Marcel Fernandes explains learned helplessness: the brain conditioning that makes you believe you can't change, even when you can. Your past doesn't dictate your future. Breaking that belief is painful, which is why your mind resists it.
Chapters
I know so many people, man, are in situations where they don't see a way out anymore. They think that because of their past experience, because of what they lived, because of what they've been taught, because of what they've been told, because of all their past failures, they can't make it out anymore. But that's a lie. Your brain is conditioned to feel helpless. It's called learned helplessness. Your brain learned to feel helpless, and now your brain doesn't want to tell you that you're wrong. Right? That's why it's so frickin' difficult to change your life and to break these limiting beliefs, these beliefs, these things that you believe that limit your potential, because your brain inherently doesn't want to let you know that you're wrong because it's painful and it doesn't want to feel pain. But you need to understand that the situation you're in isn't the situation you're destined to be in. There's something greater for you.
