Mark Wickersham says prompt engineering is how you communicate with AI, making it essential for business owners. He spent a year learning it and now uses it to generate consistent outputs like diagnostic reports.
Prompt engineering is a really important skill. I often say that the most important skill we need as business owners is communication. Communication affects everything. Communication affects your leadership skills, managing people, your sales process, your marketing. We have to be great at communicating, whether it's in writing, like the word on our website, or verbally. It's the number one skill that we can have in business. And prompt engineering is. Is how we communicate with AI. That's what it is. And given that we are now in an increasing AI world, prompt engineering is one of the most important skills that we can master. But it's so new, there's not many places to learn. I have spent the last year learning prompt engineering. I'm fascinated by it because I love language, I love communication, and I love the fact that we can then use language to get consistent outcomes like diagnostic reports. So I teach prompt engineering.
