Hi guys, as you guys can see, I'm in my truck and, uh, I'm actually delivering my first load after a long, long journey, you know. Anyway, this video, I'm pretty sure you, you're probably going through the same thing I was going through, but don't worry, I got directions for you. So, um, I just found out about the franchise tax. I have never heard of these things, you know, but I mean, I know tax, but franchise tax, I never heard of it. This is what really happened to me. This is what I went through. my business back 2022 at the beginning of the year, and now I ran the whole year. Then after that, uh, around December, I put my business on pause because I was going through some stuff that are, you know, personal issues, whatever. And, um, yeah, so I had to put my business on pause. But I have been— I was, I was always a truck driver because I have 6 years experience. I have been driving for 6 years, but as owner-operator, I'll say 3 years. Go 3 years. Yes. So anyway, yeah, I never heard of franchise tax until yesterday, a few days ago. I trying to come back in the business. Like I said, I put my— like I said, I put my trucking business on hold in the whole 2023. I didn't run single load, I didn't do anything under my business company. And so I got caught up with this franchise tax. I didn't know what to do. I went to YouTube, I trying to do my own research, I did everything I can do, man. I just could not do it. And plus, I could— another thing I didn't tell you guys, like, I was good with FMCSA, pay for my insurance, I did everything that I did that required for you to, to put truck on the road, everything. And you know, that's a big price you actually have to pay. So after that, anyway, um, I thought I was clean, you know. I go up there trying to work with, uh, factory companies, and they're telling me, hey man, you have a— your company's in a, uh, uh, it's not active. I said, what's going on, man? Like, I just called FMCSA, everything is good. He said, nah, you have something with your state that you have to take care of. And I said, what is that? I think it's called franchise tax. You have to call your state, your Secretary of State, and they will, they will show you the way. I was like, cool. So I called the Secretary of State, and they're trying to direct me what to do, telling me what to— how to resolve these things, man. I was listening. I even took a note. I still could not get it done on my own. So, but I try. I went to YouTube, I did whatever I did, man. Finally, I ran up to this account, her account, Lamont. I call her Lamont. I don't know how— I don't want to pronounce her name wrong, but it's Lamont. Hurrying up to her account and I see how she describe it, man. This, this— I mean, she knows everything about it now. After that, you know, I decided to do— I did— this is my first time ever doing this thing. It's really like you know, trying to reach out somebody, uh, trying to contact somebody on YouTube. It's my first time doing this thing, but I really needed it. Like, yeah, I really need it. So I went to her YouTube account after I watched a couple of— like, I watched like 3, 4, 5 videos and I still could not understand. And plus, me, I don't play with government work now. If it's government related, I'd rather let the professional do it. Somehow just that's how I— who I am. So anyway, I reached out to her on her DM. I, I mean, I went to her YouTube account. On the top, very top, there's a link. I click on the link, it took me to her email and Instagram. So I decided to DM her on Instagram, not knowing she was gonna respond, ever respond. I didn't know she was gonna respond because, you know, I never done this before. But, uh, you know, I went and DM her. But the good thing about me— I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing— I just went straight to the point. Hey, how are you? This and that. Hope you are doing great. I'm having these issues and please can you help me? I just watch your videos on YouTube. I stick it. And she respond back. So yes, after she respond to the video, to my DM, oh my Lord, my heart relief. So we went and started talking. She said, I can call you the next day if you really— I said, it was very nice. I really, really, really appreciate from the bottom of my heart. The process, I mean, the process was supposed to take 2 days, but it took off— it took us 4 days because of the weekends. And plus, I didn't file 2021. I didn't file my tax, but I didn't know. I don't remember. Like, it was a lot going on, uh, around that time of the year. That's why I delayed the process. But it was supposed to take just 2 days. And yeah, man, she helped me with everything. She was keeping up with the Secretary of State to make sure everything was like— guys, I recommend her to any guy, anybody who's having issue with franchise tax. If you don't understand it, you don't know what it is, guys, like, trust me, guys, she got you, guys. I recommend her to everybody. If you want to run a business, you don't know what— please, I recommend her to Lamont. She's very good at these things. And it's a very important thing because my— listen, I was scared because I just paid about over— in total, I just spent about $9,000 and just to get my business back on track. So imagine if I have to spend another— because my head, I was thinking, oh man, do that mean I need to pay the IRS? I need to do this. And it was a lot of things. It was a lot of stuff going into my head. So that's why I'm very excited. I mean, would I work with her again? Of course. Absolutely. Like, I feel right. I feel like right now, if I get into anything, I'mma reach out to her just because like her personality is good, everything is good, the understanding, the communication, everything is 100%.
