So I am so excited for the conversation today and I think everybody's going to really get a lot out of it because we are going to talk the same talk. We're very into the same types of things, so I'm excited to get into it.
Hi, Madison. Thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited to be here and absolutely, I think we're very much on the same page and I think we just bring different elements. So super excited to be here. Thank you.
Yeah, absolutely. Okay. I want to know because I think everybody that gets into the money mindset space has a little bit of their own journey with money mindset. So why don't you tell us, tell the audience a little bit about yourself and your own journey with money mindset. And ultimately, how did you get into the coaching space? Why is this something that you're so passionate about?
So I, I've always had this belief around. Well, I've always been exploring like the manifestation world and things like that probably since I was 15 years. So it's a good 20 plus years.
Wow.
And with that, it's. I've, obviously you start learning about, like, your thoughts are like the things that basically create your reality. And that's where, you know, when I started my business, you want to integrate goals and you've got like, you know, things that you want to achieve. And these certain roadblocks just kept popping up when I was an interior designer and I wanted to explore that more and, you know, just find a deeper rooting as to why this Kept happening. Like I just kept hitting the same amount of income every month, every month, every month. And I just couldn't understand why. And then I dug a bit deeper and I realized that it all stemmed from my childhood. God bless my parents, but definitely a huge scarcity mindset day. My dad is, he's now 81, so post war baby, you know, they had to watch everything that they spent. They had to basically hoard whatever money that they, that came in. And he's very much carried that mentality. He taught that to us. And like, don't spend money. And the bad times are always around the corner. And those are literally the things that I heard growing up. And then my mom came from extreme poverty, like selling dresses on the side of the road when she was six years old. So also very much like a hustler. You got to work hard, should fetch us from school and then go and sell like, like washing, like washing powders and washing liquids to old age homes after school so she could just earn some extra money. She was always like top saleswoman at her actual company. So it was just very much, you got to work hard and then you'll, you'll achieve what you want. And just something sat in me and I was like, I don't want to do that. It's like, there's definitely, there has to be another way. I remember just like, they're just at my core, I was like, this cannot be it. This. Like I'd seen other people who had created wealth and they were playing golf three times a week. And I was like, okay, but how is that a reality? But my parents are telling me something else. So that's very much where I started digging into it and just doing, you know, doing my own thing. But then now that I'm a life coach and we actually studied this, it all just makes perfect sense and, you know, just the unraveling of those beliefs and releasing them, rewiring them, and just the abundance that comes after that. So, yeah, that's my journey. I mean, obviously there's a lot more, but in a very brief nutshell, yeah.
I think it's so interesting that there is this mentality that's like rooted almost in the way our society runs, where the harder that you work, that means that you're going to make more money. But to your exact point, there's so many examples of incredibly hardworking people that aren't experiencing abundance. They aren't experiencing money in their life the way that you would think hard work would get you there.
Exactly. That's exactly it. And for me it was also, I think there's also the other side of the coin where I think the manifestation world is maybe perhaps giving a bit of a message, where, okay, well, like if you just think hard enough and you just put your wishes out there, then you don't have to work. So there's definitely the balance. There's the action piece. And by no means am I saying like you cannot work work. And I mean you like, you know, you can just chill and the money is going to come. There's definitely the action part that needs to happen. But it doesn't have to be that hardcore, you know, that old school mentality at all.
Yeah. Okay. I'm so happy you brought this up because I feel like this is also my, I don't know, sticking point, if you will, with manifestation. I love it, I teach it, I live by it. I absolutely have manifested so much in my life. But there is so much going on with talk of manifestation nowadays. And it is this like, like mentality where like people are like, I can't believe you just think you can think about your goals and then they're all of a sudden gonna happen. And it's like, no, there's so much more to manifestation than just thinking. Like, getting clear on what you want is literally the first step of it. And then from there you can utilize things like neuroscience and your, you know, quantum mechanics, like all of this. But if you don't take action in alignment with the activities that are going to help bring that to fruition and you're never going to get there. And I think that is the part that people miss. And there is kind of like a misconstrued reality around manifestation on the Internet right now where it's just like this woo woo magic. And it's like, no, there actually is one. A lot of science behind it and even more coming out nowadays. But you need to take action. And that's the piece that people are missing. But kind of in like tandem with that, I think the hard work component, when you're in action and you're moving forward in alignment with something that is aligned with who you are and the goals that you're working towards, that's where the fun comes in. Right? And that's where it's like, you don't have to work so hard because everything's kind of working in flow.
That's exactly it. It's. You're in alignment, you're doing what you want to do. And there is also that aspect of manifestation where you don't necessarily have to be 100% healed and 100%, like, in this amazing space for things to unfold. You know, we're human. At the end of the day, there is this, this element of humanness where things are, you know, we. We're here to heal and learn. So you can still create from a space of not being perfect, which is also what I really love about the healing journey. It's like we're constantly on a healing journey. You heal one layer and then you're like, oh, my gosh, okay. But now there's something else. And now there's something else, and it's going to be like that for the rest of our lives. So, you know, I think it's that thing of, okay, well, I have to, like, go to therapy and I have to do all the work first and then I can manifest. But you've already created your life where you now by manifesting not being absolutely perfect. So, you know, if you can just keep doing it, but just learn the tools and start releasing the things that maybe are holding you back and creating a reality that you're not 100% happy with. But the thing is, you're always manifesting. So it's just whether you choose to manifest in which direction is up to you.
Oh, I think that's such a good point, is that people don't recognize, like, your reality is because you manifested it. Like, it's not. It doesn't matter. Like, you're always putting out into the world what you're going to create in the reality that you're going to live. So it's like, why not learn how to kind of hack the system and go towards the things that you actually want?
Exactly, Exactly.
I am curious. So I feel like the biggest part that a lot of people get stuck on is clarity. Right. So is there anything that you help your clients with or anything that you kind of help people get more clear? Because I think, you know, when I talk to people, that's kind of a sticking point, like getting clear on what you want and understanding, like, how to go after it. So I'm. I'm just curious kind of your perspective and kind of, you know, what you would might tell somebody who's like, trying to understand how to get clear on what they actually want to bring in and what they want to manifest.
So I think, I mean, there's various ways that you can, you can tackle this, but just what's coming to mind is, you know, it's, first of all, what are the things that you don't want right now. I find when someone's stuck and they really don't know what they want, then maybe it's just easier. Let's just look at the things that you don't want, and then what's the opposite of that? And then you can kind of go through that list that's the opposite of what you don't want. And then if those kind of resonate, then you've. That's kind of your starting point that you can. That you can look at. A tool that I use in my coaching is numerology as well, which is also an amazing tool. It just helps give you clarity, clarification on your life's purpose, how you're going to get there, what are your natural talents, what are your maybe perhaps your red flags or things that you're going to stumble upon in this lifetime. So that's also a really great place to start because you. You get to know yourself on a really deep level, and then that can also just, you know, just kind of give you a starting point. But I would say if you really don't know, if you really don't know where to. Would start with what you don't want, and then what's the opposite? And then looking at that list and, and checking in with yourself and saying, how does this feel? Is this actually, like, is this the kind of direction and it's a good starting point?
Yeah, I think that's so good because jealousy and envy are emotions that we put such a negative connotation to. But when you look at it through that lens of like, oh, well, why am I jealous? Or like, if you're seeing somebody, living a life that you want, right. And you're kind of feeling like, oh, God, if only I could have that, or if I wish I could have that, it's probably a really good indication of something that you desire. And so I think that is a really good way to kind of look at the flip side of it. I love that. Okay, let's talk about numerology, though, because I am so fascinated by this. You were so kind to send me a report of my own numerology. And I'm like, all about all these exams and quizzes and tests and, like, tell me more about myself. And I don't know a lot about numerology, so for anybody else that is unfamiliar with it, can you give us a little bit of a backstory of what is numerology? And I know you kind of just hit on it, but, like, how else can people lean into figuring out, you know, what their life path is and how can that help them?
Absolutely. So numerology is the ancient study of numbers. So it's essentially you look at the numbers 1 through 9 and everyone is. Everyone is basically made up of certain numbers. When you look at your birth name on your birth certificate, as well as your date of birth, and it through various different calculations which we won't get into now, is basically how. How you can find your birth chart. And different numbers represent different elements. So basically every number one through nine carries a different energy. And so, yeah, so essentially through that chart you can have a look and say, okay, well this, this number is telling me xyz. So like, for example, for you, you're a life path four. And I was reading through it again because I did your chart quite a while ago, so I just wanted to familiarize and I was just. And obviously over time I've like gotten to know you through social media and chatting to you, and I was just blown away by at least from what I feel is like the accuracy of your chart. So, like, The Life Path 4, which is your life path, is basically what you are. Your, your purpose that you were sent here for, for your, for your mission on Earth. And your mission is to master systems and stability and processes and very methodical and, you know, you bring order to the chaos, which I think just speaks literally. That's like when you look at your social media, for example, that's you, you bringing chaos to people. I mean, you're bringing order to people's finances and people understanding money and creating a beautiful life through that. So that was really, really beautiful. So that's what the four means. But then if you look at the three, that's like almost the opposite energy, where it's like, people call it the sunshine number. And it's very much a charismatic. Like charismatics all about communication. It's a little bit all over the place. It's, you know, so it's as a. So if, you know, we can go through the numbers, but every number essentially carries its own vibration that you can maximize as well. So instead of you fighting that number and like that part of you, once you understand that, you're like, oh, is that why I am? Like, I am. And it just brings you a whole lot of peace and understanding, which is a beautiful thing.
Yeah, I love that. I'm all about any of these little quizzes that can just help you better understand why the way that we are. And I think that they're fun, obviously to read through and learn more about yourself, but There is kind of that insightfulness of like, oh my gosh, this makes sense. This is something that I definitely align with these characteristics. I felt that way when I learned more about astrology and my sign as a leo, as well as learning more about human design is it just kind of makes you be like, okay, maybe these things that I'm looking at aren't bad qualities. Maybe these are my superpowers. Maybe these are things that I should really lean into. And I think it kind of helps instill confidence in people. It definitely does in me when I learn about these little things. So that's awesome. How did you start integrating numerology into your business? Like what does that look like when you're working with someone to help them figure out like what they're working towards? Is it something that comes first and then you kind of guide from there or I would love to hear a little bit about how you integrate it.
Yeah. So it's right at the beginning when I'm getting to know the clients, it's very much for me, but even more so for them. So I do also just one off charts for people, but it's more when you working with the person one on one and we've got a 90 day ahead of us, you know, like it's a really great way to get to know someone and then when they talking. So some of the numbers have, let's just say for example have like control tendencies to over control, like micromanage and things like that. So you know, so when those tendencies come up through those 90 days, we could be like, oh well that's, you know, without judgment or anything like that, you know, like, oh well, there's that little four popping up again. Or there's the, there's the quirk of the three, you know, and it's, it just brings or shines a light on, on like potential things that, and pitfalls that you could be falling into as well as what your superpowers are. So. So I did right at the beginning of this. Of the 90 days. And we'll keep referring back to the chart and it's. And it's just a beautiful tool that the client can even just use and inte for. For themselves. So yeah, it's very powerful.
That's awesome. What's been like the most interesting or like takeaway that you've gotten from utilizing numerology either on yourself or with a client?
Wow. I mean when I do one on one numerology readings, I've often brought people to tears unintentionally. Because I think that's the first time that they really feel heard and they feel understood. And I think every tool has its place, for sure. Like, I love human design. It's given me so much value. Astrology, I haven't really gotten into, but I know that. I think with the three of them together, I think could be a really powerful thing. But as I said, some people have really been moved from their results. And then I think it's just, like, even for myself. So I think I've just gotten a lot of forgiveness for myself through, like, I think growing up with a sister, and we were always compared, and not in a bad way, but I think even just being a competitive person, I would always, like, compare myself. And she was always. But I mean, she is, like, a really bubbly, loud center. Like, not center of attention, but, like, people just gravitate towards her. And I think growing up, being the youngest the stars, like, why can't I be like that? Or, no, no, no. You know, like, all those horrible thoughts come in, and you almost create an identity around it. And through numerology, I was like, I've also got a 4 in my chart, like you. And I've definitely got the outgoing aspects of my chart, but my comfort zone is actually being, like, coming across. My personality is to come across as structured and methodical, and that's where I feel comfortable portraying myself. So, you know, and I was just like, oh, well, that makes so much sense. Like, I. When I meet people, I'm not that outgoing and crazy like she is, because we are different. And that in itself is a beautiful thing. And, yeah, it took me 35 years to realize it, but, yeah, it's a really. It's just beautiful.
Yeah, we got there, though. That's great.
How.
Okay. Specifically utilizing numerology to help bypass limiting beliefs as it comes to money. I'd love to kind of hear a little bit about that as well.
Yeah. So I think. I think it all comes down to the way that you think. So as. As you know, also, you're. You're in the mindset game, so everything comes down to your thoughts. So it's almost just unpacking your chart, your numerology chart, it's almost just a tool. Like, if someone's still stuck in their head and they can't get into their body, and they just don't want to get into those deep feelings of, like, you know, things that might have happened to them, or they just can't get to those core beliefs that have maybe made them, like, they are I like to use the chart to kind of like we'll go through what the. I call them red flags or like, you know, the, the non, the not self, the not true self beliefs that might come up from it. So I just use it as a tool to almost see. So like, for example, for myself, control is a massive thing throughout my chart through different numbers. So through unpacking and doing in conjunction with the, the life coaching work and asking the right questions, my core, one of my core things that was stopping money, manifestation for me, getting to the next level was control and then that, you know, so like I read control and then it all. Then it almost like sewed it together for me. And I was like, oh, well, I think I am over controlling because control was used a lot for money growing up for me. So now I'm trying to control money. And so it's just. It all just kind of interweaves together and whether someone can actually get that value from the chart or they just use it to almost pick up those habits that maybe they keep falling into. But it's. I suppose the tool is only as powerful as the client is willing to make it and as. As willing as they. As deep as they want to go.
Yeah, no, that makes so much sense. Okay. And I heard you talking about this recently on Instagram. The control factor of manifestation, of working through our beliefs, and especially when it comes to money. You kind of had a wonderful little rant, which I totally agreed with about how that's the other part that a lot of people struggle with. So I'd love to hear you share with everyone about the releasing control, the kind of trusting the process component of this entire manifestation methodology.
Absolutely. I love this question because I find, I think there's so many manifestation courses out there. There's. And there's so many ways that you can manifest yourself. But if you really, really, really want the goal, that there's that element of control and massive desire and that like graspy feeling and like, you just, you just can't. It's like almost like a, A desperate, like if you, you know, if you've ever been in a toxic relationship and you know, the man keeps messaging you, what time are you going to be back? Why aren't you home yet? Who were you with? No, no. And that's almost like us, when we really want to achieve a goal, that's what we're doing to that energy. We're saying, when are you coming? Why haven't you been here yet? Why, you know, and what I'm finding Very frustrating in the industry, which is why I'm trying to almost open up, open up this and welcome this in is like, we just need to let it go. But it's so much easier said than done because if you, you know, like, if you're not earning money, you're desperate, so you really want to just release that control. So for me, it's, it's, it's obviously going through that whole entire process of first of all understanding what those limiting beliefs. So for me, for example, it was control. But then it was like, okay, but why am I feeling so controlling? And then I had to like dig deep and ask myself, ky. And then it all came down to safety. Like, I just didn't feel safe. I didn't feel safe with money growing up because it was always spoken about and a whole plethora of other things. And so I didn't feel safe with money. And then I wasn't welcoming money in because I was almost like guarding myself. I was trying to hoard all my money, you know, save, save, save, invest, invest, invest. And if you think about it, I was. I'm reading this book, it's called Mindless. I think it's called mindless manifestation. It's really, it's a beautiful. If this is like the journey that you want to start, it's a really great place to start of like letting go. The step of manifestation is letting go. And you think of nature and you think of like a hundred year oak tree that's been growing that survived wars, it survived droughts, it survived floods and it just. The money, I mean this is like, it's sounding very, but for me, I'm like a very visual person. But it just allows the whatever amount of water it needs to survive. It lets it flow in, it does its thing and then it releases it via oxygen and it gives back to the universe and to earth and whatever. And I feel like that's how we should see it is, you know, we can take the money that we need, obviously save and invest. And that's what I almost like picture like the leaves of the tree and literal leaves grow and grow and grow and then, but also give back and, and it's just that constant flow rather than blocking that flow. And like I need to stop spending. And I'm like, you know that guilty energy of I'm spending and I'm doing this and I'm doing that and this horrible judgment on yourself constantly. And by you not giving back, you, you actually stopping someone else from benefiting, growing their business and sending their children to school or, you know, like in South Africa, there's a lot of beggars at. At the traffic lights. And, you know, like, you know, you. You could always be like, oh, my gosh, another one, another one. And I. I don't have all this money to give people, but, you know, you can just give every now and again. And it's just that constant flow, and your constant flow is potentially changing the world. So that's the way I like to see it. And obviously it's a whole process, and it's definitely a process of letting go and trusting. But for me, it's just coming back to what that core belief is where I start feeling that panic and that SC or whatever. It's like I just have to keep remembering and reminding myself I'm safe. I'm safe. And I keep telling myself that I'm rewiring my brain and I'm reminding myself I'm safe. And then I just picture the tree and the flow and it all starts. It all starts. That beautiful magnetization of the money process again.
I love that. I love the visualization of the tree. I think nature is, like, such a wonderful place to focus on when we're thinking about, like, all the examples of abundance in the world. I would love to talk about this mentality of a scarcity mindset because obviously this is a lot of the work that you and I both do, right, is helping move from scarcity to abundance. So what would you say to somebody who is living in scarcity, is maybe not seeing examples of a lot of money in their life right now, and they're kind of in that in between, where like, got to convince themselves that they are abundant and they are worthy of abundance and they are worthy of large sums of money. How would you. I guess what was something that you would say to those people to help them believe and trust that the abundance is coming when they maybe haven't seen any examples of it quite yet?
That's such a beautiful question. I think it's. It all comes to just starting small. So I think I used to get really frustrated when people were like, write a gratitude list. Because I'm like, well, yes, I'm grateful for my dog, and I'm grateful for the coffee I had this morning. I'm grateful for the roof over my head. But it didn't really bring up emotions for me, and I just felt like it was like leading down a road, and it felt like obligation, energy, like, I have to do this now. Which is obviously that's the first mistake. So for me at least what's really worked in the past is writing an abundance list. And I learned this from my coach, Ashley Gordon. So I must give credit where credit's due. And she, she teaches to give. So what? So like you can do it on your phone or you can do it on an Excel spreadsheet, whatever you want. And you have two columns and you have one that is value and then one that is actual money. And then you just keep like a spreadsheet of per month and, or even if you more informal, literally just keep it on your phone and just keep a list and you start tracking what free things that you get. So if someone buys you a coffee, how much is that? Is that, is that, I don't know, $10 or however. That much? However, however much it is. So you say, okay, $10 I manifested today. Did someone, you know, did your mother in law bring you a meal that you now don't have to make dinner? How much did that cost? Cool, $20. And then maybe you got a new client and, or you got a refund from the tax man and then that's actual money in the car. And then you just honestly like every single small thing that you manifested, even if it's, you see $2 on the floor, you pick it up and you say, thank you universe. And the more that you do that, the more you start, that's where the gratitude starts coming for me at least, because it's like, okay, the universe actually is looking after me. It's all these small little signs coming to me. And the smaller the signs then they almost just get bigger and bigger and bigger.
And.
And then what I started to do was I actually had like a manifestation goal for the month that I wanted to attract. So I'd like put it into the Excel spreadsheet and then every time I put in the value, then that the, the Excel spreadsheet would like calculated like, cool, with this much closer. With this much closer. And then that would get me excited and I'm like, okay, well where else can I find like value? Because like, I'm also goal oriented. So I'm like, cool.
Like let's.
Okay, does that count as manifestation? Did I just, just manifest like. Yes, I did. Okay. And then you put it in and you get so excited about attracting these things and hitting your goals. So I think that's a really cool place to start. Like even if you start with a small amount of money that you want to attract, like even if it's $2,000 that month or a thousand dollars you know, and you just, just test it out and just treat it as an experiment. Don't put pressure on it. You know, you've. You literally have nothing to lose if you are in that space and have fun with that and just say, just see it. Like, does this manifestation thing actually work and set yourself a goal and, and see what happens?
Okay, I love that. And I love that specifically because I think sometimes we expect or we anticipate having to have these big like grand goals that we're calling in, you know, like, I want to be a millionaire or you know, I want to be at $20,000 months every month. And what I love that you said in there was finding value in things that pop up. Like it's training your brain to see someone providing a meal to you as something that also is a really abundant experience. Someone paying it forward and paying for your coffee, someone like doing anything to give you something and just like not forgetting that there's so much value in that as well. And those are things that can make you feel abundant. It doesn't need to be these like crazy big cash injections in your life in order for you to do that. And I do agree, like, when you start to train your brain to notice all of that, what you're doing is opening up the opportunity to see abundance in so many other ways. And it's kind of like a snowball effect where now it's just like getting bigger and bigger and it gets easier to believe and easier to trust. And obviously, as we said earlier, that's kind of a really big part of this entire process and journey.
Yeah, that's the thing. It's just, it's. And I think the trust comes once you start seeing it. And people especially like if you're just entering the manifestation game. So that's why I think if you treat it as fun and as an experiment, then you're not like, do I trust this thing? Is it going to let me down? You know, just see it as fun and if it doesn't work, well, life's going to carry on as it is anyway. So just, just have fun with it. And it's. I can guarantee you're going to be very pleasantly surprised.
Yeah, I almost think of it as like when you're building self confidence in yourself, right? It's like you get there, you get confident in yourself by making micro promises that you hold yourself accountable to. Like you can't just, just wake up one day and, you know, be a gym rat and be going to the gym five days a week. If you've never worked out before, it's like, okay, I'm gonna wake up and go on a walk. And you hold yourself accountable to these little micro small goals and all of a sudden you have that confidence. And I think it's the same when we're talking about manifestation is like you set little small things and you prove to yourself like, okay, I think I can do this. Like, I think this is a reality that I can live in. So I love that. I'm curious, what's something that you think people get wrong when it comes to money mindset work? Like what is something like obviously you and I know everybody could use this work and it's an entire game changing situation for your reality. But there's obviously a lot of skeptics and a lot of people that maybe won't place enough emphasis on focusing on this area. So I'm curious, like, what's something that you think people get wrong about this work?
I love that and I'd love to hear your opinion too. But for me I think it's. People judge themselves so harshly. So I think they, they're not where they want to be. They, they've had this whole story about money and they know that there's room for improvement and I just can't hold on to money and what's wrong with me and I'm like, I can't invest and whatever the story is that they're telling themselves. And I find the more it's almost the opposite of what we've just spoken about. The more judgmental you are on yourself, the more you're closing your off your yourself off to abundance. And for me, I think the way to counter that is to just observe. Once you are aware of those thoughts that keep popping up in your head, you just observe them non judgmentally and you say, oh well there's my little. The way we, we. We learned about it was called. You call them that. It's the dick, the deep inner critic. And your dick is talking to you.
Wow, we're not going to forget that one. I love that.
And, and you're like, okay, Dick, like shut up now you know, okay, well you don't speak to yourself like that. But you know, it's just that awareness. Okay, he's he or she's rearing its ugly head again. And that's a visual and really not.
Going to forget it now. I love it.
And, and you just look at it in a non judgmental way and you just say okay, what is it trying to teach me? What is the thing that I need to learn from this, what is it trying to protect me from? And those are really powerful questions that you. Because your subconscious only really makes changes through questions. Some really powerful shifts are through open ended questions. So if you can ask your mind those questions and say, what is it trying to protect me from? What is it trying to keep me safe from? And that's when you just start, that's when you start opening yourself up to what is that root cause of that thought that keeps coming back. And the less judgmental you are about and you just treat it as an observation, the, the quicker you're going to heal from it.
Yeah, removing yourself and looking at it as like a third party is super helpful. And I love what you said about naming your inner critic, giving it a name and recognizing that your inner critic is not you and you don't need to listen or abide by. Right. And a lot of times it's there to keep you safe. So it's, it's the comfort, it's the known. And anytime you try and break out of that or do something new or do something different, do something that expands you and feels scary, that voice is going to get loud. And learning how to quiet it and recognize it for what it is is such a powerful learning lesson and such a powerful tool to utilize. I totally agree. I, I feel like what people get wrong is how much of a role it plays. I think, you know, specifically right. When I think about an example in my world of money, like people want to focus so much on like budgets and spreadsheets and spending better and investment strategies and how am I going to get my highest roi. And it's like we focus on like the logistical stuff and this goes for any change that you're trying to do, but your mindset around it plays a significantly bigger role than the strategies that you are implementing across again, anything. And so I think that I'm so grateful that we are living in a time where this conversation is so much more prevalent because I think people are starting to recognize and awaken to the fact that the mindset game is like the game to be in. Like, no matter what you want to do in this world, mindset is the biggest contributor to whether you are going to succeed or fail. And also no matter what you're doing, money mindset specifically plays such a big role because it changes how we show up, it changes how we go after our dreams, how we go after our goals. Like, I don't think people recognize how much our beliefs about money hinder us from moving forward towards our life's goals. Like they're so, so intertwined.
That is so, so true. And I feel like that's. You, like, hit the nail on the head where if people don't look after their money mindset, cool, you might get a massive bonus at the end of the year. And then they come to you and say, cool, I want to invest it or whatever it is. And they, you know, they come, they, they want to learn what to do with it. But if their mindset is bad, often that money will just seep through their fingers and they don't know where it went. And it's because of those money, money beliefs. So they're going to make bad investments or they're going to go, whatever, whatever the story is. And without healing that first. The money mindset is the first step and you can still do it in conjunction with earning a lot of money and investing and doing your spreadsheets and budgets and whatever it is that makes you feel good or what you have to do. But it's, it's like, yeah, it's like doing cardio. It's like it's always good to have a healthy heart and you can still go and do the strength training and eat your vegetables and things like that. But like, you should always just keep your heart healthy regardless of whatever you're doing.
Yeah, absolutely. Okay. I want to talk about this belief then, about worthiness because I feel like self worth and net worth are very intertwined and self worth and how we carry ourselves when it comes to money are very intertwined. So what is your perception of how those two kind of play hand in hand?
Wow. I find I actually just did a coaching call now just before this call, and it was all about self worth. It was all, I feel like if you, if you feel like you are not worthy, it's all energetics. If you're not worthy, why would the energy of money feel like it's deserving to be in your company too? And you're not going to treat it with respect because. Not because you don't want to through no fault of your own, but just because of that belief, you're not treating yourself with respect. So I think it's just this whole energetics of, you know, it's almost like when you walk into a room and someone's like repelling you because they're like, almost like you're like, I hope I don't have to sit next to them at the dinner table. You know, when there's like a long table of people and it's almost like that's kind of the energy you're giving off. It's like, it's like I don't deserve to be here. It's like an E all mentality, like, you know, yeah, I just don't deserve, I don't deserve anything. And it's, it's definitely something that you can overcome for sure. The first step is just becoming aware of it and, and accepting it and not once again, not judging it. Because it's not your fault that you feel this way. It's often circumstances that have happened to you throughout your life or things that you've been told, or things that you've seen and learned and that's the first thing to forgive yourself, forgive whoever made you believe those things. And once again, it's. Once you start realizing these things are, these thoughts keep coming up. But it's that first step of shining a light on it, that's when things can change.
Yeah, absolutely. And that Eeyore mentality, when you're that person in your job, in your home, in your business, like that's not sexy energy, like that's not money making energy, right? So it's like that self worth believe, like if you don't believe that you're worthy of a promotion at work, you're probably not going to get a raise, right? So it plays into money there. If you don't believe that you are worthy of, you know, working with clients, like how are you supposed to call in more money in your business if you don't think that you're worthy of all this abundance? And I think that that's another example. When people do come into large sums of money, but they don't believe that they are worthy of it, then they find ways to get rid of it, right? Or like bills pop up out of nowhere or just like random happens and now all of a sudden they're like back down to whatever that comfort level is from a finance perspective. And so so much of this money mindset work is helping women and helping people in general just like believe they're worthy of larger levels of abundance. So when you have that money that comes to you, you know how to hold it, you believe that you can, otherwise you kind of just like find it's like a little leaking hole in a bucket. Like you just find ways for that money to completely disappear. Which is not what we're here for. We're here to hold large sums of abundance. Because to your point, there's such an incredible ripple effect when we have money and we are good hearted people that want to do really great things with it. The ripple effect on that is just like you can't even tell how large it is. So I totally agree.
And I think it's, I think what the hard part is, is if you aren't open to money mindset work, you'll never know what that core belief is that's holding you back. So whether it's you're not worthy or if it's a safety thing or whatever that, that core belief is. And you might just. So you might believe and consciously know that you want more money. But if you're not doing the deeper work, you, you don't know perhaps you don't know that you, that you don't feel worthy. And it's asking those right questions and working with the right tools and techniques to help you get to that. And only then you can actually start healing from it. Where I think a lot of people just keep going through this world very blindly and people keep going through this world very blindly with just, you know, hoping that more trying to manifest. Trying to manifest. And it's that core belief of not being worthy that's holding you back.
Absolutely. I think that's so important. So yeah, if you're listening, everyone needs money mindset work. And I think this is something else too. I just like to remind everyone is like everybody's got a belief that they can work through. Right. It's not like, oh well, maybe I didn't have this like super traumatic childhood. So like I'm not, I shouldn't have these limiting beliefs. Right. It's like no matter what your upbringing was, there's some belief there that deserves exploration.
Absolutely, absolutely. It's actually sometimes people from really wealthy families or really happy homes can have some quite complex traumas and beliefs because they, they, they've got these, you know, limiting beliefs but. And then they feel guilty about it because they're like, well, I had such a beautiful life growing up. Who am I to have these beliefs? And you know, and then you can spiral that way and then it just comes with a whole plethora of other stuff. Stuff. So everyone, as you say, everyone's got their thing and there's nothing wrong with it. We're human. So yeah, that's the beautiful part.
We're here to heal 100. And then as you move into like new experiences in life, like you come up against new limiting beliefs and they start showing up in new ways. So you had mentioned this at the beginning, but it's like the work's never really done. Which is kind of a. I don't know, overwhelming thing to think about. But, like, once you do learn the tools and once you are able to be able to, like, recognize it, it does get so much easier to work through as you reach new levels of it. It.
I. I actually think it's quite fun. It's like, oh, that. That thought just popped into my head. Where did that come from? And let's. Let's just explore it and get curious about it, and let's not. It's not me. It's something in my subconscious trying to keep me safe. Like, let's just. Thanks. Subconscious. Like, what are you trying to tell me? Rather than being like, oh, God, here's another limiting belief that's just popped up, you know, like, just. Just make it fun. But as you can see, like, just make it fun.
Yeah, absolutely. Okay. I want to make sure everybody knows where to find you. And I also feel like when you say your Instagram handle, there's a backstory there. So I would love to hear the story of where your Instagram handle came from and then let everyone know what it is and where they can find you.
Oh, thank you. So my Instagram handle is Fox. Fox to Phoenix. So, like, a little red fox. And, yeah, I just. I just found. You know, I find, like, a fox is sassy, and it's a hustler, and it just gets stuff done. And it's almost like the energy that were us women before, we do the work is in, you know, like, let's just get stuff done. We always make things work, but it's not a negative thing. It's just it. It is what it is. And then, obviously, Phoenix, we. We do the work, and then we rise like a phoenix, as dramatic as that sounds. And. Yeah. And you can have that beautiful transformation. So it's not a negative. Negative thing to be a fox. It's a beautiful thing. But if we just do the work, we can rise like a phoenix.
I love that. And, yeah, you obviously are, like, wanting to work with women that are, like, here to do the work. Like, let's do what it takes to move to the next level and understand that, you know, the work is all going to be worth it. So I think that's so beautiful. I was reading it, and I kind of figured I had some sort of, you know, symbolism of that, but just kind of wanted to hear from you what that is. Okay. I want to end with two questions. First being, what book do I, in the audience, need to read next?
I'm like, A binge book reader at the moment. I've got a lot that is half read and I'm going through them all. But I think for what we spoke about today, I think, let me just double check the name. Let me open up my Kindle. I think it's that mindless manifesting. It's really powerful. Mindlessly mindless money. I think it's called Mindless Money. Mindless Money, Money manifestations.
Okay.
So I would start there. Just I feel like if you are in this world and you're already listening, if people are listening to you, they are kind of in the manifestation world and maybe struggling with that releasing part. So I find that book will be a beautiful start for that last step of manifest. Manifesting. And then what was your second question?
Second question is what is one thing that you are busy getting better at right now in your life?
So for me, I am working on balance. So it would be balance right now. I feel like my head is down in the. On the ground, working, working, working. It's really hard to come up for some air. We've got some beautiful trips lined up and I'm almost like resenting them a little bit because I'm like, I have to work. When am I going to get the work done? And I want to spend time with my husband and my baby and all of that. So I definitely think it's balanced. And I think it's also just with that it's coming up for some air and allowing for that manifestation space to open up. Because I feel like if you're just too much in that masculine energy, then things stop flowing. So definitely on those two, I love that.
I feel like I can relate to that one so much. I'm just like, heads down, having so much fun, working on different aspects of the business right now that I almost have to like remind myself to carve out space and carve out time to go enjoy other aspects of life right now. And I think that's like back to what we were talking about. It doesn't feel like hard work because I feel so in alignment. So it can get kind of hard to recognize that, okay, I do still need to step away and I need to be able to go like live life and experience other things. But once you do find your thing and once you do feel in flow with it and you kind of like, you know, work through some of these beliefs and you feel confident about the passion projects you're bringing into the world, like, it's hard to step away sometimes, especially when you know the impact that it can make. So I totally, totally resonate with where I'm at in my life right now, too. So I wish you the best of luck. I hope you enjoy the vacations and the trips and all of the things that you are manifesting and calling in right now.
