Today's session, we're looking at how to build a lead generation system from scratch using Chat, GPT and some other tools as well. I'm going to show you some of the tools that we use in our business. Of course, there are lots of tools available for doing this kind of thing, but I'm going to show you, I'm going to do a live demonstration of me building those pages and putting them together using what ChatGPT has created for us. So that's what we're going to do today. First of all, I just want to start out by explaining a little bit for those of you that don't know what a lead generation system is and why it's so crucial to have one in your business. So first of all, something that we know to be true is the size of your list is directly proportional to the size of your income. So lead generation is about collecting contact details and growing a list of people, people that you can reach out to, people who are potential leads who might become clients for yours later on in your connection with them, in your relationship with them. So having a list is a really crucial thing to be doing consistently throughout your business. It's really important.
Because the size, like we said, the size of your list is directly proportional to the size of your income. So if you have a list of 100 people and you have something that you want to promote, whether that's your services or you want to let people know they can book an appointment or may you're doing a speaking event somewhere or something like that, and you want some engagement, you want people to come and watch you. If you have a list of 100 people and you have a conversion rate of about 10%, then you're going to get 10 people engaging with that, whether that's book an appointment or come and watch you speak or whatever it might be, if you can grow that list to a thousand and you still have that 10% conversion rate, then you're now going to have a hundred people engaging with that. So that might be 100 people booking appointments, or 100 people coming to watch you speak, or 100 people interested in your service, whatever it is that you're pushing in your emails. So growing that list is really, really important. It's also important because we know that some people don't buy straight away as soon as they come across you. So maybe they land on your website and they kind of have a look around, it's very interesting, but they don't make the decision to buy there. And then it's a relationship industry that we work in. And generally when you're working with people, it can be annual contracts. So it's a long time that they want to work you, so they want to be sure that they're getting that decision right. It's not necessarily a decision decision that they make lightly or quickly. So getting those contact details allows you to continue to build that relationship after the fact. So maybe they land on your website, they fill in a form and you can now continue to grow that relationship, build your reputation, show them that you have authority and expertise in the areas that you can help them and demonstrate the value that you can provide throughout your email contact with them. Now, it's really important to have a system that can do this for you automatically in the background, consistently, and it's always happening. What some people try to do is if they imagine having a tap, they get to a point in their business where they think, I need more clients now or I'm ready for new clients and they want to just be able to turn a tap on and this stream of clients come into the business and, and then they think, right, I've got enough now, I'm going to turn the tap off. And that's not necessarily the best way to approach things. And it doesn't always work because you can't get that consistency. So what we want to have instead is a tap that is constantly dripping. So we always have a little bit of something coming in in the background that you don't have to manage. You just set this system up. So this is what we're going to talk about, the lead generation system. You set this up and it automatically runs in the background without you having to do anything. You don't have to manage it, it's automatic and it's always there, it' always happening. So there's lots of different elements to this, but once you set this up, essentially it just runs and you can forget about it and you will have a growing list so that when you then come to want clients, you can reach out to that list and you have a good amount of people to reach out to when it comes to the point that you're ready to take on new clients. So we're looking at having that constant drip rather than just turning the tap on and off. We always want to have that drip. So it's really important as well what we're talking about today with capturing people's contact details, we're trying to capture mainly their email address. And this is important because social media is a really powerful tool, but it can Be it can work against you sometimes because of various things that are in place. Maybe the site goes down and you have no control over that. Maybe the algorithms work against you because somebody decides actually we're going to change the algorithms, that this thing works rather than this thing. Actually this thing is now going to perform better than this thing. So it's constantly in flux. Maybe somebody lands on their timeline and they don't scroll far enough to actually see what you've posted. You know, there are lots of things that work against you and it's a really powerful tool and you can get really great traction with it and it works really well. But email is a lot more direct. We can know for sure that if we send that email it's going to land in somebody's inbox. Now, of course there are things like spam filters and stuff that maybe would work against you, but there's a lot less friction in that area. Email is a much more sure fire way of getting in front of somebody and putting that information in front of them. So we want to be making sure that we are grabbing people's name and email address. Essentially that's what we're doing. So with a link lead generation system, what is that? How do we get those contact details? What we do is we give a valuable piece of content away in exchange for it for free. So we give that valuable piece of content away for free, but it's in exchange for somebody's name and email address. So that content might be, it might be an ebook, it might be a webinar that you've done. If you've got a podcast episode, maybe it's a checklist, maybe it's a spreadsheet that you've got that's really helpful. Maybe it's, you know, any of the above, a workbook, something like that. It could be any of these things.
That is something that you give away for free. But somebody has to put their name and email address in order to get that thing. So there is still a transaction happening. So the valuable piece of content is the value of that content needs to exceed their letting go of that personal data, if you like. So they need to think that the piece of content is worthwhile giving their email address for. So it needs to be good content and it needs to be something that addresses a pain point that they have or helps them solve a problem or overcome a challenge, or perhaps it gives them a quick win or a great result, something really quick and easy result that they can get. So that's what the content is doing. And in order to do that, you need to know who your ideal client is and what they struggle with, what things they want to achieve. You need to know these kind of things about your clients so that the content that you make can suit them and attract them. So with this lead generation system, what we're attracting is our ideal clients. So not just anybody who lives and breathes, we're being really specific. And the content that we're creating will speak directly to the ideal clients that you want in your business and they will be interested in that and they will be the people that put their name and email in. So when you then come to email your list, you know that it's a list full of people who are interested in that subject material. So if you do an ebook that is 10 tax saving strategies for the Dental industry, anybody that downloads that, you know that they are likely to be in the dental industry and interested in saving tax. So when you then come to present your tax saving service, you, you know that it's going to an audience that is more receptive and more likely to be interested in that. So we're kind of doing, we're growing our list, but we're growing our list full of people who are appropriate for the services that you provide and the kind of people that you want to work with.
So that's what it does, that's how it works. What does it look like? Now, there's a couple of different elements. First of all, there's going to be a landing page where somebody, and this is sometimes called a lead page, a landing page, a squeeze page, they've got lots of different names. Essentially it's just a page on the Internet that has information just about that piece of content. So there's no menu bar that takes them to your website or there's no social media links at the end. It's just solely, the only purpose is to talk to you about the ebook and grab your contact details. So there'll be that landing page. There will then be an opt in form where they can put their name and email address in and they click the button and that allows them to then download the piece of content that they've been that they've been promised. They'll then be sent an email because they're now in your list. So you can now email them. They'll be sent an email and this all happens automatically. They'll be sent an email that says, you know, well done or thank you. Here's that piece of content, just making sure you've got it and you deliver that content and then at the same time, once they click the button, they will land on a second page. That is what's called a thank you page, which just says thank you for downloading it. There might be another link to download that content and you can then go ahead and mention other things that you might like them to do. So this is a call to action. What other actions might you like them to take now that you've secured their contact details? So on that first page the only purpose is getting their contact details because you want to be sure that you've got that. Once you then have that, you can then persuade them or, you know, encourage them to go and do other actions. Whether that might be you might like to follow me on social media or you might like to book an appointment or you might like to download these other resources that I've got for you. Okay, so you can put that information on your thank you page. So those are the pages that we're going to create today. I'm going to just quickly show you just an example of what that might look like. So, so that you've got a bit of a visual. So this is one of ours. And whilst I'm here as well, actually what I'm going to do is.
I've just copied my page over. What I'm going to do is I'm going to pop into the chat box a link for this ebook. So you can go and grab the ebook if you like, just to see how this system works. You know, enter yourself into the system and then receive the emails, see what the emails look like, look at the one landing pages, get some inspiration. So you can go ahead and grab that, learn a little bit about ChatGPT from the ebook if you like and then also see what this system looks like. So this is the, the first page and this is, we've got a nice title that calls out our ideal clients, our ideal client, accountants and bookkeepers. We have some text here on the left that just describes the benefits of the piece of content that they're getting. We've got an image of the piece of content that they're getting as well. And that's it. So that's the entire page. It's very simple. It's got that one purpose of just getting their contact details. So there's a big button here that says grab your guide now. Now if I click that, we get a popup which is now the opt in form. So this is the opt in form. They can now put their name and email address and by the Way I've done this as a popup and there's a lot of schools of thought of different ways of approaching this. You might just have the form directly on that first page rather than clicking a button and opening it up. But there's lots of reasons why this is actually a better way of doing it, which we can't. We don't have time to go into detail, but this is why we've done that. So we have this pop up. They now put their name and email in and they hit that big orange button to transform your firm and off they go to grab the piece of content. They will now land on the next page, which is a thank you page. And they will send this says thank you. We will send a copy of that guide to your inbox and you can also download it here. And there's a big button for them to download that. And then if we scroll a little bit further down the page, we have some other calls to action. So you might like to join our AI and Chat GPT Facebook group. You might like to go and purchase one of our chat GPC mini courses. You might like to join our academy. So we have lots of extra things that they can do because we now know that they're interested in ChatGPT and that's how that works. Okay. So that's kind of a visual of what it would look like. What we're going to do now is we're going to go into Chat GBT and we're gonna. What I have pill is I've built a GPT that will take us through the process of creating the wording for each of those elements. So we're going to create the wording for the landing page, for the opt in form, for the confirmation email and for the thank you page. So we're going to create all of the wording for that. Now I've created a a GPT, a custom GPT that does that for you. I will share this with you. I just need to finalize it so it will be in the description afterwards. You can get access to it once it's ready. But let's just go through and see how this works. You can also do this with prompts. If you've got good prompt engineering skills. Of course you can write prompts to individually do each element. But I've just made this GBT that does it in a nice simple way. So I'm going to open a new one so that we can go through it live together.
It's this one here.
And you can see the the input that I have to actually do is very minimal. So first of all, I'm going to hit this button that says let's get started. It's going to ask me for a lot of information in the first prompt and then that, and then after that it's very straightforward. Everything I have to do. Essentially, whenever we create copy, which is just wording, any wording that is marketing related in your business is called copy. Whenever we create copy, we need to start by knowing who our ideal client profile is. So when you know who your target audience is, you can tailor the wording that you create to speak more directly to that person.
So if you like to work with restaurant owners.
And a restaurant owner is visiting a bunch of websites, if they land on a website that says, we can deal with your bookkeeping and sort it all out for you, so you have a stress free life that's really good talking about benefits and stuff. But it's not very specific to me as a restaurant owner. It's not very specific to my particular needs. If I then instead land on a website or landing page that says we like to work with restaurant owners to help you get the best for your business, grow and minimize tax, whatever it is, if you specifically call out your target audience and speak to a benefit of theirs that you provide. So it could be using that example again. We like to work with restaurant owners to help grow their business and thrive, something like that. If I'm a restaurant owner and I land on that website, I now feel like that is much more appropriate for me because it's specific to my situation, it's specific to the problems I have, the criteria that my business is going to go through, all of that information about the various different tax implications and all of that sort of stuff. Somebody who on their website says we work specifically with restaurants, I want to work with that person much more than the general bookkeeper because they're going to have specific knowledge that helps me in my particular scenario and my setup and my business. So I want to work with that person because they're the expert and they have the specific knowledge. So that's why we start with the ideal client profile. We want to know everything about them, what their pain points are, what they're looking to achieve with their business, what are their aspirations and their goals, what challenges do they have. Also other criteria like where are they based, are they online, is it a location.
What kind of size team do they have, what kind of revenue are they bringing in, what's their general attitude, do they want to grow the business or just kind of move away and delegate more work. All of these kind of criteria can really help us to define what wording we put on our page and also what piece of content we create for them, as well as that freebie that we give away.
So we're asking for the idle client profile first of all, it's then going to ask us for the lead magnet. So this GPT that I've created works on the basis that you already have these things ready. Now, in previous sessions we have shown you how to create an ideal client profile using chat GPT so you can go back, you can find those episodes, you can work out how to make an ideal client profile. And then what you can do is save that profile and have it on a document or in your notes or something so that you can always just grab it and input it. Whenever we do anything Marketing related with ChatGPT, we've always got it there, accessible and easy to use. This also works on the principle that you already have your lead magnet created. So what we're going to do now, well, what I'm going to do is I'm just going to give it an example, but what you could do is if you already have your lead magnet, you, you can add it at this stage, on the bottom of the screen where the text box is, there's a little paperclip. Click paperclip icon and you can click that and you can attach a file. So you can attach your ideal client profile and your lead magnet. ChatGPT is then going to read that content. It's going to understand who your client is and it's going to understand what your lead magnet is talking about, what's in the, what the content of it is and what the key benefits and takeaways are. Because that's what you're going to use to promote it on your landing page. And then thirdly, it's going to ask for what your further calls to action are that you're going to put on your thank you page. So on your thank you page, on the example we showed, you might want them to follow you. On social media, if you have a specific Facebook or group or community, something like that, you might want them to join the community. It might be book an appointment, sign up for a webinar that you're doing, whatever it might be, those extra call to actions, it just wants to know what are those things going to be so that we can incorporate that onto your thank you page. So this is the first thing that we're going to do Now I already have prepared.
My prompt, so let me just grab that.
Really quickly and copy and paste that into here.
So in my prompt here I already have a series of different ideal client profiles that I use for demonstration purposes. So I have one pre prepared that is around Digital Nomad businesses. So first of all I put, number one, I've answered that question. I'm a digital nomad running, running a completely digital business such as content creation, online tutoring or consulting with a revenue of 100 to $500,000. And we've got a full profile here. I'm not going to go through all of it, but they use QuickBooks. We're tech savvy, I value innovation and efficiency. My financial situation is stable and I want to streamline operations. I'm looking for bookkeeping, tax planning, business advisory and various different things. I need a long term partnership. I'm willing to invest in these services and so on and so forth. So I've got a nice profile there that is that specific. That's what we're looking for.
So it now understands that ChatGPT has that information and it can incorporate that into the wording that it creates for your website.
So number two, sorry I didn't space this out, but number two starts here. So we now have. What I've done is because I don't, I don't have a specific ebook to hand that is related to the Digital Nomad area. So what I did is I just gave it a suggestion of what that lead magnet might be. Now if you've already got your lead magnet, you can just add that as a document or copy and paste the wording and put that into your prompt and give it the information. But what I've just done is I've said that the ebook is going to be called the Ultimate Guide to International Tax Compliance for Digital Nomads. The main benefits and takeaways are going to be a comprehensive overview of international tax laws and how they impact digital businesses, tips on staying compliant while operating in multiple countries, and case studies of successful digital nomads and their tax strategies. So I've just given it the title and a couple of the key benefits so that it can incorporate that into the wording. And then the third point, number three was what are your following.
Extra calls to action on the thank you page? So I've just said I want it to follow me on social media and then book a meeting. I want to have those two different call to actions on there. So straight away it's gone and created the copy for that page. Now it's broken it into a couple of different sections. First of all we have the headline and when we go into the software to build this, in a couple of minutes you're going to see how this lays out on the page. And also as we saw in the example earlier, we have a headline, we have a subhead, we have copy on the left hand side here and then we have the button copy as well. So if I just go back to ChatGPT, we have the headline Unlock International Tax Compliance A Guide for Digital Nomads to Stay Compliant and Thrive Globally. So what it's doing there is it's calling out my ideal client, which is Digital Nomads. That is there in the title Digital Nomads. And it's also speaking to a bonus or a benefit that they're going to get which is staying compliant and thriving. Okay, so we're understanding tax compliance and we're going to be stay compliant and we're going to thrive. So the subhead is then going to just go into a little bit more detail on what that benefit is. So what we're going to do is we're going to master international tax laws, streamline your finances and ensure compliance while growing your digital business. So that's just a little bit expanding on the title of what the benefits will be for you if you are a digital nomad and you grab this ebook, we now have the main copy. So let's go through what this says. We've got a question. First of all, it says, are you a digital nomad? Navigating the complex world of international tax regulations with your business operating across multiple countries, staying compliant can be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. Download your free guide today. So that's really good copy. I really like that copy. I am a marketer, I'm a copywriter and I look at that and I think that's pretty good copy. So you could, you can take that as is, you could go away, you could edit it yourself, you could rewrite, write another prompt that says, actually, can we change this bit here? Can you give me 10 options for the headline so that I can pick a better headline? You can go back and forth with it here if you want. I'm pretty happy with that the way that it is. So I'm just going to move on to the next step, which is creating the opt in form. So it asks me here at the end of this process. This is using the GPT. It's going through the process with me. What it's going to do is say, are you satisfied or do you want to move on? All I have to do is say I'm ready.
And it's going to move on to the next step. The next step is it's crafting the opt in form copy and it's done. So within two seconds. We now have the form, the form copy. We have a title, get your free guide to international tax compliance. We have that subhead, Learn essential tax strategies and stay compliant while growing your digital business. We have the opt in field here, which is just name and email. And I, I want to make a point here. The less information you ask for, the better because if you ask for more and more things, you're adding more friction, you're adding more complication to, to that transaction because it is a transaction, it's free. But they're getting the piece of content, you're getting the details. So you need to make sure that you're not asking for information that you don't need. You know, if you don't need their phone number, don't ask for it. If you don't need their home address, don't ask for it because it's just an extra piece of friction. All you really need is their name and their email address, maybe even just their email address. So, but we like to use the name so that we can personalize the emails as well. So name and email address is the basic ones to go for. Then you've got your button here as well and then it says, are you ready to move on? And I'm happy with all of that text. So I'm going to say, yes, I'm ready.
So now we're going to go and make the thank you page copy, off it goes. So we have the confirmation message at the top, which is just saying, thank you, your guide's on its way.
A little reminder of what's going to happen next. So it's just saying we're sending the copy of that guide to your inbox, but you can also download it on this page. And then the button, it just says download. Now that's really simple, straightforward. And sometimes those simple buttons at this stage is really helpful because you don't want it to say something that makes it not clear. You want it to be a really clear process. And then we have the additional calls to action here. So it says follow us on social media to stay updated with the latest tips and strategies and book a meeting with us to discuss how we can help you streamline your operation. Now that's really simple. And if you want to add more information because you have, let's say you have a specific Facebook group and you want to say, join this group. We've got loads of different accounting professionals in there with lots of different businesses. This is what your benefit, you can expand on that if you want to. But this is just created something really simple to start you off with. So this is just the basics. So we've got the thank you page and then finally we want the confirmation email. So I'm just going to hit ready again. And now we are drafting the confirmation email. So we have a subject line. Now, I want to make a point to say that subject lines are really important to get people to open your emails. However, with this particular email, somebody has just signed up to get something, so they are very likely to go and open the email because they know they're going to get that goodie in there. So the subject line for this particular email, we don't need to spend too much time agonizing over that. You just want to make it clear what they're getting inside it. So it says, your ultimate guide to international tax compliance is here. And so they've just signed up, they'll see that email land and they'll think, okay, that's my ebook. I'm going to go and grab that. I'll click the email, I'll go and grab it. So that's really simple. And then we've got the copy that just says, hey, first name. It says here. So if you got their name in the form earlier, you can personalize this email and put their name in there as well. Congratulations on taking a crucial step towards mastering international tax compliance. You can download your guide below. And there's a button to download now. Then there's just a reminder of what's inside. So it's a reminder of those bullet points that were on the page. We've got the comprehensive overview, the compliance tips and the case studies. We hope this guide provides you with valuable insight and helps you navigate the complexities of international tax compliance. Your journey to streamline operation and business growth starts now. It's also then put in here, stay connected by following us on social media and book a meeting. Now I personally, I might have put those things in the PS rather than in the email because first of all we want them to go and consume that content. And then also the PS is actually one of the most most commonly read things after the subject line. So people read the subject line, then often they open the email and a lot of people just skip straight to the ps. So putting important things in the PS is a really powerful little technique but it's great as is. You know, this is a great starting point to get our system set up. Once we've got this in place and set up, we can go back, we can change the wording, we can optimize things, we can try and tweak things and test different things, you know, but this is a great starting point just to make sure you've got something where you can be, where you can start to collect that, those contact details.
So there we go. I've got everything. I've now got my landing page, my opt in form, my thank you page and my confirmation email. So the next thing you might want to do is if you don't already have a tool that you know that you can build this with, you might want to do a little bit of research using Chat GPT now. So and I'm just going to go to this one that I did previously and first of all I'm asking it, can you give me a list of the top 10 lead page builder tools? Now the ones I'm going to show you today, I'm going to show you kajabi because that's what we use in the business. But kajabi for us, we use it for lots of different things including where we host all of our video content for our training program. We also use it for building lead pages, we also use it for email communication. So it does a lot of different things. So I'm not going to sit here and recommend that to you because it's really going to be specific to your business and what you're after. What I will point out is that there are tools that do holistically do, they'll build your page and they'll send your emails for you and they'll do that all in one place, which can be really convenient and helpful if this is something that doesn't come naturally to you because all that process is going to be in one area. But sometimes what you'll find is that when a tool does multiple different things, it's not quite as good as each at each thing. So if you want a really good mailing system and a really good lead page builder, you might want two different tools and then get something like Zapier to help them speak to each other so that they can build that automation. There'll be a couple of extra steps in the setup because you'll have to make sure that the tool tools talk to each other. Whereas if you had all in one tool, it would probably all just do it within the one system so you wouldn't have to set up as much. But you might get a better design feature, you might get a better way of optimizing your emails than the other one, you know. So it's worth looking at different tools and seeing what works best for you and your particular circumstances and how confident you are with, you know, using these tools and your budget as well and various things like that. So the options that it's come up with for me here, it's gone and it's looked on the Internet and it's researched the best top 10 lead page builders right now as of 2024. And the first one it's come up with Unbounce. We've got lead pages, we've got instapage, which is the one we use. We have get response, ConvertKit, Elementor, Mailchimp, Wix, Swipe Pages and HubSpot. And it's given me a little bit of the what it's best for its key features and the pricing for each of those areas. And then it also has given me the link to, to what it's where it's got that information from. So it's given me a link to the page that it's gone to do its research. So I can go and click on that and just double check things or go and do my own research further from that. But it's a good starting point that I can now go and look into that. So I've been asked which ones of those have the CRM system built in. So CRM is customer relations management tool. So this is your email system, this is how you contact your customers.
So which one of those tools that you've just told me that are lead page builders also have the ability to send emails. We have Mailchimp, Get Response, HubSpot and ConvertKit. So if you're looking for ones that have it all in there together, then you might like to look into using one of those.
You can use that and then go and do your own research. Further off the back of that, if you already have your own tools, then maybe you ask ChatGPT. So let's say you already have Mailchimp but you don't have a lead page builder or you don't like the lead page builder that's in mailchimp. What you could do is you can go and type in and say what lead page tools work well with mailchimp and you can get it to do that kind of research as well. And you can always use something like Zapier that works to connect those as well.
So now that we have that information, what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you how to build a funnel really quickly in Kajabi. So we use Kajabi for a lot of our stuff. Now for our lead page systems, for the one I showed you earlier, we actually use a combination of instapage and mailchimp because we like the features on both of those. But Kajabi also has this feature and it's a all in one feature, which means it has this great ability to show you the system that it's building all laid out nice and neatly. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to create a new funnel. And by the way, a funnel it just refers to if you imagine a funnel shape, when we attract lots and lots of people, we're coming into the kind of top thick, open end of the funnel and that's the larger area. We're bringing in lots and lots of people. And then as it narrows down, that's where we're getting more conversions and more specific and people who are more appropriate to our business. So a lot of times in marketing a system like this is called a funnel. So we call it the lead generation system. You could also be referred to as a funnel. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to start a new funnel and this is Kajabi. But basically any kind of one that you use, if you're using something like click funnels, if you're using one of the other ones that came up there, leadpage, unbounce, they're gonna have something in here that is pre built. So that you can just use the template. Most of them are gonna have that feature. They'll have a pre built page, so it's nicely designed already for you. And they'll have a pre built system and structure so that the pages are all in line and they all follow the right steps and they send the email at this point and they, they click this thing and it takes them to that page. It's already all preset in there. So I'm gonna go start with this freebie one which says generate leads and give your community valuable content with a free lead magnet. That's exactly what we're looking at today. So if I'm going to click get started, I'm just going to name that test and then here it wants me to upload the file. So if I just bring my face off of that so that you can't see my documents, I'm just going to add a random PDF. So that's uploading there. Now I've added a random PDF and that just means that when people fill in the form, that is the document that they will receive.
So let's wait for it to load and what it's going to show you is kind of, kind of like a timeline, if you will. So we've got, first of all we've got the opt in page. This is what they're going to land on first and then the next step they'll go to is they will receive the email. So on this one the opt in form is built into that first page, which we call a landing page. The second step here is they'll get the email sequence which will just be one confirmation email. But of course once they've got that first email, you can then build on that and send them 2, 3, 4, 5 emails if you want to, and expand on that. And then finally we have the thank you page. So there's already a little bit of design on here. It's very basic.
But what I'm going to do is I'm just going to really quickly show you how easy this is to to do. So this is kajabi and the design feature on this isn't the best, which is why we use Instapage instead. But a lot of the tools that you'll use will have a click and drag feature. So you'll just click what you want to add to it and drag it onto the page where you want it and you can just manipulate and move wherever you want. So the first thing I need here is I'm going to add a, I'm Going to add a title. So I'm just going to click on this section and add content and add a text box and it added that text box on the bottom there. Just going to make that a little bit bigger. And then what I'm going to do is go back to ChatGPT to the.
Conversation that we've just had with it and I'm going to copy. Let me find the lead page. So here's the lead page headline. I'm just going to highlight that, copy it.
Head back to my Kajabi page and I'm just going to paste it in here. I'm going to just highlight all of that and personally I like them to be center aligned and I'll just make it nice and big and maybe I'll make it orange just so that it stands out. I'm going to save that and we're going to just drag that up to the top.
So now I've got my headline. Now I'm going to go back to ChatGPT, I'm going to grab the subhead and I'm going to copy that.
See it's such a quick process but if you were doing, if you had to write everything as well then it would take you much longer. So I can just paste that in there and again I'm just going to align that and I'm going to make it a little bit bigger and I want that one to be white.
So now we've got a headline and a subhead. I'm going to go back, I'm going to grab the body copy. Now.
I'm going to copy that and paste that into this box here on the left.
That's really simple. I now have this opt in form. Now you might want to play around with that because you see that that's quite large. So maybe you add an image in here or you move the form, make the form bigger. Whatever it is you want to do, play around with the text so that it's a little bit shorter. You can play around with that. But I just want to show you how quick this is to do. So now we're going to do the opt in form. So we have the title here.
And I'm going to go and paste that in here.
I'm going to go back to ChatGPT and grab these subtitle.
And then I'm going to add that to my form just below the title. I've got the first name and the email. Now what happens is you will have to set this form up so that it connects to your Email system. So generally very simple. I just go to the form and I add the code for my email system, which is in Mailchimp. You can ask ChatGPT for instructions on how to do this for your particular tools that you're using. So if you're using, let's say for example, you're using instapage and mailchimp, which is what we use, you can say how do I connect my mailchimp to my instapage? Give me a step by step guide and it will give you a step by step. It'll say click this button here, grab this thing here, use Zapier. It might say things like that. So if you're struggling you can go to ChatGPT and ask for help with those sorts of things as well.
Then finally I think I just have the button text for my form. So I'm going to go and pop that in there, which is button here.
And I can change the color of that to whatever the color of my business is. And then I might add a little image there just to make that look nicer. But now I have a landing page and that's taken me all of five minutes and I have my landing page. Now the next step. So let me just hit save there. The next step along the left I can see what the next step in the process is and that's going to be the email sequence. So I'm going to click on that. You can see that the trigger for this is when somebody completes that form. So my form is just called test form because I just started a random new one. When somebody submits that form they will be sent this email. That's what the trigger is. So I can click into. And also by the way, what I can do is I can add an automation. This is on Kajabi. You know, various different ones might have slightly different, different tools. But I can then say that when they are added to this funnel, when they're added to this list, when they, when they do this, I can do different things. So when they, when they are sent that first email, I can then subscribe them to a different email sequence. I can give them a tag. You know, I can do various different things. So that might be something you want to do as well. Just to help you organize your different lists if you have multiple different lead generation systems. So I'm going to click into this and then I'm going to head to ChatGPT and I'm going to copy that email text that I was given. So first of all I need the subject line.
And I'm going to go back to Kajabi and I'm going to paste that into the subject line there. And I then need my copy for my email. So I'm going to copy all of that.
And then paste it in here. So where it says here it says hey first name or Hey F name. What I'm going to do is delete that. And then there's, there's just a button here that says personalize and I'm going to add the first name there. So what that does is it uses the curly brackets. You know, they're all sort of formatted slightly differently, but it has the information from the form of the first name, so it can pull that through into the email. Now that it's got that information from the form, so you can put that in there, you're going to want to add a link to your download. So if you have that maybe on Dropbox or Google Drive or somewhere where you can share that easily, then you can just grab the link and put it in there and add that in. You might want to add the file to the email, but generally what happens is if you actually embed the file in there, it can become a very large sized email, a very, you know, it's got a really big file size. So they often get blocked, they often get caught up in spam because there's, they don't know what's inside it. So it's better to put a link where they can go and download it from somewhere else that you're hosting it on Dropbox or Google Drive, you know, wherever it is. So then have the text and at the end of the email it had a template where it just says put your name and your company name. So just make sure you've gone through and you've checked that all of those are the correct information and put all of that in there where it says, you know, followers on social media, you're going to want to put a link in there as well. So I can just click that link button there and add the link and I can choose whether I want it to open in a new window or not. But make sure you just add the links to all the relevant places in your email and then I'll hit save and we can move on to the next step, which is the thank you page. So again we've got a really, really basic page here. It's literally just an image background with thank you and, and a download button. So what I'm going to do is go back to my ChatGPT area and I'm going to copy the page and paste the text again. So I've got my sort of confirmation message up at the front here. I'm just going to paste that in there and then I'm going to grab the reminder message as well, which says we're going to send this to your inbox, so go check your inbox. I'm just going to paste that in there. And I now have this text in this box. And then finally I want the download button which just says download now. I'm going to choose my call to action and replace that message. Or actually it already said download now so I didn't need to do that. But I can change the color of that button as well to suit my brand colors as well. Make sure that just stands out. And then you're going to want to add your elements to the end of it as well. So your other pieces of interest. So with this particular program I'm on Kajabi, I'm just going to go to add content and I could maybe add a feature block. Oops, hang on, that's in the, that's in the wrong area.
So I want to go to my main area, add a section. There we go. And then add two feature cards. That's what it's going to look like. I can then add an image. I can add, you know, this text here which said followers on social media.
I can copy and paste that into here.
And it's giving me a title there. If you don't want that, you just remove that. You can just say followers on social media. Put a little image that is your Facebook icon and then make sure that you change the link there to take them to your Facebook group or wherever it is. And then again on the other side you'll put book a meeting or whatever that needs to be, wants to be.
So that's what that looks like.
And let me just show you what that all kind of looks like in practice altogether then. So here's one I prepared earlier. If I go to preview, this is, this is one I made earlier which is. I've just. And you saw how quickly that that took me to build that entire system. It took me probably not even 10 minutes to use ChatGPT to grab all of a copy, put it into the system, write the email, you know, connect all of that up 10 minutes. This, this one that I've just had a little bit more of a play around and I put some images in. If it took me an hour at most, it won't have taken me More than an hour. This, this really was quick. Obviously I do this a lot and I know these, how this works. But you can see how easy the software is to use. I'm using Joby. There's lots of other different tools out there. You can see how easy that is to use. And once you've got chatgpt you in the game as well, it really isn't going to take you long to go and grab that text, have it write that for you. You I'm going to give you the GPT that helps you write the emails as well. So you don't even need the prompts. You just have to go and say, yes, yes, I'm happy with that text and it will make it all for you. And then we've got something like this. So we've got the title, we've got a sub headline. I've got all that text there on the left. I've just added a little image here for the ebook. So I do think that, that it's important that you give them some sort of visual of what they're getting because that can help give a lot of clarity. And what's also important is that the landing page that they land on, the page that they land on.
Which can be part of your website or not, by the way, you could have this area on your website or you could have it separate to it. It's however you want to approach that. But what you want to do is have an image on there so that there's complete clarity. And also when somebody lands on your landing page, wherever they came from before, to get to that. So maybe they clicked on your website, maybe they clicked on a social media post, maybe they clicked on an email because this is a second lead magnet that you're encouraging them to get. Whatever it might be, wherever it is, they clicked there first. This page wants to match that. It wants to be congruent to what they've already seen and consistent. So you want the same colors, you want the same logos, you want similar images, you want similar wording. If somebody clicks on a social media post that says would you like to grab our ChatGPT guide? And then they land here and it starts saying, here's the ultimate guide to digital nomads tax compliance. They're confused now and they're going to bounce, they're going to leave that page because it doesn't make sense. If there's a completely different image, if there's a different font style or font type, then that might be. It's just jarring. It's jarring when they click on one thing that looks, looks a certain way and then they click on something, they get through to that and it looks completely different. So you want to make sure that they look very consistent and similar, which saves you time and effort honestly as well because you just make sure everything's the same. You don't have to play around with different designs. But this is what it looks like. Now I made this one just really simple myself. I added the image and the corner. If you're using a tool, something a little bit more advanced like instapage, then you might have a bit more option when it comes to design. So this is one that, let's find one that's got a form on it and let's just have a look at what that looks like and we'll call that test.
This has a lot more design capability.
And you can see all the different elements in that. So just wait while it loads. You can see that this is a lot more complex. You can add images, you can add. We've got the form here at the top, we can change the background color, we can add background images, we can add a logo here in the, in the corner. And this is all pre made. So all you have to really do is just click into it, say I want to change that image. I just click on that image and I go over to the right and I click change image. So it's really simple. All you have to do is make sure that you've connected this form to your email system as well afterwards. So I could show you how to do that, but it depends really on what tool you're going to be using because it's going to be very specific to you and your tools. So but that's what it looks like. You've got lots of different design ideas. This can just inspire you or you can use it as is and you can get inspiration from that. And then it's going to look something like that. We've got this image here and then what they're going to do is they're going to go in, click on here, put their name and their email address in and click the button to get my free guide. They will then be sent that email that they will receive that in their.
In their inbox. So let me just see if I can.
Show you what that looks like. The, the email.
I think if I click this I can open it in a browser so you can preview that. So hopefully you can see that there.
Now this has got our logo at the top so you can Change the. It's very simple. You can change the image. You can add a banner that's got your, your. Your colors and your logos and stuff in there. You can just make that look a little bit nicer. But that's the email that they will get. And then they will land on the thank you page.
Which might look something like that. So I've made this twice in different colours, so that looks slightly different to the blue color that I was using earlier, but something like that. And then it will have the information on the, on the bottom. Let me see if I can show you the. The correct one that has the design.
So there we go. So this one just says, thank you, your guide's on its way. You can download the guide here. And then at the bottom it says, while you're here, why not take the next step? And we've got book a meeting on the left and followers on social media on the right. So you just need to make sure that your links are all added up and correct in there. What's going to happen is when somebody fills in that form, their email will be added to your list. So you now have their contact details and you can continue to market to them in whatever way works for you, whatever way you see fit. Okay, so I think that's about it. That's everything I wanted to show you. I'm just going to have a quick look in the chat box, which I've lost, to see if anybody has asked me any questions.
Skylar says is this session recorded to replay later? Yes. So this is streaming currently to YouTube and I think LinkedIn as well. So if you just got. If you're watching on YouTube, the link will be the same. Just go to our YouTube channel and it will be there. Take a little minute to process and then it will be there afterwards. After we finish.
Jenna's tax and business advisors ask. Sorry, I'm not sure what your name is.
Will the prompt be available to us through the Academy? Yes, of course, Academy. I will make this the. The GPT that I created. I just need to finalize it and then I'm going to put the link in the description to this video. So you can either save this video and go and grab it there or, you know, I'll make sure that the Academy have it as well.
And then Rodonna asks, is this the free one or the paid chat GPT? Okay, so. So I was actually showing you. That is a good question. I believe I was showing you on the free version there. Yeah, so I was showing you on the free Version.
The free version is now incredibly good. You can do so many things on it. You can, I think you can create GPTs. You can use GPTs. You've got access to one of the most powerful models, which is 4o and 4o mini. You get access to GPT4. So the free version is exceptional. It does a lot of really, really great stuff. If you want to upgrade, we, we always recommend to do so because you just get better access, you get some extra pieces, features. But the free version itself is really, really plenty for you to do the process that we've just done. So yeah, hopefully, hopefully that's, that's enough to get you going.
So if anybody has any more questions or they want me to show you anything again, then just let me know. I wanted to make sure that I had enough time to show you. Show, show building that because it was incredibly quick process to do.
And when you have a tool like Kajabi that has it all in that one place, I think, I think that's a really, that's a really useful visual is for you to see this. If this doesn't make sense to you, this, this system, hopefully this visual helps you and so sorry, if you're listening on the podcast, then you will have to come and look at the video on YouTube. But this visual hopefully really helps you because you can see the process that that lead goes through. They are, they are moved through this system and they start here on the opt in page. They put in their details, they then receive the email and then they land on the thank you page. And you don't have to do anything. You have to set this up once, which as you've just seen, took me 10 minutes. Then you then put your efforts into promoting it. So you put your efforts into.
Putting it on your website or promoting it via social media or however it is you want to promote it. So once the system is built, that's it, it's done. You don't need to do anything with it. Of course, the, the wording that we used there was pretty basic. So maybe if you wanted to make it a bit more complex, you wanted to try split testing and see if this headline works better against the this headline, then you can go and do those things. You can get ChatGPT to help you with those optimizations, you can ask it questions, you know what headlines work better. What are the criteria for that headline that would work better? Can you give me 10 options for that? And then try different headlines and you can split test these sorts of things as well and features that.
Programs that have it like laid out like this. What you would see see is where, where you see the opt in page and then align down to the email sequence. If you wanted to split test two different pages with different headlines, you would just see one page here on the left and one page on the right. That would both then go to the next system. So it's nice and easy to visually see it when you have something like that. If you're, if you're not and you're using separate tools, sometimes it can be a little bit harder to wrap your head around. This goes to this thing here and I need to connect this element here. And in the academy, by the way, we do have guides on specifically how to set up all of these different things as well. So let me just see if there's any more questions come through.
Happy that you can re watch this. There's a lot of information. Yeah. So hopefully you can watch it and kind of get your things up at the same time and go through it, you know, in sync with the video and hopefully that will help you put it all into place. And Jim says that's amazing. Thank you. Thanks, Jim. Okay, that's it for today then. So hopefully that's all been helpful for you. The next session that I'm going to be doing, which is in a couple of weeks, I can't remember the date, forgive me, will be on how to create that lead magnet. So the system I showed you today kind of worked on the basis that you already had the lead magnet ready. What we're going to do in the next session with me in the next live stream, I'm going to show you how to create that lead magnet so that you can then build system. We kind of have to work backwards with some of these things. So hopefully we'll see some of you on that session soon and I hope you all have a nice week. Thanks everybody. Bye for now.
