Welcome Expert Authority world to a very special episode. It is Memorial Day 2020 and I, it has always been on my heart. I love the United States of America. God bless the United States of America. God gave us the foundation for the country, the vision to break apart and be our own independent nation. And it comes at a price. And today is no different than any other day in the sense of people are fighting and dying for our country. But today is a very special day because we're remembering those fallen heroes who made it possible.
It's fun to be with your family. It's fun to be here with your friends. It's nice to go on the boat, to go outside, you know, maybe you got a little bit of sun.
But let us not forget what it is truly about and who made it possible. Because I heard years ago it only takes a generation to lose it. And.
This is maybe the first time I'm ever going to break the evergreen rule. But.
I've told people when you're producing content, you don't want to timestamp stuff, you don't want to do evergreen, you don't want to timestamp or date it. But with what's going on right now with the coronavirus, the country, politics, all these different things.
This is a timely message that is probably, I hope to God I never see again in my lifetime. Because while I want the public health and I want everyone safe, I have family, friends, relatives, my mom, my aunts and uncles, I want them all safe, as I'm sure you do. And if grandma was still around and dad was still around, you bet I would want them safe. But there is a, there is a difference in how you go about that. And.
I personally think it's a little disgraceful that some of the things that are going on right now in the name of safety and then are being hypocritical and then going against it. And it's just like what we didn't get to this point and people didn't fight for the last hundreds and hundreds of years.
Just for it to be thrown away by people who.
Don'T disrespect it, realize it, and it doesn't need to be a politician that's disrespecting it. I'll say that too. There's plenty of people who think it's just a three day weekend or whatever the case may be. Just remember those who paid the ultimate price It's Memorial Day. We're honoring those who are fallen because there's a lot of them and there's movies, there's TV shows, there's different things of that nature. And it's kind of freaking scary.
You know, what if Hitler won? What if at any point in any of the wars there's a change of events? What if, what if, whatever, just pick something there. There's at least two or three dozen events I can think of that could have been a turning point. One for me was 9, 11. And whether you believe it or don't, I really don't want to go down that path right now. I'm not going to back down with what I have to say, clearly. But I just want you to realize it's not about anything other than the country. And I think people have lost sight of that. And if you've seen any of my episodes or even prior to the show, my videos that I put out, I mean, it's, I feel like I'm repeating myself. And whenever there's a big message like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, fourth of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, I always want to go into like a four hour episode and just share what's really on my heart. But personally, for me, I feel like I'm repeating myself because it's like I've been saying this for 20, 30 some years.
But I'm glad because it's anchored in, at my core that deeply and there's people who are hearing it for the first time, or maybe you've never heard it before, or whatever the case is, it needs to be repeated. So for anyone that has a message in a platform, I know how you feel, but keep repeating it because it only takes one person to realize, hey, maybe this is the right way, it's the wrong way, whatever. And especially a Memorial Day.
I, I, I'm.
The whole sale thing too, is a little.
As an entrepreneur, as a CEO, I don't think I've ever ran Memorial Day sales because it's like I just feel a little.
I guess if it was for a charity or a good cause, I might promote it, but I just feel like it's like you can do that kind of stuff any day of the year. Can we have five or ten freaking days where you just shut the heck up and stop trying to push your crap? Because it's like.
I'm really torn on this one because there's so many people that, you know, that I respect, that are well off, that are far beyond in business where I'm at. And I'M thinking of one. And it's like, be aggressive, stay aggressive. But I have a very much inner conflict with this. Because.
It'S not about that. We have that freedom 360 days a year. 3, 365.
But if we were to add up all the days where there's special holidays and occasions and things, it can't be more than 10 or 20. You know, the same thing with resting on Sundays or tithing 10%. It's like if you. And I've told people that for business, when I'm coaching them.
If you. If you need to be working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you're doing something wrong in the first six. And it's the same with this. When I see the papers and seek things and it's like, oh, special this weekend that. It's like, why not just put an ad that says thank you to all our fallen heroes? Because I couldn't run my mouth the other 360 days if it wasn't for you. How about, here's some free. Free stuff because, you know, it was overstocked and my last sale didn't work. So maybe I'm just gonna give it away this time because I actually have a heart instead of trying to make 10, 20 cents exit.
You can do what you want. And that's the great thing about the America. I've said this since high school. You have the freedom to be as wrong as you want. And maybe you think that's me right now, but that's great. Maybe I think it's you. You might think I'm crazy, but I might think you're lazy. So to the men and women who have fallen for us, who have built this country, because it wasn't me, I was born here. I had no choice in that. I grew up. You know what I mean? It's like the business I can take responsibility for because that I did build. But where I grew up, my family, my home, my skin color, my whatever.
I had nothing to do with it. I'm thankful to God that, you know, things worked out the way they did. But they've also been a hindrance in some. Some regards.
But it would not be possible without the men and women who made it possible. And for that I'm grateful. And regardless if there is a worldwide pandemic going on right now.
Or not, and I hope to God, and I've been praying daily for you and me and my family and yours and friends, I hope to God we never see this in another 100 200, 300 years. But what's even more treacherous.
While I do believe we may not see another. Whatever's going on, I mean, holy smokes. For another few hundred years, just like it's been 100 years. Which, you know what, my show, I'll say this. If you look at all the diseases that were going on, there's a giant gap from the 70s to 2002 with it where there was none. We can put a man on a moon but can't figure out how to solve this. Whatever.
There was a big gap where there was nothing going on. Just saying. And then in the last 10, 15 years, it was so. I truly believe it's possible that we will never see this again in another few hundred years. But what's a little bit more shaky is the way people see things that, you know, the country's been around 1776, 2020 to 2020, 220 some years, roughly.
Will the country be around in another 200 years?
I believe so. I believe God ordained it and things will happen and then they will change and that will be it. Because it says it in Revelation. But it's just freaky. When I was a kid, I didn't think about a lot of these things. And even in high school, it was like, this is good and bad, but this is. I'm just praying. That's all we can do.
Love conquers all. We can pray. And without the men and women who made it possible, we wouldn't even made it that far. So I say, let's keep fighting and see where it goes. But to the men and women, thank you.
Thank you, thank you. Let us celebrate them this Memorial Day and realize and never forget, that's what it's about. I'm not saying don't have fun. I'm not saying don't take time off.
But I never forgot it.
And, you know, so I have friends from all over the world, and one of them said to me a few years ago, they're like, it is so great here. And they are some of the most thankful and grateful people because they've seen the other side. A lot of us haven't.
I never woke up in my entire life wondering if a tank was going to be driving down the street or a missile get shot off and blow up my neighbor's house. And it, you know, it's 50, 50 for me if it hits mine.
We don't realize a lot of things, so don't lose your cool over if hamburgers are on sale or something. It's about the men and women who made this country fought for it. And it's the home of the free because of the brave and a lot of them paid the ultimate sacrifice.
So at the very least don't insult it because I know plenty of people.
And we would be glad to put you in your place.
And like I've said another fourth of July videos in the past, I you know, I hear China's open for residency, so if you don't like it, leave. God Bless you, God Bless America, and God bless the men and women and their families who paid the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day. Have a great day and God bless.
