purpose. And why I'm doing that? Because I was struggling with that for a very long time. I was a professional, I was, I was unfulfilled in my job, and I didn't know what to do. So I was struggling and looking and searching, feeling lost and not knowing the answers, and jumping from from one idea to the other and not getting any clearer, clearer, yes, on what I really want. And I know that there are so many people who are struggling with that, with knowing and with being sure that this is it, and with having this clarity and this confidence to step into this path. And I also know that there were moments in my journey where I was thinking maybe something is wrong with me. Maybe it's not real, maybe it's impossible to be fulfilled and have this dream job and just enjoy what you're doing. So I know that it is possible, and I think it's so important to spread the word and show others that they can be fulfilled and they have a mission and they should really spread their word as well.
Yep, absolutely. I feel like we have sort of been conditioned to believe that you have to choose like you either get to do what you love or you get to do something that like makes sense for your future or for your family. Um, so I think that that's one of the coolest parts of what I do, and I'm sure what you do is like showing people that like you don't have to sacrifice one or the other. Like you literally get to have both. Like you get to design your life, you know, you get to like manifest whatever it is that you want. And, and it may look totally different from what you thought you had planned for your life or from what other people may think that like you should do or should be doing. But ultimately, like, it's you, you know, it's you that has to live with that. So like, you should do what you enjoy, right?
Yeah, exactly, exactly. I think it's so true what you said, and conditioning and parents and families and school and this is right and all these statements, words in our minds spinning around. I feel like it's so true for so many of us.
Yep, absolutely. Okay, so you said that you're from Poland, so I'm curious, Ola, do you help with, um, do you work with like primarily women? Do you work with women and men?
Uh, I'm working with women because, uh, I was very masculine and I always wanted to set my goals and, you know, push myself, and I only had guy friends and I was really rejecting this feminine part of myself. And right now I see that It's so important to nourish this part that our way can be different. We're more intuitive, we're more emotional, and I really care— take care of really including it in our business and really including it in how we want to approach it and how we're acting, that we don't have to set these goals and push ourselves every time the same way because we're just different. So for me, it's really also important to show that We are different and it's okay. It doesn't mean that we are worse. It means that we can approach it differently and use our energy in a way more efficient way and we can enjoy it the way we want to enjoy it. So that's why I feel like it's so important because we want to be masculine, want to push ourselves, want to really reach all the goals and then we're burning out and then we don't know what to do and then we compare ourselves and what is wrong with me? We're girls and we're amazing.
Oh my gosh, you just said it all. You're so right. I feel like that's 100% the truth. Like, of course, I mean, set your goals, right? Like, you know, pursue what you want. You know, like, you have to like have a plan, right? But I think that there's such a difference whenever you are able to like trust the process and you really like step into this place. It's like something that my, my mindset coach Kelly taught me. She says step into a place of ease and flow. So it's like whenever you trust what's happening and whenever you say, okay, like, I have my plan, but like, how can I operate from ease and flow to make that happen, right? Like, how can I have more fun? How can I like do the things that light me up? And I think that's 100% like operating in your feminine, um, you know, energy. And like, and I'm sure that you don't use the word feminine as in like girly, right? It's not like, oh, you're being girly. It means like, hey, like, I'm operating with my creative energy. I'm operating like from this place of just like knowing that like what is for me will come to me instead of like fighting against it.
Yeah, exactly. And I think it's so powerful when we're stepping into it. We are so freaking powerful. And when I first started, I wanted to be so masculine and I had my to-do list and I didn't want to allow my intuition to guide me. And I was really struggling and I was not enjoying it. But then I was like, okay, I surrender. I have like 2 main tasks that I do every day, and I know that I'm gonna make it. But then I'm asking myself, so what can I do to serve myself and others at my best? And then, you know, answers are flowing, and I can flow, and I can actually enjoy. And my business is going in a completely different way, and I enjoy it. And it was such a breakthrough for me because I really was struggling to step into this feminine part, which is awesome.
Yeah, I love that so much. Yeah, it's like whenever you can literally just surrender to the process, whenever you surrender and you say, okay, I don't have all the answers, like, just show me what's for me, right? Like, let me just have fun. Just show me what's for me. Okay, so I'm curious, are there like daily practices or like anything like practical? Like, I like to give our audience like very practical ways that they can like integrate this stuff into their life. What would be like a practical way that they too could like step into this like creative overflow to like this, you know, trust into like this feminine place, even if they're building the business, even as they're like pursuing their dreams? Like how can they do that?
So every day, like I have the task that I know that I have to do because I'm focusing on certain parts of my business. Right now I'm really focusing on getting clients or selling and on really growing my business. So this is like the main part of what I'm doing. But then either it's content or like how I'm interacting with people on social media, what I'm doing, if I'm going to have an interview with you, it's all about my inner guidance. So every morning with my mindset practices, I'm also saying a prayer to really like be guided by this intuition. So except like these things that I have to do and they take like 3, 4 hours, sometimes more, sometimes less, but usually not too much. I'm doing what really feels right. What really feels like, yes, I want to do it. So it's all about, of course, as you said, having to-do lists and having your goals and really knowing where you are going. But in this flow, also allowing yourself to flow. So sometimes maybe turn a bit right because it feels right. And sometimes you have this gut feeling, maybe I should do it, but it's weird because I shouldn't do it. But it's— this is the feeling that is guiding us towards this direction. And I think that nobody here would ever say, oh fuck, I really regret that I trusted my intuition. Like, no, you're so right.
Yes, yes, I've never heard that. Oh, I hate that I listened to that inner voice.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I think it's all about, you know, like really tuning into yourself and having also your practices, because for one person can be meditation, for the other person can be journaling, for the other person can be movement, dancing, yoga, whatever. And really, like, for me, it's celebration of this inner voice and for my, for my inner self and this intuition.
That's so good. So, okay, so I have like a confession to make. I really suck at meditating. Like, I'm not gonna say I suck, but I like just don't do it. Like, I totally have this block to it. So it's so funny that you brought that up because it also just goes to show that like just because one way may not be your way, like, does it mean that, like, you're not worthy of, like, exploring what is your way, you know? So for me, like, writing— like, I find a ton of just, like, clarity whenever I write. And it's, like, literally, like, writing with a pencil, like, breaking out my journal, um, you know, and just, like, doing, like, a brain dump. So for me, like, that is meditation, you know? Yeah, I said that for, um, 2021, like, one of my goals was to, like, take 5 minutes a day 5 minutes, I can do that, right? Like, shut my eyes and like just sit in silence, and that would be meditating for me. Um, so that is my goal for 2021, is to take 5 minutes a day of meditation. Um, so yeah, that, that's so good about what you said about your inner voice and intuition. Like, yeah, you're so right.
Yeah, yeah. I think that, you know, with meditation, like even journaling, it's meditation because we're tapping into our subconscious mind. We're letting our subconscious, this inner guidance, to guide and we're really labeling something as better, worse, and want to push ourselves. And then we're questioning ourselves, why cannot I make it? What is wrong with me? But it's just our way. And when we are really stepping into our way, then we're flourishing. And then we are really allowing ourselves to do what feels right for us. And I think it's so beautiful. And for instance, even in South America, they didn't meditate. They were dancing. This is the form of meditation. And also for girls, I know that movement, it's really like good because we are feminine, we're flowing, and we can really express ourselves and stagnant energy, let go of stagnant energies through movement and dancing. So like all is welcome, and for everybody it's something totally different.
Yeah, you're so right. There's like this thing about just like movement, you know, like whether it's getting like taking a walk during the middle of the day or like having like mini dance session. Or, you know, if yoga is your thing, or maybe it's like working out, but definitely something with like moving your body that helps like clear that, that stagnancy. Yeah, like you said.
Yeah. Yeah.
Um, okay, so, Ola, so I'm curious, I want to know like how in the world did you end up as a coach? So I know that you said like, hey, like I wanted to start my business, but like I really struggled. Like, did you work like a traditional job? Do you still work a traditional job? Did you like have this other life planned out for yourself? I always love to hear these stories, how we ended up.
So basically I was working as a data scientist and I was, I did my master also in data science. I was in the Netherlands. I was working a corporate job and there was the day of my graduation. My family came and everybody was celebrating. I was crying. I was like, I don't want to do it. It's not my world. And 3 days afterwards, I left to India. I quit everything. I left my boyfriend, ex-boyfriend right now, my friends, and I decided to travel because I was super unhappy and I didn't know what to do. And I was also so scared because I'm from Poland, so my dad really invested in me, in my education, to be abroad, to study there, to live there. And I just was freaking out because I remember entering my office, I was like, what am I doing here? And the numbers and data science and math, it was It's totally not my thing, but you know, like we have our experiences and my experience was that I was bullied and I thought that I'm stupid. So I wanted to really prove myself that I'm smart enough and I can do hard studies. I can do math, I can do programming and I can be smart. And it was not my thing and it's okay. And right now from this perspective, I can say that, okay, I'm creative and it's beautiful and it's my element and I love it and I can be fulfilled smart in that field. And it doesn't mean that I'm not smart, but this girl had a huge trauma and she wanted to prove everybody that she is worthy. And I was, you know, going higher and getting better job and having good grades and scholarships, but I was feeling still stupid. It was not improving. It was like this conditioning. If I'm gonna do this, then I will be happy, then I'll be smart. But it was not working that way. So from this frustration and not knowing, I was like, okay, I'm going to India. I'm going to do yoga teacher training and I will see what's going to come up from there.
Oh my God, I love that. It's such a like Eat, Pray, Love. Yes. Okay, so you move to India and you're like, all right, I'm going to live this yogic lifestyle. Okay, so how did that work? How did that go?
I was freaking out, to be honest, because I went there, I was like, okay, I'm going to find my answers right now. So every day I was really obsessed obsessed about finding my answers, obsessed about finding my purpose, and I couldn't just, you know, enjoy. I couldn't let go, and I was talking with people and asking them, and everybody was saying that just let go and you'll find it. No, no, no, no, no, I'm not gonna let go. It's too much for me. So then I left India. I was traveling around Asia and, you know, doing some meditation workshops, dancing and workshops, workshops, and really like overdoing because I was really doing, doing, doing again.
Yeah, yeah.
And then I got sick and I needed to chill, let go, surrender, because I was really, really like, I think also tired of this overthinking and of pushing myself. And answers started flowing to me. Like, it was so crazy. I let go and I started realizing that I really want to help people who are struggling with this thing, and I really want to work with people. And it was always something that was making me so happy to be around others, to see them glowing, to see them being happy and see their potential and show them their potential. And it was always my thing, but I never thought that I can do it for my living. And I didn't want to be a coach because in Poland coaching is so like, oh, it's not nice. People don't like coaches. People think that coaching is not a thing. And people think that coaching is a scam actually.
Oh, wow.
So I was like, okay, so I want to be a coach kind of that, but I don't want to be a coach because coaching said your goals and dream big. So I also had this image that this is how it works. So I started Googling and looking for some answers. Like I want to be a coach, but I want to be named coach. Like this kind of thing.
I want to be a coach, but I don't want you to call me that.
Yeah. Oh wow. Yeah. And I was like really struggling and I found one program, but I didn't enjoy it. Like it was not something that I was looking for. So I didn't know and I was struggling. I was traveling and I met one guy and he was the coach and I was talking with him about it and I told him, okay, I'm coming back to India because I need to meditate more. I'm going to find my answers and I'm really going to know what what it is for me. He looked at me, he smiled, and he said, I remember when I was your age and I was traveling, I was looking for my answers. Girl, you have it all within yourself. And I looked at him and I said, no, you don't understand. No, it's my story. It's not your story.
It's not here. I got to go back to India. It's not here.
Yeah, so I came back to India, but Corona happened, so I needed to come back to Europe. And then I was stuck in Germany and I didn't know what to do. And then I started really like tuning inwards. So I started really like being with myself. I couldn't go out. I couldn't go to all these meditation workshops. So I was processing everything that happened and I found my answers. And I can say that I had it all within myself.
There it was.
Wow.
So that's crazy. So it was like almost whenever you were forced to stop, right? You were forced because we couldn't travel. So you're like, okay, well now I have nowhere to go. I cannot keep going, going, going, doing, doing, doing. So now I like really have to just sit with myself.
Yeah.
And like sometimes you just have to be still enough and quiet enough to hear it, right? To hear that little voice of intuition, to hear the voice of God or the universe, right? Like speaking to you and saying like, hey, like like, this is it, this is your life, this is your purpose. Sometimes I think also, like, on that word purpose, it's a loaded word. Like, it is such a freaking loaded word, and we put so much emphasis into, like, finding our purpose. But, like, I don't know, and I'm still, like, working through this myself. Like, I think that there— I don't even know if there is a such thing as finding your purpose. Like, It's like you are your purpose, you know? Like, you— like, just being you, like, you just being is your purpose, right? And because, like, I think about all the different things that I've done in my life or people that I've met and, like, how they've changed and, like, evolved, you know? So I feel like we can have multiple purposes, right? And, and it's like, oh, well, just because you don't go out and change the world or you don't go out and, like, come up with some like, you know, modern medicine or like whatever, doesn't mean that like you didn't live in your purpose, quote unquote, you know.
Yeah, I love, I love it what you said, and it's so true. And as we grow, our purpose grows, and like everything is changing, and the only constant is change. So it also can adjust and flow with us. So it's so true because we are freaking out I need to have this mission, I need to change the world. But yeah, it's just about being our authentic self and tuning into what we truly need and not what we should need or we think that it's good for us.
Yeah, yep. Oh my gosh, this episode is so good. I hope that y'all— now this is so good. Okay, someone wanted to like start their soul-aligned business, if they wanted to um, you know, like really tune in, like if they wanted to like really figure out, okay, what is my purpose right now, right? Like we're not going to say their lifelong purpose, like, but what is their purpose right now? Like how do they start? Like what would you tell them? Like what advice would you give them?
I would tell them to really tune into themselves and start observing their feelings and emotions because I believe that our feelings and emotions are such a huge indication for us what we truly desire, what we truly want. Like this feeling of blissfulness, of happiness, of joy, when we feel like the moment is exactly how it should be. And this is what is really how we are tuning into our highest self, how we're tuning into our purpose. And then when we observe these things, when we observe ourselves, when we're really asking ourselves these questions, then we can really discover this purpose. Because when we feel like we are in the moment, everything is like, I don't know, just amazing. This is when we're really aligned with this purpose, aligned with ourselves, and there is no this inner critic chatting, oh, you're not enough, you're not gonna make it, and it sucks, you don't know what is your purpose. So then we are not aligned with that. But there are these moments when we are dancing, painting, or cooking, or speaking or just doing whatever, and then we got— we are getting this feeling, and this feeling is really guiding us towards our highest self, our purpose, our authentic self.
Absolutely, 100%. I was just, as you were talking, I was thinking about like, well, where are the moments that like I feel the most alive? And I will tell you, like, this month doing these interviews has been so much fun for me. Like, I have loved showing up, having these conversations, like letting other people hear these conversations that would not otherwise maybe even be exposed to it, or maybe not, you know, hear these things, or like have that opportunity to, you know, um, like realize that there's other opportunities out there. So like, that, that is like one place that I feel really super like lit up and just like, like aligned with what I'm doing. And then also like on, um, coaching calls, like on calls whenever I'm talking with women and like we're like literally having breakthroughs like right there on the call. Like I cannot explain the feeling that I get, you know, like being a part of that. Like it's, it's beautiful. I love it, you know. It's almost like being a parent. Like it's almost like watching your children like taking their first step or something. Whenever you get to see them like have that realization that like, oh, they're worthy 'Oh, like, they can have this,' or 'Oh, like, they're the ones sending their way,' even, you know. Um, so you're 100% right. Like, tune in. Like, observe your feelings. Observe, like, like, where is it? Like, where do I feel the most alive? Where do I feel the best? You know, it may not even be where you're technically, like, making money, you know. Like, it may not even be the thing that, like, directly generates income for you, which is crazy. Like, being people that coach others on how to start their business right? But it's like this, for example, like showing up on these interviews, like we're not getting paid for this, you know, like we're not making any money from this, but this is the place where we feel in the most ease and flow, you know, at least for me. And I'm sure that like you feel good being here.
I love it.
Yeah, so it's like this is like us listening to the intuition, listening to the thing, you know. Whenever I told my coach, I was like, yeah, I think I'm gonna do an interview series. She was like, Okay, well, that sounds fun, you know. And it was just totally like me listening to that inner voice and just listening to that thing that says, okay, Lindsay, like, that's the thing that you want to do, just do it, right? And then like the rest will work itself out, you know. Um, so yeah, I don't even know where I'm going with that, but 100%, like, just, just listening to yourself, tuning into like where you feel the best, like where do you really feel aligned. Yeah, yeah.
And you're totally in your element. Like, I entered this interview and I was a bit stressed, but then I saw you and you were like so enthusiastic, chilled, relaxed, and I immediately felt so welcome. So very totally in your like element. I like to call it element, it's a really nice word. So very amazing.
Oh, thank you, Ola, that's so sweet. I'm glad, I'm glad that you feel that way. Thank you for telling me that because like sometimes I'm like, well, like what if I'm like too over the top for them, or what if, you know, whatever. But I think You're right, like, just be yourself, show up authentically. And, and ultimately, like, I don't know if you've ever heard this saying, but, um, your vibe attracts your tribe, right? So yes, whenever you show up as yourself, the people that are meant to be in your space will just naturally gravitate towards you, you know. Um, and same way, like, one of the things that coaching new coaches I see is like they're afraid to show up on social media or they're afraid to, you know, voice who they really are to family and friends, and they're like afraid to put themselves out there in public. But it's like, hold up, like you want to be yourself, right? Because you want to attract people that like you and that want to be a part of your life and that want a piece of whatever it is that you have. Like, those are your people.
Yeah, yeah. Like, we're perfect with our imperfections. And I think like this beauty flows from this authenticity, not from trying to copy or be right or not to say certain something, but from being really yourself and showing others that it's beautiful, and also inspiring others to be themselves. Because I think that this energy is so contagious. When you see a person, the person is just glowing because of being content with who she is. Because I feel like it's also coming to the place of self-love and self-acceptance. I am accepting who I am, and I'm not scared to show up as myself because I love And it's gorgeous.
Yes, yes, yes, yes to all of that. So good. It is. It's all about do you trust yourself, like, right? Do you love yourself unconditionally? Like, detaching. And like, you know, I've only been in business, in this business, for a little bit over a year now. So it's like coming as an— come like into a new business, being a business owner, how do you detach from the numbers? How do you detach from how much money you're making? How do you detach from the number of clients you have? You know, like just detach it from like all of that external crap, you know, because it's cool. Like that, that's a cool bonus, you know, like that's, that's important. But like, how do you just really be okay with who you are? You know, like how do you just really like love who you are no matter what, no matter what the external says?
Yeah, so I think it's really like being super honest with yourself, like facing yourself and facing that sometimes what we're saying to ourselves and this voice, it's not true. That sometimes all the words and our assumptions are simply not real. And seeing ourselves, celebrating ourselves, and really seeing ourselves as a whole. And for me It was meditation that I started really tuning into myself. Yes, I was like, when at the very beginning I was not even aware that I'm not fully myself. When I started really like tuning into myself, meditating, and there was like this feeling of being uncomfortable. And then I was realizing how awful I am towards myself, how my voice is really, really awful. And I wouldn't say these things to anybody except myself. I wouldn't say it to my best friend, to my family, to even a person that I don't like. It's only me, and I'm against myself. And I feel like facing it and starting to question this voice and starting also seeing what I truly desire and like and focusing on positive instead of negative. And I know that it's sometimes sounds so cheesy. Focus on good, focus on good. But we can focus on good, and we can always choose to feel good. We can always, always choose to see something from different perspective. And even when we are failing— and we can say there is no such things like failure— but looking at it from the perspective of lesson and not like a crap. And I think that's why mindset, like really mindset work, is so important, because You can change how you are looking at yourself, and it's only our perception. This is not true. It's not true that we suck if something didn't work out, we didn't reach that goal. It's just how we are perceiving this, and it's just how we are treating ourselves afterwards. And if we are deciding to— that was actually my intention for 2019, to truly fall in love with myself. I knew that I was lacking it. And I can tell you that, yeah, I love myself and I think it's amazing, but it was something that I was working on, was something that I was trying to nourish. And I think this is also the part of commitment, that sometimes you want something from one day to the other. Okay, tomorrow I'm gonna discover my purpose, and we want to know, but it's a process and it's really trying. And sometimes, yes, you won't 'You won't make it.' There will be still this voice, there will be still these comments. But you know, time after time after time after time, we're getting better. And it's never an easy process because beliefs are popping up here and there in different situations. But I think that in this process and with our commitment, we are feeling better, we are choosing to feel better. And then we We actually have this choice. Like, we have this freaking choice, and we all have it. Every person. The sun is shining in every place the same way. And I think that sometimes we're also like detaching ourselves from the world. And for me, it was also this thing of collectiveness, that we all have love within ourselves, that we all are connected, we all are going through these things, and we all have this potential to step into our power. Everybody. And there is nothing better, worse in any other person. We're all capable and powerful and enough. Yep.
Oh, that was so good. Yes, yes, you're so right. And sometimes we just have to slow down long enough to even hear that.
Yeah, yeah, breaks.
So I know that you said, um, coming from Poland and being raised in a family where, you know, your academic success was very important to your family. What was it like, or what is it still like, right? Like, um, you know, sort of saying, hey Dad, like, I don't want to go down this path anymore, like, this isn't for me. Um, you know, did you receive pushback from your family? You know, are they supportive? Like, I'm just curious. That may be a sensitive topic You know, but I know that many coaches, many business owners, just many women in general deal with that. So I'm just curious about your process.
So it was really hard at the very beginning. Like people were looking at me and they're like, Ola, you want to make money from that? It's like just a really stupid idea and you have a stable job with money and why are you doing that? Then maybe you should just stop. And I was also always like dreamy, like I always believed in this fulfillment, in this better future, that we can actually do something that we love. And I know that sometimes I was called naive. So then, you know, like this perspective that I told you about, I started shifting my perspective and calling myself like fighter and believer. And I decided to prove to myself that I'm actually, I'm gonna create this reality, that it's possible for me. And then also I started reaching out to people who believe in similar things because there are always these people and there are always people who won't agree with what we're doing. And right now there is this aspect of setting boundaries, and I know that it's so important, important to set boundaries. And recently, something that helped me so, so much because I was being I was so triggered by my family, by my friends, and by the topic of coaching, and by the topic of my business, because also beginnings are always hard, and you are doing, and people are asking you uncomfortable questions. I was getting so overwhelmed, and I started really writing down things that I'm grateful for every person from my family. And at the very beginning, I was— it was so hard because I was so triggered sometimes, and there so much tension and misunderstanding. Also, I came back from my trip and I was so enlightened, you know, and I wanted to change my family. I was like, okay, everybody will love each other. And it was like, no. Oh, wow. So I really needed to just, you know, adapt and accept things the way they are. And I started literally writing every day things that I'm grateful for my dad, my sister, his girlfriend, everybody. And really magic happened. I feel so good with my family. My dad said that he's so proud of me that it's hard for him because he's stressed, you know, and he's like really worried because he put so much, but he believes in me. And I started seeing really miracles. And I know that it sounds really like unreal. And I didn't believe that it can actually help me. But it's again, you are choosing your perspective. And the moment I started seeing good in them and every day it was better and better and I could really see more and more, it was becoming better because I shifted my perspective and I started attracting better things. And then also asking for what you need. And I really wanted to have this community. I really wanted to have like-minded people and I found it. And I think that it's, it's really that way, that if we really, really desire it, there are so many people. Like, we, we just met, we're just talking, and just clicked, and we're talking about such amazing things. And there are so many of such people who are out there and who are willing to talk and share and connect and support. And I think it's so beautiful. And I think that this, you know, faith and belief and really going for it and asking for support and not really closing yourself and saying that I'm alone. Because it's again, if you're thinking I'm alone, you don't see what is around you. You're closing your perception. If you're thinking I don't know what is my purpose, you don't know what is your purpose because you're closing your mind on your purpose.
Wow. Yeah. That is so powerful. Yeah, and it's like just the act of noticing what you are grateful for with your family, you know, probably just you taking that time to like zoom in and say, okay, like I'm grateful that my dad did this, this, and this, or that he is this, this, and this. I'm grateful that my sister— and it was like hard, there was resistance, right? Because you had been so tuned into like, oh my God, they don't get it. Oh my God, they're just not enlightened. Me. Oh my God, like, they're on my level yet, right? So it was like, oh, I know, girl. Yeah. So it's like whenever you tune in on those things, on the good, or just on, um, you know, really what you want more of, that's how you get more of it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it's so powerful, the power of our mind and how easily we can shift it, and also how our ego is trying to defeat itself, you know, this resistance. And sometimes we feel like when there is resistance, we shouldn't do it. And I think that it's really the opposite because the resistance is coming up because we're leaving our comfort zone and our ego is wanting to protect itself and trying to keep us stuck in this, oh, I'm a victim and it's so bad and everything is working against me.
Yep. Our ego like is the overprotective mother. That's how I think of it. It's like always keep us safe, like doesn't want to see us flourish, doesn't want to see us like, you know, go outside of our comfort zone. It has good intentions, you know, but ultimately like keeps us stuck. Yeah, yeah, so good. Oh my gosh, all of this is so good. Okay, so I— one more quick question. If you could like go back to say a year ago, like what would you, what would you change? What would you do differently? Is there maybe something like that you would have told yourself or like believed about yourself, um, let's just say like as of like a year ago. I know that your journey has just like, like progressed and just like truly transformed over the last year. So I'm curious, um, if you would do or say or believe anything differently.
I would really say you have everything within yourself and you can trust and enjoy. And I think that these are 3 things I would really tell myself to just surrender, like just freaking surrender, girl, and enjoy your freaking amazing world trip.
Wow, yeah, just enjoy traveling. Yeah, enjoy it. Wow, I bet you are so freaking ready to like get out and travel again.
Me too. Yeah, totally.
So are you in Germany right now, or where are you right now?
Right now I'm back in Poland, but I really want to go, I don't know where exactly, but I really love international community because I found my family there. And I think that I love this international perspective on things when we're from different backgrounds, we are really detached from our values, beliefs, and I just, I just crave it so, so, so much. And I also, I'm focusing on US market. And I would like to be a bit closer. And who knows, maybe US is my destination.
Yes, that is awesome!
You probably don't want to—
I live in Georgia, which is like southern United States. Um, there's not much going on here, girlfriend. Like, you need to go— I would say, um, Los Angeles is fun. A lot, a lot of people there. Um, if you want something quieter, like, come to the East Coast. Florida's nice, it's hot. Um, but yeah, let me know whenever you come and that would be awesome. Yeah, that'd be awesome if we could meet or something.
That would be amazing and I hope it will happen. It will happen. If we think it will happen, it will happen. It's gonna happen.
It's gonna happen. We're gonna have it.
We're gonna meet.
Yes, that's awesome. Okay, so if someone wanted to get in contact with you, if they're interested in like starting their Soul Aligned business if they're like, wow, Ola just blew my mind on this interview, I have to connect with her. How can they do that?
Via my Instagram, helloimola, and just DM me and I would love to chat and connect and just connect.
Yes. And see what happens, see where it goes. I love that. This has been so good, Ola, and you are just like such a— like you're an inspiration, honestly, to have the bravery and the courage to like leave, you know, your job as a scientist and like, you know, this like crazy cool corporate job, you know, and to just step into, into your purpose, right? And to step into what lit you on fire and to like what you really felt alive doing, which was helping other people. Um, so that's super cool. I'm super inspired by you, and thank you so much for coming on today. I've really, really enjoyed this conversation.
Thank you. It was So amazing, really, really. Thank you so much.
You're welcome. Bye everyone, bye!
