The speaker listens to audiobooks while playing Minecraft instead of reading, because the game's repetitive tasks like digging and building don't distract from the story. Minecraft's muscle-memory gameplay keeps hands busy while the narrative stays in focus.

I prefer to listen to books rather than read them. Sometimes I'll read and listen at the same time, which is the ideal way to do it, but most of the time I'm doing something else while I listen, and a lot of other people seem to do this too. It's always a mindless task that you can do without much thought, like cleaning or working out, but I do something a little bit different. I will often play Minecraft while I'm listening to a book. Now I know what you're thinking, how can you focus on the book while you're playing a video game? Well, Minecraft is kind of unique in that you can do a lot of things that don't take much thought, like digging for resources underground, chopping down trees, or building a structure that's really easy to replicate over and over. It all just becomes muscle memory. But I don't think what I do is for everyone. It just happens to work for me. So my question to you is, what do you like to do while you're listening to a book? Let me know in the comments.
