In this YouTube video, Alex, Jacqueline, and a host revisit the "Harry Potter Jelly Belly" challenge five years after the original episode. They use the newer Bean Boozled line, which pairs identical-looking jelly beans—one with a pleasant flavor and one with a disgusting one. The video opens with a brief explanation of the Bean Boozled concept and a display of the various flavor pairs, including skunk spray, vomit, toothpaste, earwax, black pepper, and others. The participants take turns selecting a bean, guessing which flavor they’ll get, and then tasting it, reacting with surprise, disgust, or relief. Throughout, the host provides commentary, offers water, and uses a trash can for the bad beans. The interactions are informal and humorous, with participants occasionally bragging about lucky draws or expressing bravery when choosing particularly nasty flavors. The video concludes with the participants deciding they are done after several rounds of tasting both good and bad beans, highlighting the playful, family‑friendly nature of the challenge.

OK, here we are, 5 years later after the original Harry Potter Jelly Belly Challenge. And Alex and Jacqueline want to do this again, so today we went out in search of the jelly beans. And it turns out that Jelly Bellies changed this now. They call it Bean Boozled, and now they basically create 2 jelly beans that look identical. One tastes good, one tastes bad. And they call it the Dare to Compare with a little caution sign here. So if you look at the different flavors, you can see there that they've got the good tasting one and the bad tasting one, and the bad tasting ones looks like they've stepped it up. They've got skunk spray, pencil sharpenings, rotten egg, toothpaste, earwax, ah, vomit, that's a classic, booger, Moldy cheese, baby wipes, and black pepper. Not that scary. So here are— you can see the big caution sign, which I can tell you from last time, these are some scary tasting jelly beans. So I'm gonna kick it off right now. Let's see, Jacqueline, you want to go ahead and do the honors of opening these? All right, let's go open it up, Alex. Let's get this party started.
Oh yeah. Wait, did you tell the good ones?
I can't believe you guys are brave enough to do this again.
Wait, Papi, you didn't tell the good ones.
Oh, we don't need to tell the good ones. That's not the fun part anyways. Okay, go ahead and pour these out, buddy. Pour them out. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Belly Belly Challenge.
I want to go first.
All right, you want to go first?
Yeah.
All right, buddy, which one are you going to go for?
I'm going for vomit.
How do you know which one's vomit?
Vomit's this one.
Alright, let's see.
Okay.
Okay, you gonna give it a shot?
Yeah.
Alright, let's see, buddy. Ahh!
That tasted bad.
That's bad, huh? And of course you see we do have the trash can, very essential piece of this process. How was it? No good? You want some water?
Oh boy.
Was it that bad? Oh, Alex doesn't look too good. Okay, Jacqueline.
It's okay, I have something. I'm smart.
Jacqueline's smart. She's got a backup drink. All right, Jacqueline, which one are you going to get?
I'm going to try to taste Berry Blue. It's toothpaste and Berry Blue.
Okay, she's going to go for it. What's the alternative? It's berry blue or toothpaste. Not that scary actually. I don't think toothpaste will be that scary. All right, let's go. Which one is it?
It's good.
Jacqueline got a good one.
Lucky.
She wins. Okay, Alex now has a backup drink. He's learned his lesson. I don't think he's gonna go for vomit again. No. All right, buddy, which one?
I'm gonna go for Peach. Oh no, no, no, that's the same with vomit, so no way.
Yeah, you gotta look for the alternative.
I'm gonna go for plum.
Okay, and what if it's bad?
If it's bad, it's black pepper, so not that bad.
Ah, that sounds like a chicken one, but go ahead.
It's black pepper. I still like it.
Okay, we have a winner. All right, Jacqueline, your turn. Let's try something a little racier this time, huh? Something a little scarier.
Oh, I'm doing a really scary one, okay?
Alright, let's see.
Skunk spray and licorice.
Ooh, that is super scary. Alright, let's see. Good luck to you on that one. Alright, let's go. And chew and chew and chew and—
Hahaha!
I take it you got the skunk spray.
Hahaha!
Wow, you didn't even have that thing in your mouth for 3 to 4 seconds.
I could totally taste it.
Really? What did it taste like?
I don't know, it just tasted horrible.
Really?
Special habit.
Okay, Alex, you gonna try one more?
That was spicy.
The black pepper was spicy?
Really bad, it hurts. What? Okay.
Oh, you're a big boy.
I'll go for caramel corn and the bad one is moldy cheese.
Oh, that's pretty brave too. Okay, let's see which one. Which one is it? You got it?
Yep.
All right, let's see this. Let's see this. Chew, chew, chew, chew.
Caramel corn.
Oh, you win. All right, Jacqueline, your turn. What are we gonna try now?
Let me see. Oh my God, I can't tell which one's baby wipes or coconut or earwax or coffee latte. Which one's baby wipes and coconut?
I don't know, give it a shot. Let's see.
Dark. That is light. So if that's dark, that's light. I want coconut. This is light? Mm-hmm.
Give it a shot.
I'm scared. It's not like getting baby wipes.
Oh, you're gonna be fine. Let's see, what is it?
Coconut!
Oh, you guys are getting too lucky. All right, Alex?
I'm gonna go for pencil shavings and tough banana.
That's probably not too scary. I can't see pencil shavings tasting that bad.
I could.
You could, huh?
Yeah, apple shaving is not that good.
Are you serious? That bad?
Oh boy.
Okay, Jacqueline, let's see. You haven't really gotten too unlucky. Oh, skunk spray though, I'll give you that.
Booger and juicy pear.
Booger or juicy pear? All right, let's see what do we got here. Give it a shot, give it a, give it a nice Give it a nice chew. Nice chew.
Give it a nice— Ah!
I take it you got the booger. Booger doesn't taste so good, huh? Not so good. Alright, are we done? You guys gonna try one more?
I'll do one more.
You're gonna do one more? Alright.
I'll do rotten egg or buttered popcorn.
Wow, that's pretty brave. Let's see.
I don't know which one it is, Jacqueline, help me.
Mmm.
I think it's this one. Yeah, yeah.
Let's see.
Okay.
Give it a good— give it a good chew.
Give it a good chew.
Oh man.
Okay, wait. I was gonna do one. What was that, Alex? It was rotten egg.
Rotten egg, huh?
Okay, I'll do one more. It'll be vomit or peach.
Vomit or peach? Really? You're gonna do that one too?
Yeah. Jacqueline, don't do it in front of you. Whatever, do it. I wanna see you do it. Ew, ew, ew, ew.
