Welcome Expert Authority World to the Expert Authority Effect Interviews podcast. I am your host, Mario Faccini, and I will be bringing you the best people in the world that I know that are experts and authorities in their given field, that demonstrate value, that demonstrate heart, that demonstrate making an impact. Because what else is there? This is the whole reason I'm doing it. Ever since I was little, I've always loved helping people. That's why I started my company, iwd now marketing and publishing. That is why I got into video production. That's why you're watching this here and listening to it in the podcast.
I have met some of the greatest people around the world for over the years. Some of them are my clients, some of them are colleagues that I know, and I want to bring them to you because I have the unique perspective of hearing from these people behind closed doors. And we meet through business and build friendships beyond that. And last year, I had a turning point in my life, and it just was resonating on my heart because.
Too many people think they're alone, and I'm here to tell you that you're not. And too many people, whether they look good on camera, they look good off camera, whatever the case may be, everyone has a story to tell, and I know those stories, but the world didn't. And that's why I'm bringing you this. Let me give you a little bit background on myself because there's a format I'm supposed to be following to this, and I just want to share with you, but I will try to follow it. So my background is I grew up as a kid. I've always loved helping people. I've always loved movies. And it started with a Ninja Turtle flip book in the cereal when I was young.
I remember flipping it, eating the cereal, seeing the pictures that were moving. And I always was into drawing. I was always into art. I was always into all of this stuff. And I am so thankful to my mom and dad and family for encouraging me to do all of this. And I don't take it for granted. I also.
Grew up with two older parents and two older sisters, and I was frequently on my own, alone, just like with kids, not like I was left alone. I mean.
I don't know what I mean. I mean.
I was always the outlier.
I always saw the kids with their parents in their age groups, and I was always doing my own thing, ever since I was a kid. But I saw that Ninja Turtle flip book and I go, wow, I know the pictures are still, but they're moving. And it just fascinated me. So I've always liked photography and video. And I'm very thankful for dad because he was a great storyteller.
And I'm very thankful that I'd like to think I can do the same thing. And mom and dad always entertained, and they're great for putting on events and bringing everyone together. And I always wanted to do that. So that's why I started my company. I wanted to unleash my creative side. In high school, I knew I was gonna have a very profitable and successful company.
Or a really expensive hobby. And expensive hobby. And I chose the successful and profitable company. I started my first one when I was 12. I started this one when I was 18. And I always felt like I was running uphill trying to catch up with everyone else because I was always younger.
Family, friends, cousins, colleagues, whatever the case may be.
Almost every Friday night, I'd be playing in my car, installing speakers, doing stuff. Everyone else is out, everyone else is out. I'm doing lawns, growing my business, following my dream. Everyone else is out doing their thing, and I've always done mine. But I love people and I love doing stuff together. But I've always had this burning desire.
A vision from God to connect the world and connect people.
And truthfully, despite what you may have seen in the past, or if you're joining me for the first time now, welcome. I have been hiding. And over the last year, year and a half, all of my worst fears have came true.
I really wish I could be telling dad right now what I'm up to, but I lost him on Good Friday.
2017.
And I'm very thankful for him because this is the office we shared, and I'm very proud of that. And I remember the first time I went to speak to an audience, my first speaking engagement in 2011. I was nervous as all heck. And he said, if you want to practice your speech, I'm here to listen. He was always, always there for me and always encouraging me.
I guess I just wanted to make him proud.
So I did. I wrote some books and I did some stuff on video, and I was speaking. And years ago, a lot of the stuff I wanted to come true came true. And I'm very thankful for that. And I don't regret it for one second. But there was always something missing. And I felt like I was hiding and I felt like I was hiding.
And last year was the first time in seven years that I actually opened enough relationship and loved someone out of fear of getting hurt again.
And I got hurt again.
But I don't regret anything because it taught me I was hiding from that aspect of connection.
Of love.
For truly connecting with people in business. But past business.
The sequence of events that led up to this is not coincidence. And looking back, it's I. I know why they happen now. I know why God did it this way. Because I could never truly open up with you here through audio and video to say, you're not alone.
There's great people around the world that need your help, and I plan on putting you in front of them. And I actually just got calm saying that. I've been a nervous wreck all day. I don't know if I should date this or not. Why the heck not? I can do what I want. It's my show, and I've been doing it my whole life. I'm one week away from launch. It's another Friday night.
And I have about four invites to things and stuff today and stuff tomorrow. And I physically wasn't feeling good earlier. You can ask my stylist. I just got back from the salon.
And this has just been on my heart. This is not just a show.
This is the legacy I'm leaving to continue on working. Dad left off or left.
I was always hiding before. I was always afraid. What everyone thought. Two greatest fears, losing dad.
And getting hurt again, both happen. But I was still here. I am still here.
And I'm thankful for all experiences, because if it wasn't for that, I probably still would be just, I don't know, putting on a front, putting on a show, putting on a whatever, Hiding behind my mask of whatever it was. Ambition, work, whatever the case is.
And I don't want that for my life. I would love nothing more than a great wife and a family out of everything in business. I don't think I've ever admitted that to anyone, but it's the one thing I don't have in my life yet. The rest is so second nature to me. So when I decided to start this, it wasn't just gonna be audio. It's audio and video. If you're hearing this on audio, there's a HD video version. If you're watching this on video, you can also listen while you're jogging or relaxing on the couch on itunes. I'm bringing everyone I know to you to help you grow your business.
I know some of the best people. And when I was thinking about doing this.
I just. I was sad. I didn't want to do anything. And if it was up to me, I probably wouldn't. But God gave me A vision after.
Service one day.
The sermon was about and on the show notes page I'm gonna put the video and I hope it impacts you as much as it did me. And it said, are you honoring God in your work? And I would like to think I was.
I would say I was. But to what degree? Because the truth of the matter is I was doing it all out here. But what was I doing with my talents, gifts and abilities?
I had learned how to be on camera, I had studied video production, I had done interviews, I have done public speaking. I'm an international best selling author. I help people with their trainings, I help them publish books. I've done this hundreds and thousands of times. What was I doing? As little as I could to be comfortable, truthfully. And I go, you know what? I've survived the last year and a half. What am I going to do for the next hundred years? I felt like I was done and there was no point to go on and just coast. Maybe at best case scenario.
I go, you know what? Let's do the one thing I haven't done and put myself out there.
And if you think it's easy.
It'S not. But it's simple and the world needs you. There's too much crap in the world. And I could show you my dream board from a decade or two ago. Ever since high school.
I've always wanted to connect people. Even in band. I was in band, choir, drama. In high school I play alto sax, tenor sax and piano. And I remember we were in the St. Petersburg Hollywood. No, that was two events. Hollywood parade was one. But we were in St. Petersburg for Easter and marching in a parade and something happened with the buses and there was like 200 of us, 188 of my friends, and then the teachers. And I remember standing outside of the hotel and most people were just talking. There was, there's no cell phones to be fiddling on really, so people were talking and hanging out, kicking stuff around, teenager stuff. And I remember just looking, looking around again pretty much on my own, just kind of off to the side. And I remember thinking, I would love nothing more than to pick up, pick up the phone and be able to know someone here right now and go, you know what? Band director, don't worry about the buses, I got you covered.
Call someone up and have not just transportation, but limos. First class, enjoying it. I wanted Hummer limos because Hummers are cool. They're H1, the original one. Throw that out there. And I just looked around at all my friends thinking how cool would it be to just be able to pick up the phone and half hour later, there's five Hummer, limos, buses. Forget that. We're not doing that this trip. And there's been many times that I've just wanted to do stuff. Even in eighth grade, I thought I was thinking, to mom and dad, you know, I'm gonna get them some little heart thing made, you know, maybe a card. No, I wanted to send them away for the weekend to a nice resort or something and, like, really treat them, the people I love, I love with all my heart. And I remember everything. And that's why it breaks my heart to get hurt. I can't compartmentalize it. I literally remember everything. It's the greatest gift I've been given. And also, like, I try to minimize the bad because I remember everything. And when I lost Dad.
I felt like my world shattered.
And I still have my family and Mom's doing great and I love her, and. And I have so many great people in my life, and I still look around and just think, why am I not doing more? I can help so many people. What am I doing? Well, I've been the bottleneck, and I decided, you know what? No more.
I've been blessed to be able to do everything I've done and help people with their business and grow their business and profit. And.
I lead entrepreneurs to increase profitability by turning their expertise into business assets. If there's someone that wants the exact definition of what I do, I'm a client acquisition strategist, and it's a lot of fun. And like I was saying, I remembered the behind the scenes. I know what people say behind closed doors, and I assure you that no one is perfect. And I've been debating on what to say on this episode, and there's a format I'm supposed to be following towards. Tell them about you. Tell them about. About the show. I think I covered both of those. Not sure where we're at with the. I have to tell you about the frequency. That's the other thing. And I'm doing daily HD video podcasts, so the audio version will be on itunes. Stitcher, everywhere you can find your look in your grocer's freezer aisle.
The audio version is going to be there. The video versions, we're going to have full transcripts. I'm really excited to get the best of the best in your hands, in your. In your pockets, in your mobile devices, everywhere I can, because I know there's more of you out there. And this isn't just about, oh, look, someone's successful, they need to be a have a heart, have a servant attitude and be contribution focused. I'm not looking to showcase pricks, okay? There's a lot of great people out there, but frankly, some of them, I don't like their attitude. And if they can't be thankful, as far as I'm concerned, they're just contributing to the bad and the negative in the news. And my goal is to bring back good moral values and get families closer together. And this trash I see out there is just. Just that there's so many people I know wanting to make a difference and I'm thankful. I know them and I got them in my phone. But here's the deal. Everyone is afraid of something and unless you can get past it yourself, mine is not going on camera. Mine was having my heart broken again and losing dad. What's left? At this point, there's nothing. And that's why I'm gonna bring to you everything to the best of my ability on a regular basis, daily. If I didn't mention it, I meant to say daily. And my goal is to keep that up as long as physically feasible is.
It's my goal and God gave me the vision for it and I'm going to share that with you. And I didn't feel I was honoring God in my work totally because I think I trailed off there about 10 minutes ago. But the point was not everyone likes to be on camera. Not everyone likes to speak. Next to death, public speaking is the second greatest fear. And I love encouraging people to open up to it and I love it. If you'd like to book me on your stage, I'm here. I love audiences, I love people. And honestly, if it was up to me, this would have ended months ago. But I. I'm thinking of you.
You're the reason I'm doing this. The world needs more good in it. The world needs to know about more good people just passed online.
I see inspirational post, I see inspirational quotes and I talk to the people. You know, I have a lot of their cell numbers talk in person and they're telling me some travesty that's going on in their life. And I want to make an impact. I'm making an impact. And if you're a good hearted person, maybe you'll be on a future episode. I can tell you I already have dozens and dozens ready to go.
So this may have been the smartest thing I've done, or it may have been the dumbest thing, but this is me. There's no tie this time. Truthfully, if it was up to me, this would have been filmed in a hot tub on the beach. I'd be in my sandals with shorts and shirt optional. But I dress down for this one. You'll notice the rest are not. But that's because I know there's someone that will watch this and listen to it and maybe, maybe, maybe they need that professional edge first. Maybe something happened in their life that they're closed minded a little bit and they don't give people the benefit of the doubt. That's awesome. I want to meet you where you are. Because if that's where you are, I can also bring it 150% for business and that's how we're probably going to meet. So whether you ever hear this or not, there's proof. But truthfully, I don't care if you're the biggest CEO.
Or you're like me and you had a dream and you've pursued business and you had no clue what you're doing and everyone told you it wasn't gonna work and everyone doubted you until you started speaking on stage and published a book. And then they stopped questioning so much.
But I still remember and I'm not putting them down. But I know it has more to do with the belief in themself even recently. And it's breaking my heart that there's some people who have encouraged for years and been around and you know, they're still nice and everything, but they see I'm stepping out and doing something bigger and I think it's made them uncomfortable and that's unfortunate because there's nothing I wanted more than the last two, three, four, five years than for them to be on stage.
And them to do a book. Because I know what it did for my life and if no one else saw me again, I really wouldn't care anymore. I know what I bring to the table and that's why I'm not afraid to eat alone and frequently do. But I also know the coolest people around the world who are making the biggest impact and making the world a better place. And as long as I'm still here and have this opportunity, I'm going to bring them to you and we're going to see where this goes. So as much as I'd like to go on, I think I'm going to end it here. Because.
This is the expert authority effect interviews and you are the expert authority effect.
It's all inside of you right now. And I'm going to prove it to you. It might take 10 episodes, it might take 20, it might take a hundred.
But you're worth it. You're here for a reason, and the world needs your message.
God bless you, God bless America, and God bless the world. We're all part of it, and it's smaller than ever now. Have a great day, and thanks for listening.
