Hi guys, welcome in to Aligned and Wealthy. I'm so excited to have you all here listening to today's show. I literally have no agenda, like nothing. I have no notes, no anything for today's show. This is actually just super impromptu. I've been wanting to put this episode out where we're going to go with today's episode. I've actually been wanting to put this out now for several weeks. Life has just had so many twists and and turns and changes. And it's time that we have had a catch-up episode. It's time that we've caught up on all the things. So this is a little bit about staying true to yourself. I'm not even sure what we're going to title this. Maybe staying aligned to your vision and your values and how that trickles into your marketing and also just some life updates. So definitely some life updates coming. If you've been following me on Instagram or you're on my email list, that was my reminder going off for soccer practice. But we're good. So, just some life updates. And ultimately, I also wanna just pour into you around staying true to your values and your vision, around your marketing and around your business and around the ways that you're serving in life and business, okay? Back a little bit and let's just do like a little recap on what's been happening in Lindsey's life. So, hello to everyone that's also new here. If this is your first episode, Thank you for tuning in. Typically we do interviews and sometimes we'll have a little solo thrown in. Um, but this is actually a solo because we just really need to do an update. So we're just going to go ahead and dive right in. All right. So about 3, no, no, no, February. So February of this year, those of you that are on my Instagram, you know that I took a month-long sabbatical from Instagram, which has been my primary marketing source for several years now, basically since starting my coaching practice in 2019. Um, so I took a sabbatical, meaning that I literally took the app off my phone. I said, hey everyone, I'm taking a break. I'm going inward and it's going to be fine. So, so I'll see you all in a month from now. And that was what we did. We took a break and it was actually very, very freeing. It was so nice there. There was a lot of unearthing. There was a lot of presence. There was a lot of nothingness too. If we can have all three of those in one, which we can, because life is nuanced and so is the sabbatical. So there was so much that I just shed during that time. I think so much attachment to the way in which we think that we must market our businesses, the way in which we become attached to the way that the world sees us, the way in which we think that we have to market or post or do things a certain way. I just literally detoxed from it all. That's what it felt like. It felt like a detox from it all. And even further than that, it showed me in retrospect, it showed me just how committed to courage that I am, I did a podcast this morning, a podcast interview this morning with a previous client of mine, Jill, hello if you're listening, and her episode, this episode will be airing next week I believe, so I'll definitely make sure to link it on Instagram and share it over there and on my email list, but. Hey gang, Lindsay here. If you are a rising business owner who is navigating the personal and professional, professional woes of entrepreneurship and you find yourself thinking, I wish I had someone to help unclutter all of the plans swarming around in my head, or I have big goals for this year and I could really use a plan to help me achieve those things, then I invite you to book a one-time laser strategy session with me. This is a one-time private coaching and consulting session where we map out your high-level marketing and sales plan. We'll answer any questions you have around business mindset or leading within your life and business. You can book your one-time session directly through the link in today's show notes. Spots are limited for each month, so be sure to book yours as soon as you desire to get on the calendar. Okay, now back to today's episode. We were talking about staying true to your values in your marketing, which we're going to talk about some today, but I was sharing how one of my core values through the exercise that I shared in her interview was one of my core values is courage. And in retrospect, looking back at that Instagram sabbatical, it took so much courage to pull the trigger and to actually do it. It took so much courage to literally disconnect from my prime revenue source. And of course I have email lists and I have a little Facebook group and all those things. Yes. But let's face it, like we all have a primary marketing source, right? And Instagram has been mine. And it's been that way for so many years. So it took so much courage to do that. And in retrospect, I'm just really proud of myself. Looking back, I'm just super proud of myself for doing that and for making that decision and for taking that leap of faith and for saying, hey, something's not right. And there is misalignment. And it was not even, I think that it's important here to say that there was never like an addiction. Like I know that some people are really like addicted to social media. And I wouldn't say that that was even the case. I have pretty healthy boundaries around social media. Like I have a 1.5-hour time limit set for Facebook and Instagram combined. I'm like literally off of it on the weekends unless I'm just there for like a little bit of like leisure. I wouldn't even say that it's like an addiction, but I just knew that there was misalignment. I knew that something was different or that something was wrong. Something wasn't, it wasn't sitting well and I had to change it. And the only way to make a change in your life is for you to be the one that makes the decision. You have to be the one that makes the decision that says, okay, this isn't working, so I have to do something else. I have to be the pattern interrupt in the situation. So in retrospect, I'm just super proud of myself for making that decision and for going there. Now what happened business-wise was, was surprising, but also not surprising, right? So what happened business-wise was I ended up tunneling my energy that would have usually been spent, actually not even all of my energy really, that would have been spent on Instagram. I ended up tunneling that to a degree into other sources such as Upwork. Highly recommend to all of you listening, if you are a B2B service provider, coaches, consultants, virtual assistants, online service providers, speakers, public speakers, like anything, like any type of— if you're providing a service for another business, I highly recommend you create a profile on Upwork. I had great success. Using Upwork to send proposals, send pitches, browse for different opportunities on there, and to just get out of that, that, hey, like I have to find my clients from Instagram rut that I think that we have all been guilty of thinking that way. And it's just not true, right? Especially if you have a skillset that can be, you know, that can be used in other areas than just the people who are on Instagram. You know what I mean? So highly recommend schedule, or highly recommend setting up an Upwork account if you've been feeling that. Also, what happened was I spent so much more time with my email list. Like those of you that were on my email list, like email rates were through the roof that month, like open rates, because I was just enjoying writing emails so much more. And like, I didn't go crazy. I sent maybe one a week or so. And then towards the end of the month, I held a presentation called Wholesome Marketing. It was actually like a masterclass, an interactive masterclass and roundtable discussion. So that week I sent a few more emails, but I just really leaned into emails. That month and it felt really good to write from my heart and to write longer and deeper and more thorough emails than, hey, that energy would have typically been going to Instagram posts and to selling on my stories and doing things the way that I had always done them, right? So it was just really cool to see, okay, I can take that same energy and I can tunnel it elsewhere. And then also leaning into collaborations and leaning into networks and leaning into my community. So I had several referrals come through that month and have still continued to come through because I've been leveraging my networks. I've been leveraging the people that know me and that know the quality of service that I provide. So it's been a really, really cool shift that's continued, that's continued from the sabbatical. So still even to this day, and here we are in May now, we're almost halfway through the year. How mind-blowing is that? But even now, almost halfway through the year, I'm still I'm still not like doing a ton of crazy stuff on Instagram. And it's just been a really, really cool shift to expand, to change, to evolve, and to really see what is aligned to my values and what's aligned to me and to mine and the way that I run my business. And turns out, which sort of brings me into this next point that I wanna go into, turns out that I have wanted for several months now, even looking back at 2021, I've wanted so badly to work with a, work with other professionals, to work with a team, to work with other experts who know what they're doing, who I can grow with, who I can, you know, just learn from and collaborate with. So that actually brings me into something also that happened in March as I was coming out of the sabbatical, transitioning back, getting back into the swing of things. I actually accepted a full-time position as the head marketing coach with a different company. So This has been a huge transition in my personal life, but it is so deeply rooted in exactly what I need and exactly what my family needs as far as me being at my best, as far as me growing with other people. I am a hardcore extrovert. Actually, I like to say that I'm like an introverted extrovert or like an ambivert. Isn't that like whenever you're both? Like, I really, I need both. I need both. I need to interact with other people, but I also need I like to work alone. I like to be alone, but I need— I like to have other people. I need to have other people to bounce ideas off of and to collaborate with and to grow with. And I really like working with a team. So I accepted this full-time position in March. I've just come up— I've just passed my 1 month, 1.5 month mark. Maybe we're at 1.5 months now, but oh my goodness, maybe we're coming up on 2 months. I think we're actually coming up on 2 months. So anyways, in March I started with this new company full-time as their head marketing coach, which was an— it's an absolute dream position for me. I work with IT and cybersecurity experts in there. So helping them with their marketing strategies, bringing more ideal clients, leads, prospects into their funnels and their pipelines to ultimately increase their monthly recurring revenue, which if you listen to that, it's very— it's exactly what I do with my private clients, my own practice, whether you're a coach, consultant. I have an e-commerce business that I'm about to begin working with, but it's all the same concept, which is also a really cool thing to know on if you are transitioning from one type of business to another, or you think that, hey, I'm pivoting from this niche to this niche, or, you know, I, you know, I just don't know if this marketing strategy can transfer. It does. If you have an effective marketing strategy, start looking at what's at the core of it. Start looking at the concepts that are, what's really at the core of it. And that is transferable. An effective marketing strategy is transferable no matter what niche, what industry, what vertical, what sector you are in, the concepts are still the same, right? So they're still the same. And so it's really, it's been really, really cool to see how everything that I've coached my private clients on, my course students that have went through Aligned Coach Academy, Academy and Aligned and Signed and all of the courses over the, over the years, how those same concepts transfer directly to the business owners inside of this new company who are making, you know, 6 figures per month. It's just been absolutely mind-blowing. It's been so awesome to help them and to work with them. And I love my job. I'm like so not, I'm so not ashamed to say that. Like, I love my job. I love what I do. Absolutely. And on that note, it's made me get rid of all of the things within my business that I just didn't feel like doing anymore, that didn't, that wasn't aligned, that was no longer necessary. It's really made me get super clear on what is necessary, what do I want to be doing, what do I enjoy doing, and operating from that place. So with that being said, I've had, I have lots of questions for sharing this on Instagram, but I want to share it here in case you're not on Insta a whole lot. But what's been a lot of the questions that have came through, it's like, well, Lindsey, are you still working your business? Are you still taking clients? How do you do both? How are you managing both? And it turns out that whenever you streamline what you're focusing on and you streamline your efforts, right, in your business, you can really get rid of a lot of the fluff and a lot of the time-consuming activities that aren't actually necessary. So, for me, that included getting rid of a lot of scrolling. I literally slimmed down my following like tenfold on Instagram, who I am following, who I am consuming information from. I got really, really strategic and just super streamlined on where I am spending my energy, my time, my money, my concentration, my focus. All of those things have just gotten super streamlined over the last 2 months and It has been awesome. Like I told my husband, I have not been this happy in a very long time, you know, as far as work and what I am doing and how I am spending my days. I am absolutely so happy with what I am doing. I have also not felt this on top of like motherhood, wifehood, my health, all of the things in a very long time. That really goes to say something. That goes to say something around Identifying what is not working in your life and then taking action to fix it, taking action to change it, right? Because if you are not going to change it, no one else will. If you don't make the change, no one else will. If you are not the one, who else is going to do it? No one, right? So, I think that this is just a great testament to any of you that are listening and you are thinking, oh, I have been feeling this, or this is no longer aligned with me, or I want to work with a team, or I don't want to work with a team. Maybe it is the opposite for you. Maybe you are stuck in your 9 to 5 and you can't wait to get out. Okay, then you're the only person that can make that change. And if that's the case, and I actually have something for you. So I am in the process right now of bundling up all of my resources, literally everything that I have used over the past 3 years to grow a highly profitable and successful 6-figure business where I have worked with over 100 business owners and the resources that they have used. I'm bundling all of that up and we are, we're giving it away. Well, not giving it away, but we're packaging it up and it's now available to you all. So if you are interested in the Six Figure Coach Business Bundle, you can sign up for the waitlist for that bundle. I'm in the process, like literally right now, bundling up all of those assets, every single course that you've ever heard me mention, every single webinar, ever done, every template, every SOP, every process I've ever written out for my team, for my assistant, for my clients' teams, for anything, podcast production, everything. Like if you really want to get like a backstage pass to a 6-figure business, plus all of the courses and resources that have been built to get there and that have helped my clients, I highly recommend getting onto the waitlist. For the Business Bundle. So you can do that at lindseypodio.com/businessbundle. That's both, that's one word, business bundle. And that's going to take you to a waitlist. You can register for the waitlist right there. And then on May 16th, or no, I'm sorry, May 17th, the waitlist or the cart will come open and you will have until the 19th to get your Business Bundle. So the cart will be open for those few short days. I'm actually going to be in Dallas speaking at a live event on those days. So those are the days that the cart will be open. Everything will be ready to go. You're going to have immediate access to everything within the bundle as soon as you purchase. You're going to have an extended payment plan. And literally, it's, it's such a no-brainer price. It's at the price, it's less than what I used to sell Aligned Coach. It's almost half of what, half, half of what I used to sell Aligned Coach Academy alone for. So if you want access to the business bundle, I highly recommend getting on the waitlist. It's the only way that you're gonna get access to it. I'm probably not gonna open it up publicly. So if you want access to it, you know that this is what you want, you have 2 and a half more weeks, I believe, to save up, to get it ready, to find out how you're gonna make it happen, to get your first payment ready and to make that happen. So go check that out and join the waitlist, lindsaypodilla.com/businessbundle. So anyways, that was a quick plug. But all of this to say that life has changed so much over the past few months. I am, oh, one more thing. This actually just came through today. As several of you know, I have co-led a collective. So it's called Lux Leadership Collective over the last 6, 8 months. Well, let's see, since like last December. So since December, 5 months, 5 months. And the Luxe Leadership Collective, we had the summit in March and now we're undergoing a pivot and we are releasing the Luxe Leadership. This is something that I co-lead with my ex-mentor and friend, she's still really a mentor, she's my friend, Kelly Adams. And she and I are just pivoting and we're evolving the Luxe Leadership Collective and now we are simplifying it and we're stripping it back to what the members and what the beautiful souls inside of this collective love the most. And turns out it was mindset and marketing. It turns out that it's a mix between getting your mindset right and getting your marketing strategy streamlined. It's getting everything focused. It's creating actionables in your day-to-day life that will help you succeed and that will help you lead, right? So we are, we are pivoting Lex Leadership. It is now mindset or Mindset and Marketing Mondays. We're gonna actually start fresh this coming Monday on May 9th. So if you want to join us and you're listening to us, you can actually join us May 9th. Let me make sure that it's correct. Yes, May 9th. And we're gonna be kicking off with our first Mindset and Marketing Monday. These are going to be co-led by both myself and Kelly at a super duper steal of a price. If you want in, if you want in and you want to be a part of this, let us know, just send me a quick DM on Instagram @lindsay.bodeo. We don't even have a link up for this yet. We don't even have like a checkout for it yet because we're just in the process of moving everything around. But this has been such an awesome source for my clients to network in, for myself to network in. So earlier on around mentioned, hey, one of my primary sources of revenue was from this network communities. This was one of them. This was one of the places where I received several referrals from. During that month because it's a small collective. I think at the max we had 25 people in there at one time. So very intimate, very close, super just high vibe, very supportive. This is a great place for you to network. It's a great place for you to get fed mindset-wise. Kelly is the most bad A mindset coach I've ever met. I am super streamlined with marketing. So you're going to be receiving support from both of us. So keep your eyes out for that. If you know that you want to be joining us, just send me a quick DM. I'll get you in. Your first call with us is actually free. So even if this is past May 9th, this is going to keep going on Mondays. So if you know that you want to come in, you can come in for free on our— on your first Monday. So I will be happy to have you in as my guest for your first Monday and see if this is something that you want to continue. And if you're just looking for that high vibe community and you don't want to do business alone, I invite you to join us. So this has been another— on a personal note, this has been just a very, just a very light action, right? Like a very light decision. Kelly and I were just talking about it this morning and I said, this is a full-bodied yes. This is a full-bodied yes to streamline what we're doing inside of the collective, to make this work for all of the members, to strip it back, get back to the core of it. And it's to do life and business together, you know, and it's to support one another. It's to not do these things alone. So I'm super excited for that. But you know what? This is also, this has been such a, it was such an easy decision because I was able to get rid of all the other stuff, right? Like we talked in the first part of the episode, get rid of all the other stuff that's just taking up time, energy, focus. You know, it's taking up your reservoir, right? Because you only have so much, you only have so much in your energy bucket. And if you're giving it to all the things or you're giving a little bit here, a little bit there, a little bit here, 10% everywhere, you're not really able to give anywhere 100%. So, it felt so natural and so easy whenever we were talking about shifting this to Mindset and Marketing Monday, that it's such a no-brainer, such a no-brainer, because my energy is so well taken care of right now. It's so well taken care of. Yes, being a mom, being a wife, running a business, working with private clients, selling the Business Bundle, serving inside of my full-time position as marketing coach, it all feels so easy because it's exactly where I want to be and it's doing exactly what I want to do. So that is a little personal update that those are things that are happening in our world right now, though, that, that's just the real deal scoop, you know, and that, that, that, that is what it is. And I could not be happier. I'm so excited for what this year has to offer. I'm so excited for the people that have come across my path. In the last few months. I'm so excited for the new opportunities. I am excited for those of you that are joining the business bundle to get all of these resources that I've poured my heart and time and energy into over the last few years. What has helped like so many women sign their first or next high-ticket clients. I just, I'm just so honored and so humbled and just so happy to be here today. That's 3 H's. I'm so honored, happy, and humbled to be here today and where I am and recording this podcast for you. So I am excited to share this with the world. I am excited to share this with you all. I have been wanting to get this podcast out now for several weeks and I have been saying, hey, I have got to put out a personal update. I have got to get this out into the world. So, here it is and here are all the things that are happening inside of Lindsey's world and how you can be a part of it. So, I would be so happy to talk with you. If you want to shoot me a DM, I'm so open. I check Instagram a few times a day, so you can definitely chat with me on there. Leave me a review if you want to hear more. If you've enjoyed this podcast, if you enjoy our shows coming back each and every week, leave us a review here. Like, reviews are the currency of the podcast world. So if you enjoyed this episode, leave a review. Let me know what what you want to hear more of. And I am just excited. I'm just excited and ready for whatever life and business holds going forward. So I will see you all in the next episode. I can't wait to share with you what all happened and what all comes to fruition. I will be in Dallas May 17th through 21st at a live event speaking and teaching there. So I I will be sharing more of that behind the scenes on my stories, of course, while we're there. So make sure that you follow along and that you are tuned in and tapped in, that you are serving yourself and your business and your family and all of the important things in your life the way that you should. Okay. So I will see you all in the next episode. See you later. Bye. Hey gang, it's Lindsey.
