Aiming for 10x goals instead of 2x ones can actually be easier because it forces you to think bigger. Use the 80/20 rule: find the 20% of activities that drive 80% of results, master those, and delegate the rest.

The new year is coming up, which means setting new goals for 2025. But I wanted to give you a new perspective on goal setting. I started reading the sort of sequel to The Gap and the Gain called 10x Is Easier Than 2x. The main premise is that bigger, scarier goals are actually easier than little goals. I've just started reading it and already the book has been awesome. One of the key parts to achieving those 10x goals is actually by doing less. Not more. Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy talk about the 80/20 rule, where 20% of your work is responsible for 80% of your results, and that if you want to 10x your results, you need to focus on and get really good at that 20%, and then delegate the other 80% that is only responsible for 20% of your results. It's not about how much effort you put in, it's about where you're putting your effort. I'm going to continue reading this awesome book. Let me know in the comments if you've read 10x Is Easier Than 2x before, or if you've never heard of it.
