Welcome to the final episode of season four of the Boost Hospitality Podcast. In this season, what I wanted to do is provide the audio to some of my most popular blogs on the Boostly website. For those of you who haven't checked out before, go to www.boostly.co.ukblog and you can read over a hundred articles that I have written. It'll show you how to increase your direct bookings and cut down on those commission costs to those greedy OTAs. The final episode that I wanted to do in this series was to tell you about a hospitality owner who has drastically increased her direct bookings with the help of Boostly and what I do. So for those of you who've been listening to this regularly will know that I am the host of the Boost Hospitality Podcast. But I also run a business and I help hospitality owners increase their bookings. I show them new marketing tips and techniques that will just help their business find the short, the medium and the long term. And today I want to tell you about Emma, Emma and her husband Zed. They run the Riviera Guest House in Whitby. If you want to check out their website, it's www.rivierawitby.com and Riviera is R I V R I V E r I a whitby.com so I've known Emma and Zed for a few years now. Emma was one of the first people that attended one of my workshops in 2016 in Scarborough and we've kept in touch ever since. In September 2017 when I hosted, when I launched, Sorry, the Boost Hospitality training website, Emma was one of the first people to sign up as a tester. I've worked with well over 100 people over the course of the last two years of doing all of this and Emma has always been the one that has been fantastic at learning and doing her work ethic. Just the ability to get things done and to get things done well is is unbelievable and she was one of the people I reached out to test my training site. So if you want to go check out the training site it's www.boostlead.co.uk training. What it is is I created over 80 hours worth of content and it's broken down into short bite sized videos ranging from beginner advanced to expert and on there there is everything that you need to know from facebook to instagram booking.com how to get make that work for you and not the other way around. How to use emails, marketing, how to do Google Ads, how to do Facebook ads. What a website should look like who you should be using for your property management system and who you should be using for your booking engine for your website. Emma took the advice and the results were amazing. She learned how to trademark their business name, they learned how to bid on brand, they stopped Booking.com, expedia, Airbnb and other OTAs from appearing above them in the search ranking. And the result from the back of it was the direct bookings flew up. So much so that over the course of the last few years the direct bookings has just gradually increased and the OTA bookings has decreased. And it's all thanks to her work ethic and just be able to like say to get it done. So the blog today that I'm going to send you to is Emma's video, Emma's case study, Emma's testimonial about what it was like before discovering Bruce Lee and what has happened since then. I actively encourage you to go check out her Facebook page, which is Riviera Guest House Whitby. It has now grown to over 13,000 followers and one of the big reasons why is that she's used my how to run a Facebook competition formula, put it to practice and every single time we do this, it gets new likes, it gets new reach, it gets new inquiries, and it gets new direct bookings. If you want to find out more about how to run the perfect Facebook competition, I've got a very special season coming up very soon on this podcast. I'm going to break it down to five or six short episodes and every single day I'm going to come on live from the 24th of September to the 28th of September, and I'll show you exactly what you need to do to not only run a Facebook competition, but how to make sure that over the course of the four to five days that you run it for, it works as smooth as possible and you get in constant engagement, you're getting constant reach and on the back of it, how to get not only inquiries, but direct bookings. If you're watching this in the future and you would still like to take part, still go to that address, still put in your details and what I'll be able to do is send you a recording of everything we did, which include tutorials, step by step videos and how you can find out more about the Boost hospitality training site.
