Write down three wins from today and three to aim for tomorrow. Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy's method keeps you focused on what you actually achieved instead of what you're missing, and prevents endless to-do lists from crushing you.

I recently finished reading The Gap and the Gain by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy. One of the best methods they suggest for staying in the gain is before you go to bed to write down 3 wins you had that day and the 3 wins you want to have tomorrow. The key is to stick to just 3. No more, no less. People, myself included, often put a bunch of things on their to-do list that more often than not doesn't get fully completed. A few things get checked off, but in comparison, it looks like you came short of your goals. But you really didn't. You made significant progress, just not the ideal progress you set for yourself. When you just write down 3 and get those 3 done, it's much easier to see and appreciate the progress you made. Plus, you probably also have other wins throughout the day in addition to the ones you set the day before. So if you aren't doing this routine already, I highly encourage you to try it out.
