Inspiration, Transformation, success stories, and the Imperfect Action Round seven days a week. Join Mario Ficcini for today's Expert Authority Effect interview. Merry Christmas, Expert Authority World. I am excited to share with you the true joy that Christmas really is, and that is Jesus. He was born today and he came to give us eternal life. And it is the greatest gift. And I'm so blessed to say I received it back in 2007 and I wanted to share it with you because Christmas, with all the gifts and the giving and all the rampantness and all these different things.
I feel like we've lost it. It's not as magical as when I was a kid, and even then it was still the consumer side of, well, how many gifts did you get? I remember coming back from school and it was like, well, what did you get? Well, I got. But bump, bump, bump. That means I'm a better kid than you. I'm a bet. And all it did was perpetrate this entitlement and superiority complex. And it's so completely wrong. Everyone loves new stuff. I mean, come on, it's fun. You don't want broken down stuff that's 100 years old unless it's like a family heirloom or something. I'm talking about, like, clothes and shoes and basic necessities. But when did it become about the watches and did I get a new car? There was this joke I saw, and it was like, it was kind of funny. I mean, it was kind of really funny. I mean, if you have the type of neighbors where it's like, keeping up with the Joneses or whatever it was. A man bought the bow. No, the man got a car for his wife for Christmas, and. And he said, you can keep the bow. The car's just a rental. I just wanted to annoy the neighbors. And that's funny. I mean, if you got any sense of humor. And even scripture talks about laughter is good for the bones. So if you're all, like, frumpy and, you know, bah, humbug and all that, you need to get out of that, because life is supposed to be filled with joy. And when you're filled with. When you're filled with Christ, you are filled with joy. And if you're not, it's the reason you're trying to do stuff on your own. And that was me, past tense. And now it's just so much better because I know I'm never alone. And despite who is with you. You know, you might love your parents, but they're not going to be around forever when I lost dad. It was heart wrenching. And it took me well over a year, year and a half, possibly two, maybe not even now.
I had no idea what to do. And I was like, what am I going to do with the next hundred years? I've always wanted to help people just like dad.
But I remember Pastor Doug talking about.
The view we have of God is the view from our parents, especially our Father. And if you had a good example, well, great. But if you didn't, that might be why you're struggling with it. And even if you had, so I know a ton of people.
And I was thinking about this even earlier today. What would I really want for someone? Well, number one, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, I want you to know Christ. And I'm not talking a religion or a. I don't want to name any of them, but not this, not that, not the other thing, a one on one relationship with Jesus. It's not a relation, it's not a religion, it's a relationship. And that is why he was born and that is why he died for us on the cross. So that way we could have eternal life and we don't have to die.
He already paid that price. And it's the greatest gift you could ever receive. And that is why we share gifts on Christmas. To share gifts with one another, to give them the joy. Well, what greater joy is that? I know how it's going to end. I've already won.
I don't have to go through massive turmoil in my life. And when things do come up, I already have a solution.
I mean, you're welcome to continue doing it on your own, but let me just ask you, how well has it worked so far? Only you know the answer. You don't need to tell me, you don't need a comment. You don't need to share it with anyone. I'm just being real. If you don't love everything about your life, I would ask yourself why. Maybe for you it's you want more money. Maybe you have all the money in the world, but you have no family. Maybe you have a great family, but you hate your friends. I don't know what it is. I'm not trying to figure it all out. I'm trying to figure out a lot of it for me and helping people with my talents, gifts and abilities. But what is it for you? Because you're the one who's important, no matter what your background is. God doesn't care about your past. He cares about your future.
The book I read says I am blessed, I am forgiven, I am redeemed. I don't really care what you did, and neither does he. It's pretty cool. What greater gift is there? Would you really trade it for a stupid iPad?
I'm shaking my head now. No. I don't even want an iPad. I would rather have Android, but it's not the point.
I'm adding some humor because I know if you're listening to this, if you're watching this.
I pray every day to use my talents, gifts and abilities and to add value and help others.
And part of that is humor. I don't know if it's for me or for you or whatever, but I am being completely serious when I say, look at all this stuff you had to go through.
And I could go on a sociology tangent, a psychology tangent, whatever. One of the biggest blessings I have ever since high school was being able to help people pretty easy and effortlessly. Just. I'm not even talking. When I started with the self help and business and making a career of it. I mean, just.
If you have the heart for it, you have the heart for it. If you, if you care and you listen, it's not that hard to do. But when you're so weighted down with everything that you're responsible for or you have the personality that you keep putting on yourself, why do you. Why do you think so many people say, I need a vacation, I need this, I need that. It's because you're not getting it the rest of the time. I'm so burnt out, I'm so this. It's a losing formula. It may have not completely crumbled, but you still can feel at your core that you're losing in some way, shape or form, not to the degree you want.
My God wants you to prosper and be blessed beyond measure.
Nowhere does it say, go through life in turmoil every single day, hating everything you do, making less than you deserve, and getting run over by people who don't respect you.
That doesn't sound good to anyone. But that's what society perpetrates. That's what the message is. If you buy this, you'll be a better person. It deals with your identity and it's why I started the show. To exponentially elevate the identity of humanity.
We're all told we're not good enough in some way, shape or form, whether it's directly or indirectly.
No one has to say you're not good enough. But when they do XYZ and abc, you end up feeling that way. Whether it's conscious or subconscious. And I'm going to keep this pointed. I would love to go on for all day and share this and have you go, oh my gosh. But the truth is we don't need all day because all of the secular, all the self help, it's interesting to me because as a believer, I read the self help and go, this is good stuff. As a man thinketh, so is he.
But scripture also talks about renew your mind daily. Almost everything I've ever read in self help I can find in scripture. And I say almost because some stuff I'm still looking for, but I know it's there because I'm learning myself. I'm not perfect, but it's like, this is in the Bible, this is in scripture. This is in the Bible, this is in scripture.
None. I, I'm not going to name anyone, but you don't really think that someone that was born in the 1880s, 1920s, 1960s or 1980s, they're the secret, right?
But they did refine the message and know how to present it better. And there is a key in there and that deals with the sales and marketing of anything. And I honestly, instead of getting mad at them, get inspired going. I've said this for years. When I have my show, I can say what I want. If you don't like the actors and actresses and politicians and this, that, the other thing, instead of getting mad at them that they're speaking what they want and they're doing it really effectively, that's why they have a following, how about you start your own, whether it's the show or a following. And now you can say what you want.
And I want to say, thank you, God, you're making this really easy for me. Because I gotta be honest, this was a little bit scary for me. I've never in my life done this publicly. It's always been one on one.
And this is actually pretty easy because it's been in me for 20, 30 some years.
I know you have a message and I know you want to help people, but if you can't help yourself, you're only slowing down the entire process. So I want to leave you with that. I invite you to know Jesus like I do. Just ask for him and say, jesus, come into my heart. I want to receive you. I'm tired of trying to do it on my own power. Just guide me.
Let me know what I need to do. I want to receive you. And if you say it with your mouth and feel, believe it in your heart.
You can receive him too. And I hope you do, because I don't want you to go through life alone. I'm going to encourage you and inspire, but there's only so much that I can do. And I'm not going to be here forever. But he will be. He is wherever you go.
And I'm glad he's with me, because there's no way I'd be here on my own if it wasn't for him. So with that.
Have the greatest gift you can this Christmas. Merry Christmas.
And I'll see you on tomorrow's episode. Have a great day and God bless.
