Hey welcome, welcome to another live stream and it seems such a long time since my last one because I've been away for a couple of weeks. Anyway, hope you're well and let me know in the comments where you're from in the world so I can give you a shout out. And if you are here for the first time to one of my live streams again, just let me know, put a comment, just put new in the chat if this is the first time that you've been to one of my live streams. So anyway, if you are new we'll kick off on the hour which I think is about three and a half minutes from now. So I'm just going to acknowledge comments and just general chit chat till we start officially. So far there's one comment. So fast, let's keep them coming. We've got Neil. Hi Neil, I know you don't miss many sessions at all. Good to see you and of course I saw you almost two weeks ago and time really does fly. I hope you got back safe from London. I'm sure you did and looking forward to catching up with you again soon. So I was with Neil because I've just come back from my trip to my annual trip to the uk if you don't know, I live in Portugal and so spent two weeks there visiting family, visiting Neil and yeah, just seeing as many people as possible. It was fun. A lot of traveling about on the train, a lot of taxis, a lot of trams, but fun. So we also have as well as Neil we have Anastasia is here as well from Canada. Hi there, great to see you too. And.
Yeah, hope weather's nice over there in Canada. It's beautiful here in Portugal we've got really warm weather because we live on the coast. It's not too bad, there's a bit of breeze and so on. Anyway, who else is here? It's been quiet in the chat so far. Usually it's a bit more busy than this. Let me know, let me know how you're doing, let me know where you're from in the world. If there's anybody here watching from say LinkedIn, let me know as well. Bit quiet on LinkedIn and.
Yeah, that's it for comments at the moment. I'll look out for some more. We will be starting in about 90 seconds. We have a. I have a lot to cover in this session today so we will start off prompt in just a few seconds. Okay, comments coming in now. I can see Kelly is here. Not sure how to pronounce your surname. Grace, I think anyway from Houston in Texas. Hi there Kelly, good to see you.
And.
Wear my usual crown. There's a lot of people here who usually here every single time. I guess it's vacation time at the moment. So today's session we're going to be looking at some. It's gonna be a highly practical session. We're going to be looking at some practical prompts that you can use, little prompt templates that you can use to save hours of time when you are using chat GPT. I've got three I'm going to go through and. And so. And then we'll answer questions as usual. I can see Marty's here. Hi there Marty. Good to see you as well. Hopefully life is good with you. Lovely weather in Michigan, I can see, which is nice and of course it was nice to see you earlier this year. I can also see I'm kind of, if my eyes are everywhere, that's because I can't pull in comments from LinkedIn in my usual feed. So whereas I couldn't put YouTube comments up like Marty's, I can't with LinkedIn. But I have got Robert on LinkedIn. Oh, it's Bob. So Bob's from Amelia island, florida over on LinkedIn. So welcome to you to the session, Bob. Right, we are about to kick off, we're almost on the hour and we'll dive in. So yeah, let's get started and as usual, as I normally do with these sessions, a couple of very quick announcements. But they'll be really quick today because I want to get into the content and also answering questions. So you might want to get your smartphones to hand. I've got a couple of QR codes to show.
The screen first one, if you're a regular to these sessions, you'll know that we are a big fan of B1G1 helping making the world a better place. And so as a thank you for being here to come into this session, one of the things we do is we make a contribution to a project on your behalf and so all you need to do is hold up your QR code, sorry, your phone to the QR code on the screen or wait till Sarah puts a link into the chat and you'll get to a page that looks like what you can see on the screen right now. All you got to do is click one of those four buttons. Whichever project resonates with you the most, when you click on it, there's no opt in, no sign in. It's simply when you click on the button, it takes money out of our bank account and pays it across to that particular project to help people somewhere in the world who are not as fortunate as us. So you get to choose where we make that contribution. So please do it doesn't cost you a single penny. All you got to do is click an orange button. That's all. Okay. And then we will make a contribution to that challenge, that charity, that project. And if you are new to these sessions. Oh, I can see, by the way, let me just confirm that Sarah has put the link if you prefer. I can see the links in both LinkedIn. I can see it's also in YouTube as well. So for links, Sarah's done that. Okay. Other announcement very quickly is if you've not been to one of my sessions live before and you're not on our VIP list, then again, either use the QR code or wait for Sarah's poster link. If you want to get access to our newsletter that comes out every Monday and what we put in that every Monday at 4 o' clock UK time, we tell you about all the live sessions coming up so you don't miss any live sessions. We also have our pomp prompt of the week, which people love. And also if you like listening to the podcast, you get a link through to our podcast episodes. And once again, thank you, Sarah. She's put the link there into the chat as well. Okay, last thing, we're going to dive in very soon, but I do love answering your questions, so please do ask questions. Also, just please comment, please comment as well throughout the. I'd love to read your comments. Please comment in the comments. If you have a question, if you could put a couple of capital Q's in front of the question. And the reason for that is because sometimes there's lots of chat and I might miss your question. I'm just having a check to see if anything on LinkedIn. Not yet. So yes, please do. Please do ask questions. Just put two capital Q's in front of the. That'll help me see your. See your question. And thank you, Sarah. I was just waiting for that. Just in case you're not sure that's what two capital Q's look like. That's how the format for asking questions. So please do that and I will look out for the Q Q's. I will answer questions at the end and if we find that we're running out of time, we finish these sessions as a hard finish. On the hour we do finish, I will answer as many questions as I can. So if you have a burning question, the sooner you ask the better, because I answer them in the order that they come in. So ask your question if you got one. Now, about ChatGPT, if you have a question about AI, stick it in there now and that guarantees yours will get answered. Because I do have about at least 30 or 40 minutes of content today, a lot of stuff to get through. Okay, before we dive into the main topic for the day, let me just tell you what's new in the world of ChatGPT, in case you're not aware. So I've been away for a couple of weeks, but just before I went away two weeks ago, they announced ChatGPT agent mode. And.
That'S got the potential to be really powerful. I say potential in many respects. It's not many things. It's not doing as well as we'd like to think it should do, but there are some, still some really, really good use cases. So if you want to learn more about ChatGPT agent mode, I will be doing some training on that at some point in the not too distant future. So that came out two weeks ago, almost exactly two weeks ago, I think. And then for some reason they've knocked the current and previous year and do some comparison of those and then give us some information about the ratios. I wanted to also look at cash flow and efficiency assessments and look at the numbers and see if there's any issues around cash flow efficiency that I might need to be aware of that I could talk to the business owner about. I also wanted to look at the costs and are there any significant changes in costs from last year to this year that I might want to have a conversation with the business owner about? Then a growth and risk assessment and then finally, what recommendations.
Could I give to the business owner based on all of this analysis? And then what it does is it's then got an example and one of the core components of an effective prompt is to use examples, because large language models like ChatGPT are not intelligent. They simply look for patterns. They predict the next word, they look for patterns. So when we give it examples, then it will use that and follow it and it'll guide it to the output. This is really useful, particularly whenever you want to create a standard report. Sorry, a prompt that will create a report, any form of report. So this one here happens to be.
