Mark Evans DM talks to a nine-figure entrepreneur who worries about a risk, then points out that the same trait causing the worry probably built their success. He uses Blockbuster versus Netflix to show why the right choice is rarely obvious, but argues doing nothing is always wrong.
I was talking with some guy who's worth a lot of money, 9 figures, and he's like, man, when's this ever going to change? Is this ever going to stop? I'm like, dude, if you didn't have the thing that you're worried about changing, you wouldn't be where you're at today. It's exactly the muscle that allowed you to get to the point. By the way, Blockbuster thought they were going to ruin their business by not— by buying Netflix. But guess what? Netflix won. Blockbuster loses. You know, so sometimes in business you just don't know what is the right choice or the wrong choice. But no choice is definitely the wrong choice.
