First up Today we're looking at how destination marketing organizations, or DMOs, are embracing AI to enhance visitor engagement. First up, the travel and tourism sector saw a noticeable 8% decline in deal activity during the first half of 2025, marking a shift in market dynamics and investor sentiment. According to Global Data's analysis, venture financing and private equity deals saw year on year declines of approximately 25% and 20% respectively, while M and A activity exhibited a slight contraction of 3.5%. The Asia Pacific region stood out with an 11% increase in deal volume driven by countries like Japan and India. Meanwhile, Europe, North America and the Middle east experienced significant drops in deal activity. Hotel transactions included the acquisition of the Westin Cincinnati and the potential sale of Signia by Hilton San Jose, alongside major renovations and new openings including the luxurious Sun Rose West Hollywood. Meanwhile, Price Labs has introduced a new feature called Dynamic Min Stay, designed to help property managers optimize minimum stay rules based on real time demand trends and booking patterns. This tool adjusts the length of stay requirements, automatically filling gaps with short bookings while prioritizing longer stays during peak periods. Properties using Dynamic Minstay saw better occupancy and increased revenue compared to those relying on fixed stay rules. The tool is aimed at professional property managers, providing the flexibility to apply settings to individual properties or entire portfolios with a transparent interface allowing for manual adjustments as needed. This feature aims to streamline operations and increase efficiency and improve the overall guest experience. Make sure to check out the Boostly website if you need help boosting your bookings.
