Hello, I'm Lois Letchford, author of the book Reverse to Memoir and Literacy Problem Solver, and what I wanted to do was share with you some of the poems that I use with my students. Poetry is so powerful. So here's one, and it's from the book The Sheriff of Rotten Shot by Jack Palutski, one of my favourites. Saucy little ocelot, Saucy little ocelot, ocelot, ocelot. You like to turn and toss a lot. Toss a lot, ocelot. You often fret and fuss a lot. Fuss a lot, ocelot. Spotted, speckled, polka-dotted, saucy little ocelot. Saucy little ocelot, ocelot, ocelot. You're often mean and cross a lot. Cross a lot, ocelot. You want to be a boss a lot, boss a lot, ocelot. Bossy, brassy, crossy, sassy. Saucy little ocelot.
