Not every decision needs a meeting. Routine, reversible decisions should go to whoever has the expertise, not a group. Save meetings for high-risk or complex choices that actually need collective input.

Stop turning every decision into a team meeting. Some decisions absolutely need a group. High-risk choices, complicated problems, decisions that affect lots of people. But plenty don't. If the decision is routine, reversible, and somebody already has the expertise to make it, just let them make it. You can even ask them, how are you planning to handle this? Or, which way are you leaning? Now they're thinking instead of waiting for you to decide. Every time you drag a routine decision into a meeting, you slow the decision down and people don't learn how to make hard decisions for themselves. Save team decisions for problems that actually need a team.
