Make sure you subscribe so you never miss an episode in today's episode first up, Thailand's White Lotus Tourism Boom the global phenomenon that is the White Lotus is back. And this time it's Thailand's turn to shine. With season three of the hit HBO series premiering on February 16, the tourism industry is already bracing for a major influx of visitors. Filmed across Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Samui, the show is expected to showcase Thailand's stunning landscapes and luxury accommodations, just as it did for Hawaii and and Sicily in previous seasons. We've seen this effect before. When season two was set in Sicily, web searches for the region spiked by over 50%, and the Four Seasons San Domenico palace, where much of the season was filmed, saw a surge in bookings. Thailand's tourism officials and luxury hotels are anticipating the same trend, with properties like the Four Seasons Resort, Koh Samui and Anantara Mai Kau Vilas in Phuket already reporting an increase in inquiries. Luxury travel brands aren't the only ones looking to capitalize on the buzz. The Tourism Authority of Thailand is rolling out packages designed to let travelers live the White Lotus Experience, complete with visits to filming locations, curated dining experiences and activities inspired by the show. This follows a growing trend of travelers seeking immersive experiences tied to their favorite films and TV shows. With tour bookings in Koh Samui alone already up by 30% compared to last year, the Thai government is also making it easier for visitors to stay longer. With new visa policies allowing up to 60 day stays for travelers and from 93 countries including the US and for those looking to settle in for a while, Thailand's new five year destination Thailand Visa is targeting digital nomads and long term visitors. With Thailand aiming to welcome over 36 million visitors in 2025, the White Lotus might just be the golden ticket to boosting the country's tourism numbers, particularly from North America, where the majority of the show's viewership is based. Up next Booking.com's Super bowl marketing blitz now let's talk about how Booking.com is making a splash in the biggest advertising event of the year, the Super Bowl. The travel giant is returning for its fourth consecutive super bowl campaign, this time featuring a playful ad with the Muppets emphasizing the ease of booking stays that match travelers exact needs. The ad will air in the fourth quarter of the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, marking a major investment in primetime marketing. But that's not all. Booking.com is also launching an exclusive promotion inspired by Airbnb's celebrity driven icons campaign. They've created a once in a lifetime opportunity for one lucky traveler and their plus one to book a road trip experience in the legendary Madden Cruiser. Yes, the custom bus once used by legendary NFL coach and commentator John Madden. The trip, priced at just $19.87 to commemorate the year the first Madden Cruiser was commissioned, includes private meet and greets with NFL star Terrell Owens and media personality Roxy Diaz. This campaign highlights the growing trend of travel brands leveraging major cultural events and celebrity tie ins to drive engagement. By capitalizing on the excitement around the Super Bowl, Booking.com is positioning itself as the go to platform for hassle free travel bookings, reinforcing its signature booking.
