#21: Creating Content that is Wildly YOU with Sydney Delucchi
6 May 2021 · 42 min
In this episode of the Align Coach Podcast, host Lindsey Badillo interviews content strategist and creative business coach Sydney Delucchi. The conversation centers on the "Wildly You" philosophy – helping coaches and service‑providers create content that is authentic, aligned with their inner design, and free from generic, cookie‑cutter formulas. Sydney shares how her background in social‑media management and a later focus on business back‑end work led her to develop a content framework that blends human‑design insights, personal energy, and practical social‑media tactics (Instagram bios, carousel posts, DMs, Clubhouse rooms). They critique the myth that strict strategies guarantee results, emphasizing instead the need to honor individual temperament, privilege, and life circumstances. Practical advice includes a step‑by‑step daily CEO workflow, how to group content ideas, use polarizing statements, rewrite "I help" statements for impact, and leverage platforms like Clubhouse for discovery. Sydney also announces her upcoming mastermind, "Wildly Untamed," which will bring together experts (human‑design, course creation, Clubhouse) to help participants dismantle limiting rules and rebuild a brand that fits their unique life. Throughout, the hosts stress taking resistance as growth, iterating, and staying true to one’s authentic voice.

Wildly You. So what that means in a nutshell is helping you figure out how to show up absolutely authentic and aligned to who you are deep down and not having any influence from outside things.
Hello, hello, welcome back to the Align Coach Podcast. This is Lindsay Badillo, your heart-centered business coach and host of this pod. I'm so excited for today's episode. I had an amazing guest come on yesterday. Her name is Sydney Dallucci. She's content queen and business coach. So she works with service providers, online business owners, and, and really magnetizing dream clients through content that is fun and that feels good and that doesn't feel yucky or forced. I think that this episode is such gold because we all go through it where we're like, what do we post? How often do we post? Will this speak to my dream client, right? And we all go through like this content block at least once in our business. Like, come on, we've all been there, right? So yesterday's episode was super good. Sydney gave some very, very tangible tips, tangible advice on how to get your wheels going, on how to create a system that works for you, how to actually create with confidence, how to magnetize your dream clients. We talked about human design. In your business type. We talked about scrapping cookie cutter methods. It was just so good. So you're gonna love today's interview. I also have something super amazing that just, that was just released this past week. It's the Daily CEO Workflow. Y'all, it's so good. Several of the listeners, several of my usuals have already snagged it. This is the workflow for like, if you are stuck on what to do each day, if you have no idea how to move your business forward, you've probably already invested into your business, through a business coach or a course or a program, and you're just not sure, like Lindsay, like somebody just give me the steps, step by step, what to do each day to move my business forward, right? Because maybe you're spending a lot of time scrolling on social media. Maybe you took a break, maybe you went on a little sabbatical, and now you're figuring out how to get your, how to get back in the groove. Where do you start again, right? How do you cultivate that really warm audience and how do you cultivate it in a community feel, right? Like how do you actually create that know, love, trust relationship with your community. So this workflow, this mini kit is so freaking valuable. It's jam-packed. Actually, it's not really jam-packed. It's actually only 5 lessons and they're all so good. They're so direct. I wanted this to be very easily digestible for you and for your business. So if you've not checked that out, I highly recommend you to go check that out. I'm gonna have the link in the show notes for that. It's 5 lessons. Lesson 1 is on the actual workflow, 6-step workflow and how to move your business forward whenever you actually only have an hour a day. Then we go through content, how we dive into content, a content framework, we dive into how to actually generate leads from that content, how to manage your money, manage your cash. And it's, and it's just like a really, really awesome mini kit. So if you've not checked that out, go ahead and check it out. It's like, it's less than $50. Like it's less than $50. And I promise you, if you implement this for 30 days, you will see results from it. So yeah, I'm gonna let you go ahead and check that out. Go join the Facebook group if you've not joined us there yet. I did a live training in the Facebook group last— yeah, no, yesterday. A lot happened yesterday. We did that yesterday and on what to do whenever business feels hard. So number 1, go get that mini kit. And number 2, go watch that training because it was a very down, a very heart-centered, very down-to-earth and deep talk that we had yesterday on how to move your— on what to do and how to move yourself through that, right? So without further ado, let's hop on over to our interview today with Miss Sydney DeLucci. You're really going to enjoy this one, you all. So leave me your review. Let us know what you like. Let us know what you want more of, and we will see you in the next episode. Okay, hello, welcome everyone back to the Aligned Coach Podcast. This is your host and heart-centered business coach. I'm like, wait, who am I again? I'm Lindsey Baddillo. And I have an amazing guest here with me today. I have Miss Sydney Daddalucci, content queen and business coach. I'm so excited for her to come on. Sydney and I actually met in a membership that we're both a part of. We hosted this crazy Clubhouse marathon room. She is like so great at Clubhouse. And I told her, I'm like, you're taking my Clubhouse virginity. This is my first time ever on Clubhouse.
It was fun.
I don't know. So yes, I'm, I'm so excited to have you here today, Sydney. Thank you.
I'm excited to be here. Thanks for having me.
Awesome.
You're so funny about the Clubhouse virginity. It's, it's such a new frontier, if you will. It's like the wild, wild west over there. There's like rules, but not really at the same time. It's just so much fun.
It's like the rules that are not spoken or written anywhere. You know, you're like, this is just like formality, you know?
Like, right.
Like manners, you know, don't do this, or like, put yourself on mute and like do all these things. Yeah, yeah.
Why are all the mics flashing at me?
I don't know. Exactly. Are all of these people in the room? Yeah, yeah, it is different because I'm so used to like doing lives and webinars where people can like chat back to you, like where they can type in the comments. So I think there was like a point where I was like, Let me know if— and I'm like, oh, wait a minute. They can't let me know. Like they can't drop a yes in the comments.
Yes. And so I really love that new platform though, because it gives us that opportunity to like flex the different muscles that comes with being a coach. So I know all these coaches out there listening to this podcast are probably like, yes, I've used Clubhouse or they're thinking about it. So that's, that's really cool.
Yeah.
That's like a tangent, but yeah, I know this is not about Clubhouse, y'all.
Okay. So yes, Sydney, tell us, Tell us who you are, what you do, and yeah, tell us about yourself.
So you guys, hi. Thank you for listening. I am Sydney Dallucci. I have been called the content queen and I call myself a creative business coach. My background is in social media management and I've done that since 2016. I have a lot of experience with that, but what I was noticing is that my clients were struggling with the backend pieces of their business. And they weren't seeing the actual ROI that the results from the social media was deeming should be happening. So that was telling me that there was a disconnect in the backend. So then I started involving myself in the business backend stuff and that's how I have come to be what I am today. So I help entrepreneurs find confidence through their content to show up consistently, very super clear and as who the heck they want to be. Because if we've been given any like superpower, it is that there is no one out there quite like us. And I'm sure I'm going to dive deep into human design and to what I've like learned a little bit throughout this podcast. But there's like actual proof out there that we are designed in only one specific manner. Like Lindsay and I might overlap in some pieces. Like I feel like our energies really match, but she is 100% different than I am. And that is what draws our clients to us. And that is our absolute superpower. And when we can harness that, oh, chef's kiss.
Oh, I love it. Yeah. So good. You're so right. And I think that's so important, like in our industry, because we are talking to the knowledge industry, right? So we're all teaching something. And whether you're like a mindset coach or a health coach or business mentor or whatever, like Odds are there's someone else out there that is teaching something similar to you. So sometimes we may think, okay, well, the market is saturated, or there's already somebody doing this, or I've got to be so different that my stuff can't look like anyone else's. And then you get like so stuck in your head trying to make yourself different that you come out like, then you are watering yourself down, right? It's this crazy like mind trap. If you know, you know. Like the truth is, Sydney, is that like, like you said, like we are all so unique. You know, like we are all so different no matter what you're coaching on, you know? So I love, I love that you, that you talk about that and you say the phrase Wildly You, right? Like that's the name of your thing.
That's my thing. Wildly You. So what that means in a nutshell is helping you figure out how to show up absolutely authentic and aligned to who you are deep down and not having any influence from outside things. It all comes from within you. So when you hear me say Wildly You, it just literally literally means clear, aligned, and authentic.
Oh, I love it. Clear, aligned, authentic. Yeah, it's so clear. It's, it's so aligned. And it's authentic. I love that all of my stuff is like based around aligned, like the word alignment, like Aligned Coach Academy, Aligned Coach Collective, like it's all about alignment. Because again, like in the work that we do, it's easy to think that, okay, I'm going to take this strategy, right? I'm going to take this like cookie cutter method, and it's supposed to work for me. And if it doesn't work for me, then I'm broken.. And that's like, it is so sad. I see that all the time. Like, oh, well, I'm doing all the things. I'm checking all the boxes. Why isn't it working? Right. It's because like, you are not made like me.
Right?
Like you are different. Like you are not made like the next coach. You're different. Your business is different. Your priorities, your values. Right. So I love that alignment. Yes. All over, all across the board. So good.
You touched on a big pet peeve of mine there with like the cookie cutter strategies.
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Let's talk about, dive into that a little bit. So Strategies are good. They're important. Rules are there for a reason. Guidelines are there for a reason. But there's this like, there's a dynamic aspect to it. You have to know what makes you wildly you. And then you have to know what rules align with that aspect of you. Because if we completely stray from the rules, there's chaos. There's no organization. We don't have any forward motion. Right? Well, if we conform completely to the rules that somebody else has taught us based on their experiences, and then we look for their specific outcomes that they've seen, we're going to fall short because we are not them. And there's so many other things that have been put together in like how they saw that experience and those successes because there's like, there's things that are happening outside of them. There's the privilege that they have in their own life. Like we all have a level of privilege that we are allowed and that we experience and it's different for everybody else's. So There's just so many things and let's just normalize the fact that cookie-cutter crap needs to go bye-bye. Like, let's see you later. So last year.
And thinking that like, if you're not, I love what you just said about, like for example, because we've all probably, probably all have had a Coach or we've had a mentor or we've taken a course and we've probably all had this experience where we did not see the result that what we thought we wanted to see, right? And this is something that's not talked about enough. Like, oh, well my Coach got these results. Why haven't I gotten these results? Or they did this. This is how— this is what happened to them. Why is it not happening to me? And it is. It's because the level of privilege. It's because of innate, like, who you are, like your human design, your, your, your temperament, your demeanor, your personality, all of those things, right? And plus, just like what your life is like, what your responsibilities are, you know, like I got 2 kids. I can't be on social media 24/7, you know, launching my programs every single day of the year. Like, it exhausts me. It burns me me out yet. Yeah, yeah, exactly. So, so I don't know, Cindy, like, what would you say to someone that like, like the, the coach or the creator, the course creators that are like kind of stuck in this trap of like, I'm not seeing the momentum that I want. I feel like I have done the strategy. Like, I feel like I've done all the things. Like, what would you say to them?
Gosh, first things first, you said it. You are not broken. Just know that it's okay to take a step back and know that you are okay that that didn't work for you. And that doesn't mean that you're broken or your business isn't going to work. It just means that you haven't tried what actually works for you yet. So if I give some tips for those of you out there that are like, oh my God, Denise, Lindsay, you guys are speaking my language. I needed this today. Here's a few things that I would have you think about. So first things first, I'm so proud of you that you're aware of something was not working. So can we pinpoint what exactly didn't work the best for you? And then the second thing is to figure out what your actual goal is. So I have a few clients and they're working with me right now and their goal is to be happy. Like they want to be happy with how they serve their clients and happy with like the monetary income that's coming in, but they didn't specify a number. They just want to feel happy. So, and I really love that. And for some people that like stresses them out because they need like actual, like tangible goals that they can, they can check in with. But I love this goal because we just check in every now and then. It was like, okay, on a scale X to Z, like how, how happy are we today? And they're like, so happy, or I could be happier. And then we make some sort of strategy to go happier. So knowing what your goals are and what your vision is for how your business works for you is that next step. And then the last step would be to figure out the strategies that you like, like that you've seen other people implement that you like, and then learn the pieces that you want to learn from that and just be okay with trying things until you figure out what works best for you. And that might look a little messy, but what you'll come out with is a strategy that is wildly you and 100% aligned with your life, your business goals, and the process that you want to be involved with.
That was so beautifully said. So beautifully said. I say that all the time, like about taking the things and trying them, putting them into practice and then tweaking them, right? Like taking a step back and reflecting and then tweaking. It's sort of like, like, for example, like with your I help statement, I hear like in the beginning, whenever you come into a line coach academy, we don't spend a lot of time on like I help statement and like niching and stuff that we do a little bit, we clear it up in the beginning a little bit. But I'm like, girl, you just kind of put on that shoe and wear it and see how it fits, right? Like, like, because you're gonna pivot anyways, like where you are today, you're probably not going to be there in a year from now. So like, we've got to get out of our own head and just go try it on. And it's going to be messy. And you're going to feel like, what am I doing some days? Like, I don't even know what I'm like, what kind of coach am I? Who do I help? But like all along, like you're still moving your business forward, right? Because you're taking action. So yes, thank you for saying that.
Pivoting is normal too. Like if you haven't pivoted at least twice in the last year, you probably need to be on this podcast and teach us how you aligned yourself so well because you're the GOAT and like, so different, right?
Oh my god. Yeah, yeah. I feel like I'm pivoting all the time. Like I, like I told my client, we were on like a mastermind call like 2 weeks ago. I'm like, I don't even know what my I help statement is. Like, I don't know, like, I just help you like build a business that you're like really freaking in love with and like live a life that you're obsessed with. And that did actually kind of like lead me back to a pivot, you know, like, anyways, we're not gonna get into that. But Yes, I think that like you're, you should be like constantly pivoting and like constantly like assessing what, what it is that like really lights you up in your business, right? Like, and it's okay to change, like please change, please don't stay stagnant. Because if you're feeling stagnant and like you don't even feel super aligned with what it is that you're teaching, then guess what, like that energy is like so freaking contagious. And your clients are going to like subconsciously like soak that in, right? It's like, it's going to spread like through osmosis or something, you know. So yeah, do pivot. Do, do that.
Heck yeah. Heck yeah. And I love how you said that they will absorb that energy because that brings back into like the magnetism that is everything involved with who we are. Like, so to bring in like a little bit of human design elements, like I am not a human design expert. I'm a nerd in the fact that I have like absorbed all of the information that I can from the books that I have bought so far and the resources that I'm reading. So I'm just a hobbyist. But what I've learned is that human design is this method, this way of thinking that when you are born, there's particles in the universe that stars have put off and it actually accounts for the unaccounted for mass in the universe, which I thought was really cool and kind of scientific because the expensive piece of paper on my wall right here, like my diploma from college, it says Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. So my biology brain is like really happy about this information. So it was like, okay, yes, this is valid. Let's, let's dive in a little bit deeper. So what happens is when we're born, these particles affect like us and our makeup and who we are. So this gives us like our type and our personality and all of those details. I'm sure you guys have heard of like the projectors and the manifesting generators and generators and all that stuff. I'm not going to dive into that. But the information I thought was really cool and collaborated and connected with what I've been working on is that it's quite literally electromagnetic frequencies that make us up. So these particles like inside of some electromagnetic frequencies within us. That creates these like open and closed gates and channels and everything. And what I thought was so cool about this is that so each of us have different gates that are defined or undefined, and the ones that are defined in us attracts the ones that are undefined in others. Did I say that correctly? The ones that are defined in us are attracting the undefined ones in others.
Okay, so like balance each other out, kind of.
It's like, yes. Defined. Yeah, okay, they're like magnets, like pulling each other together, completing the circuit, if you will. So the, the whole idea is that your Human Design profile— if you guys have never looked it up, go to mybodygraph.com and like put in your birth information. It's super cool, and you'll see how different all of these charts can be. So that shows you that you are completely different from anybody else out there and that you actually magnetize people to you that don't have what you have because they need you. And I think that my brain needed to hear that for mindset purposes because I know that a lot of mindset issues are around the scarcity mindset and we are like, "Well, am I going to ever find clients?" Or those types of negative thoughts that pop in our head, right? Well, this drove home for me that absolutely without a doubt, there's evidence to prove that there are people out there that need me exactly how I am. So why the heck don't I show up how I do, how I want to?
Right?
So anybody out there listening to this that's been like mulling over the idea of posting something and you're like, hmm, this is kind of odd or nobody's going to like it. Uh, number one, who cares? Be you, go do it. Make sure it's on brand though. Like let me put that little caveat in there. Don't be confusing the people. Make sure it's clear. Make the correlations to what you need it to be, but just post it. Go be like absolutely authentic. Go be obsessed, like you say, Lindsay, with what you're putting out there and people are going to feel it. Like even though it's text, like I always talk about Instagram, like Instagram is where I go for like my strategy tips and when I'm like giving people advice and just put it out there because people will feel it when they're reading it, even though there's like no tone in text, as my mom would say. Oh, well you can't like perceive a tone through text message. I'm like, but you do that all the time.
That's why they made emojis.
Hello.
Right?
So people can feel it though. Like they can feel how excited you are about it. Have you ever posted a post where you're like, I have to check this box for like a launch strategy or like putting content out there that you feel that you have to and you're just like really not feeling it and then nobody comments on it and you're like—
You're almost like confirmed. You're like, oh, I knew it. I knew they wouldn't like this. I knew it.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
So it's because it's like the energy's like not behind it.
Right. Right. And people can tell. And then like if you go to like your Instagram stories to try to talk about an offer that maybe you're not like super obsessed with, people are going to be like, why does she have this if she's not like freaking out about it?
Right? And you're like, oh my gosh, this looks so forced. I can tell she doesn't want to be here. Yeah, I've seen that before. I have seen that before. And I'm like, this is painful. Yeah, yeah. So yes. And I think it also kind of goes into why certain strategies work for certain people. For example, like live launching versus like evergreen versus like Facebook versus like, you know, like all the different things. And it's because like we are just made differently, right? And someone like me, for example, I can hop on Instagram stories and I can do a live and like it energizes me to do that. Whereas I have clients, they're like, Lindsay, this is like pulling teeth. Like I cannot do this. I'm like, yeah, it's gonna suck in the beginning. Let's try it anyways, right? And if they try it and they're like, Lindsay, like this is not where it's at, then okay, like let's make an adjustment, right? Like let's lean into this other pillar, right? Like let's go here, right? So, so for me, And for example, like it was like, like sometimes like I just cannot write content. And it's crazy because I am such a writer. Like I, whenever I was teaching, I knew that like I wanted to write and that was, I started a blog and like was writing like these super, it was, it was fun, but it was not lucrative. We'll just say that. Yeah. So it's like I am a writer, but now I find that like it does feel very forced. Sometimes to write. So I'm like, let me just put a video like this is fine, you know, and that always somehow, some way, like the ROI always pays off because that's what I want to be doing. So you have to try it, see if it works or not, and then tweak it, you know, and then figure out what is you like, what is wildly you.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Have you ever had clients tell you this doesn't feel aligned, but they're actually confused with if it's pushing them out of their comfort zone?
Girl, let me drop my mic. Let me drop my mic right here. Let me change my niche for the 10th time this week. Because it's not aligned. Like, like, listen, anything y'all, like it's gonna feel out of your comfort zone. Like it's going to feel— you're going to feel some resistance from it. Like, I still get tried y'all, like as a business coach, I still get tried. I'm like, am I doing what I'm supposed to be doing? But yes, I am. Like I am because I'm really good at it, right? Like, but, but I do feel resistance, and you will too, right? Um, just because everything doesn't feel good and like sunshine and rainbows doesn't mean that it's aligned, that it doesn't mean that it's not aligned. It just means like you're having to like find your place, right? Like you've got to find your place. And, and, um, also like a truth about entrepreneurship is that like it's never gonna feel perfect. Like your life will never feel like it's put together ever again. Right? Like, like I don't know about you, but you pretty much wake up thinking about business, you know, to a certain degree, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
And on the weekends, like your creative mind is like always going, like nothing is ever going to feel like it's just right.
You know?
And I think that's just like a truth that you just kind of have to get used to the more that you're in it.
Right? Oh yeah. 100%. And so my background, so I used to be a social media manager, still have that agency. But before that, I taught indoor cycling. Okay. I was a spin instructor. So anybody out there that's ridden an indoor cycling bike or does Peloton or whatever, like, you know how instructors are. So I, um, I don't, I don't know how they are.
Can you tell me who they are? You don't know? I don't.
Oh my gosh. Okay. So like we torture you for 45 minutes on a stationary object and make you go faster and you hate us, but then you love us when you leave the room. So like, does that make you like feel really good and vomit at the same time? It's probably like what a spin instructor makes you feel.
It sounds like coaching with me. It sounds like my one-on-one clients.
I think that's why I love being a coach too, because it's just so innate for me. But so with alignment and comfort zone, I wanted to bring this up. So with indoor cycling, like I would always tell them, like the growth happens outside of your comfort zone. You know that cliché. But then I would take it a little bit deeper. So since you haven't ridden on an indoor cycling bike, you have to have enough resistance on the wheel to be able to stand up out of the saddle. Because if you think about it, like, if you have nothing on the wheel, your feet are just going to go, go, go, go, go fast when you're trying to stand up. And that's going to be terrible, right? Like, you're going to have to feel like you're sprinting in midair. Yeah. You have to have to stand up to jog or to climb is you have to have enough resistance on the wheel. So if you think about this in terms of like the growth of your business, there has to be enough resistance to like keep you lifted, but also keep you humble and growing at the same time.
Girl, if that ain't the truth. Oh my God. That is so true. Yeah. I'm just thinking back like right now, it's like the last month in my own business. Like, you know, my Instagram got shut down. So much resistance. Like April should have been named like anti-April. I don't know, something like ridiculous. Like, it should have been like, just stop, just go home, Lindsey. April was so rough. And thank you for sharing that story because it felt like I needed to grow in all the ways that I was forced to. I was forced to grow, you know. Yeah. But it was, it was all— I think it's definitely, it's serving me. It's helped me think about things for the future. Like, it's definitely like, I see that, I see the blessings from it. But it was so damn hard. Like, it's still hard, you know, I'm still like a little sour about it, you know. So, so that is so true. Thank you for sharing that. So anyone listening, if you're feeling all the growth pains, like, just know that you can't have it all. And it's really for your highest good.
If you're going through the growth right now and feeling like you hate it, just remember, see what you can learn from it, see how it's trying to push you to the next level. Because sometimes if you try to flip the script on what's happening between your ears, it'll help you see the benefit to the crap, right?
Yeah, yeah, definitely. Like that. And that's the only choice that we have, you know, like what's, what's the other choice? What's the alternative? You know, like that's it.
So crawl back in bed and give up. That's the other option.
Give up. And like, that's not—
No, we don't do that.
No, we're not quitters. No, no, no.
Okay.
So Sydney, tell us, I want to get some— okay. So you're talking about this content thing and this is like the thing that I hear all the time. About posting and like, especially when they're first starting out and they're like, I don't know how to start out. Like, what do you mean post content that's wildly me? Like, I don't know. Like, how can you, like, what would be like a good starting point for that? Like, what does that look like?
Yes, it looks like a big mess. So if it doesn't look like a big mess at first, then you're probably doing it wrong. But we're going to talk about how to do it really, really good and thorough. Okay, so Before you do this, you should probably know like who you want to serve, how you want to serve them, and like a general idea of what you want to do for them. So for example, like I went from social media management into content creation coaching. So my tips and my storytelling will be centered around content creating and talking about how to pull out the wildly you content from people and what that even means. So for our listeners out there, if you guys think of just questions that you get asked or things that you could talk about for 45 minutes and be just like absolutely ramped up. Like when Lindsay talks about aligned coaching, like she could talk about it for days probably. So that's what her middle of her spiderweb brain dump is going to look like. Aligned coaching. She's going to plop that right in the middle and then she's just going to let her brain go to town. It can be tangents off in the middle or it can be just messy blobs somewhere else on a different page. But then what I want you to do is see how you can group things together. What is kind of related? Can we tie them together and make an overarching larger piece of content? So for example, if you guys use YouTube or even IGTVs or freaking Clubhouse room, you could take that content there and talk about it. Blog post even if you want to. Carousel posts, because we know carousel posts are so good for nurturing your audience on Instagram and we have to have a good bit of content to put on those 10 slides if you're going to use all 10, right? So the more information, the better on those pieces. Now with that content, since you grouped a whole bunch of them together, you probably have little itty bitty pieces that you can then split off for more pieces, right? Then you have even more posts. And then when you're looking at these pieces, what is your specific individual stance that you take on it? What has made your journey different than the other gurus out there? I hate that word, but we're just going to use it.
Yeah.
Yeah. And why should people listen to you? With that information. So for example, with this magnetic content, I noticed a drastic shift in my own content and how people were engaging with me and the volume of DMs I got versus me posting what I thought I had to post, which was the oversharing educational content where I was basically teaching them everything that they needed to know. Without extra, right? And I mean, I also believe that you can't give away too much for free, but I also feel that there should be a back and forth in the relationship. So let's get a DM going.
Let's chat it out.
Let's, let's talk about what came up for you in this post that I shared about how I hit a $10K month or like how I helped a client be happy. Like let's talk about those things instead of, okay, well you want to post an Instagram reel. Okay. But I don't know how much you know yet. And what version of the app do you have? Do you have the ability to like add audio? Like what's going on?
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. I think that's so true. Like, I, this was something I felt trapped to thinking that I had to, and I see it a lot also in like beginner coaches thinking you have to teach on every single post and like in every single piece of content and thinking that that will be what gains you the most authority when really it's not, right? Like really people will almost become immune or like numb to it. Oh, it's just, I'm just gonna get more free info. You're also like subconsciously training your audience to be what I like to call freebie vampires, right? Like they're almost so used to getting free stuff from you. Then why would they need to go to the link in your bio to get more whenever you're that damn good on Instagram? You know, like, right? So I have found, and maybe, maybe you can vouch for this, Content Queen, that like what I get the most, like I get the most bookmarks on my post is polarizing content. Like whenever I'm like, oh, so you think you need to do this? Well, like, here's what you need to do, you know, kind of like saucy posts. That I think that's what I get the most bookmarks on. And I get a lot of replies and stuff on like me sharing my own personal story, like just kind of like talking about my transformation and like my own growth. So what do you think?
I can vouch for that as well. Okay. Other posts that I've gotten a lot of random saves on are how to work with me posts, which was actually really surprising to me. I don't know if it's like other service providers out there like tagging how like, oh, I liked how she shared this. Or whatever, because you know people are out there doing that. But it was very interesting to me to see like the handful of people that did save content like that. So remembering to keep that in your flow as well is a little tidbit I wanted to share for the listeners. Um, but polarizing opinions are so good because they make you stand out. One of the pieces that got a lot of traction that I did a polarizing opinion on is the I help statement, which kind of ties in what we were talking about earlier. I actually don't like the I help statement. Like I think the, I help so-and-so do XYZ so that they can, it's a good framework, but I think there's a disconnect with how we're taught to provide value for our audience and our content, which is very you-we based. So the pronouns you and we rather than I and me. So when you're talking in your bio, there's just a simple shift and it actually kind of helps you save some characters.
You just change your verb. I help you. I do the same thing. I never knew that I was doing this though. Like, yeah, like you don't have to.
Okay.
So like, so for example, if you— how I help overwhelmed entrepreneurs. So instead of like putting that in your I help statement, helping you do XYZ, would that be it?
Or removing the overwhelm for service providers.
Yeah.
Yeah. By doing so they can. Yeah. It's a simple shift of like the verb. So it's more impactful and it hits them with a punch because I can't tell you how many times. So I do engagement for some of the clients that I have and then I also do my own. And when I'll click over to profiles, like I help and I'm like, I help. And then it's just like my brain just like stops working for a second cause I'm so used to seeing it. So how can we shake that structure and shake the system a little bit to hit people with more of an impact? On that first impression, don't you want to stand out?
Yes. Yes, you do. Yes.
So true.
I think that's kind of why I tell my clients, I'm like, nobody cares about it, but you literally, like, you're spending, you've spent the last 2 weeks in your journal trying to rewrite this I help statement when like literally you're the only person that sees it because all of that's not going to fit in your Instagram bio anyways. You know, like we're going to have to change.
Go send some DMs to people. Like the, the, how many characters do you get on Instagram bio? Was it 90 or 120 or what? Whatever, that's not enough for like the impact that you can make on somebody's life. So throw some keywords up in there, say some fun stuff, maybe an emoji if there's space, but then go connect with the people.
Oh my God.
That's where you can make the movement. You can send voice memos in the DMs.
Like let's get in there.
Yes.
Yes. Oh my God. It's so good. So good. And you know who is like hitting it on the bio space? Clubhouse. Like Clubhouse, they got all that fricking, all that real estate, all that space in there. I'm like, what do I even put here? Like, There's so much space.
Right? And so when you use the search bar in Clubhouse, you can actually type in keywords. And if anybody has that word in their bio at any point in the bio, it will pull their account.
Oh, I didn't know that.
Nice.
Yes. Evil.
No, it's not evil. It's, it's actually very helpful, especially for like, you could actually utilize it. Fun fact for you guys, if you do engagement on your Instagram account go hop over to Clubhouse and search the keywords and then see if the person has their Instagram attached.
Ooh, ding ding ding.
Yeah, girl.
I love that. That's so good. Okay, Sydney. So this has been super useful.
Sorry.
Um, super useful and super helpful. And I think it's also been validating to a lot of coaches and creators that are just kind of feeling like they're boxed in or feeling like they're very much like, I've got to do it this way, but I want to do it this way. I think that you've given some of them the permission slip that they may need. So tell us, Sid, can I call you Sid?
Heck yeah, just don't call me Squid or Denise. Oh, you'd be surprised how many people call me Denise.
Oh my gosh, why am I coughing? Okay, I would not call you Denise. Where would that even come from? Is that your middle name? No, I don't know where it comes from. What? Yeah. That's so weird.
Okay, people are gonna listen to this podcast and then DM me and like, hey Denise, hey Denise, hey not Denise, hey Sydney who's not Denise.
I'll allow it. Yeah. Okay, so what if people want to come and DM you and tell you how freaking helpful this was, where can they find you? What goodies do you have? I know that you have a website, like you've got some freebies and stuff like what How can you impact their lives?
Oh, so like you said, I like to give permission slips and help people be wildly them. So you can find me on Instagram. I'm very active in my DMs. My handle is Sydney Delucci, S-Y-D-N-E-Y-D-E-L-U-C-C-H-I. Yes, I've tried spelling that fast all of the years that I've been married. It's hard. But find me there. My website is the same. It's just.com at the end. And I have a really freaking, oh, I'm so excited. Like I got so excited. It's just like squirrels everywhere. Like, oh my God, I can't talk about them first. So I've been working on this mastermind and it is finally announced to the public as of last Friday. I did a reel where I learned that it's going to be me. And I was like, it's going to be masterminds. It was just fabulous. It was embarrassing, but it was fun. And it was so wildly me and embarrassing, but it was great. The mastermind is called Wildly Untamed. And what I'm going to be making sure that people come out from the mastermind with is that they have burned the shit to the ground that didn't work for them. The rules that people, that they feel like were being projected on them, that they were supposed to follow and that they should do to have a business that's thriving. We're going to burn all that down and then we're going to build it back up from the ground with clarity, confidence, consistency, and it just everything. We're going to make sure that they have all of the pieces to the puzzle that will make a brand that they are proud of, that fits the life that they actually want to live instead of like building one that's for so-and-so guru over there that works for her life with no kids where we're trying to build a business around 3 kids and very active children or like whatever your explanation is or your example is. Uh, we're building that up for your specific needs. And then the best part, I've found 11 awesome experts to come in and talk to people about the strategies that have worked across the board, not cookie cutters for their clients as well, and the different specifics of the pieces to the puzzle. So I have a human design expert coming in. I have a course creator coming in to talk about how to create content that is super educational so that you're actually helping people learn things. I'm going to be teaching my, my magnetic content creation strategy. And I'm also going to be helping support people along the creating their own thing. So what they're learning and implementing it. And then I have just so many more people, confidence. I have aligned launching strategy, visibility. I have a Clubhouse expert. So if your ears perked up when we're talking about Clubhouse, I've got a Clubhouse expert coming in and just so many more people that are going to help just make that inner work. Because you know how they say like, inner work is where the big business movement is. Well, nobody wants to do that inner work by themselves, right? It's just scary. So that's what we're going to be doing in this mastermind. And I'm, oh, I'm just so excited. I'll give you a link if you want to drop it in there. Yes.
Oh my God, please. It sounds like the treasure box. Like it literally sounds like a fricking treasure box or like a goodie box. Like, ooh, what's in there? It's like, it just sounds amazing. And I can tell how excited you are about it. And of course that is contagious, right? So So it's gonna be awesome. So I will put the link to that in our show notes and y'all go connect with Sydney over on Instagram. You do post like the best Reels. Like you do have like really good content. So—
Oh my gosh, thank you. You're like the third person within a week to tell me my Reels are great. I just, that just makes my heart pitter patter.
Yeah, we're gonna start calling you the Reels Queen. Like a TikTok Queen, a Reels Queen. I love it. Thank you. You're welcome. You're welcome, Sydney. This was so good. Thank you so much for coming on. I know that everyone listening has taken so much from this. And yeah, thank you. So y'all go connect with Sydney and we will see you all next time.
Thanks for having me.
