Mark Wickersham walks through OpenAI's Canvas update, now available inside GPTs. He shows an Email Responder GPT that takes incoming emails and generates replies in your voice using a writing-style guide, with the response opening in a separate Canvas for quick edits.

A lot of the things that OpenAI are bringing out right now is extraordinary and they made some major changes to Canvas just last week. If you want to use it for doing any form of written stuff, Canvas is extraordinary and what they've also just done last week is Canvas is available in your GPTs. So for example, I have a GPT called Email Responder where when I open the GPT I hit the let's get started button and basically ask for two things. Number one, copy and paste the email I've received. Number two, is there anything in particular they would like me to say I can put some context in? I hit the button, it then writes the email response on my behalf and the GPT's got my writing style guide and other stuff and I almost never have to edit it. It saves me hours of time with writing emails. But even better now what it will do is it will open that email up in a separate canvas which you can enter some more incredible stuff with the AI system.
