A sales leader explains why traditional cold outreach fails and introduces Forsquls, a platform that helps reps build pipeline through trusted introductions instead of blind prospecting.
If you're a sales rep or a sales leader and your outbound prospecting results are less than optimal, poor, there's a conversation going on within your organization and it may not be out in the open. It might be just a leadership, it might just be in operations, but there's a conversation going on about the lack of results. And I've, you know, I've been as a sales rep, sales manager, vice president of sales, svp, CRO, you know, all versions of leadership here, responsible for generating leads, creating pipeline, and the conversation is degrading over the last several years. It's definitely degrading. It starts with a conversation around, you know, hey, maybe the reps aren't trained. Maybe they don't know the product. Maybe we're not focused on the icp, maybe we don't know how to articulate value. There'll be a lot of retraining. So everyone's going to start focusing in on training to improve performance at the SDR and outbound sales rep level. Then they'll start, you know, and that, that'll take place and the impact on results will be, you know, none, very little impact. The next step that'll happen is you'll often see leadership jumping in to manage the process with more vigor. They'll make sure that the cadence of outbound activities is more precise, more measured, make sure that it's consistent. They'll lean into this for a few quarters and the results will be minimal. Then the folks will say, hey, there's a lot of work here. Let's add automation. So they'll look at and complete the rest of the solution set, the tool set required to do this with a little less manual effort. They'll try to add scale. They'll say, hey, sending 20,000 emails from our team outbound a month isn't cutting it. Let's try to get that to a hundred thousand. So let's add tools that enable us to do scale. Maybe AI tools, maybe an outsourced SDR organization. Again, the goal here is to just add scale and you know, that'll run for a quarter, two quarters, and you'll see, you know, a lack of incremental results. Okay, that then, you know, somebody's like, well, maybe everybody's just lazy or maybe the whole team is incompetent. Maybe the sales team, the SDR team, sales management, sales leadership, go to market teams. Maybe it's just an incompetency thing. Maybe we don't know how to do it at this organization and so maybe we need to start replacing Sales reps, replacing the team, replacing leadership, right on up to the top. And, you know, the board and the senior executives will say, let's go find somebody that's at our stage, right? So if we're at 30 million and our goal is to get to 50 million, let's go find somebody who implemented this outbound machine at another company successfully and took that journey from 20 million to 50 million. And let's get them to come in here and replicate that machine in, in our business. And they'll go find those folks, they'll bring them on the team, they will implement the change, they'll implement new tools. They'll switch out, you know, sales loft for outreach. They'll switch out HubSpot with, you know, marketing cloud. They'll, you know, there's all sorts of little tools that they'll, you know, fiddle with. They'll. They'll hire a new team, hire new team members to plug in better leadership, different type of cadence, different kind of management. And they will. That'll run for, you know, six months and won't see incremental gains on these poor results. And, you know, we've already gone through this turn two or three times over the last three or four years. And, you know, I expect executive teams, boards still haven't come to the conclusion that the entire outbound prospecting engine is completely broken. They haven't come to that conclusion yet. I know this because I get recruited consistently to come in and help as a CRO, replicate this engine, this outbound engine, build that engine that you built someplace else, bring it in to this new organization, turn it on, let it rip, help us get from that 20 to 50 million or whatever that stage is that that company's focused on. They think it still can work. They think their team is the problem. They think their system is the problem. And yes, everyone can improve. You know, all the things I just talked about in their outbound strategy. But the key problem is outbound is fundamentally changing because the buyers are shutting it off. They're completely shutting it off. It's too hard to get through. And we need a new strategy. The whole industry needs a new strategy. I don't think companies are going to come to this conclusion fast enough. And that's why we built for equals, because I know sales reps are out there by themselves. They need help. Their companies are in this process of just making continuously the wrong decisions around fixing outbound. And meanwhile, these sales reps and SDRs are hung out to dry right until they get replaced. And that's not Fair to the sales reps because they're hustling, they're working hard, they're working more hours, they're putting in more effort, they're doing more tasks and they're still failing and we need to help them out. That's why we built Forsquls. It's designed to create a new channel that works, that works really well. Instead of you, you know, spraying and praying, you put in our system who your target accounts are, who you want to sell to this year, start a sales cycle and build real pipeline with this year. And the system automates finding the right match of a trusted advisor in that account that can help you get in the door and provide you a warm introduction and coaching so you can have a successful sales cycle. That's what we do at four sequels. It's really built for the individual sales reps. I hope the teams come. I hope one day, you know, I get sales leadership coming in and saying, hey, let's sign up our entire team on force equals. I don't expect that to happen really quickly. I, I really expect this is going to be a grassroots effort of change. It's going to be led by you, the sales reps on the ground. And I want to give you that platform. We're building this out. We do have the solution does work today. It can make an impact for you and your pipeline today. But I want you part of the team. I want you part a member here at forsqls because I want to learn what you need because we're going to build it on this platform focused on helping the sales reps that need the help. And on the other side of the platform, we're also going to be helping the customer success teams. And I'll talk about that in a different post. But anyway, if you're a sales rep, you're struggling with this outbound, you're having difficulty communicating to your leadership what you really need that you need change. We're here for you. I'm here to help. Anyone can contact me directly. My email is markorcequalsai and look forward to speaking with you, helping you out and let's win some deals this year.
