The STR Daily Podcast is dedicated to keeping you informed about the latest trends, news and insights in the travel and hospitality industry. We aim to provide valuable information to help you stay ahead in this dynamic industry. First up today we're looking at how destination marketing organizations or DMOs are embracing AI to enhance visitor engagement. First up today, Boutique corporation Public Company limited Has become one of only three third party operators for Accor in Thailand, reinforcing its reputation in full spectrum hotel management. The company currently owns and operates 10 hotels and service departments across Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chonburi, Pattaya and Phuket while also managing its own brands Journey Hub, Jono and Johno X. This new partnership with Accor highlights BC's track record in delivering successful hospitality projects in Thailand. Meanwhile, a new Amadeus study reveals that 64% of global travelers would be willing to pay for an AI assistant that provides in trip information, with 17% saying they'd spend up to 5% of their trip's value on it. While AI tools are increasingly popular for time savings, personalization and destination discovery, frustrations remain such as inaccurate data or lack of personalization. Amadeus leaders say this willingness to pay could reshape travel distribution economics, freeing AI assistance from ad driven models and allowing them to act more neutrally while also raising industry expectations for real time hyper personalized travel solutions.
