I know it may sound like a bit of a hassle or kind of a pain to try and learn how to navigate the healthcare system, to get engaged, to get educated, to get equipped. It may sound like a lot of work, but here's why I want to encourage you to go for it. Because if you learn now how to navigate the healthcare system, you are making an investment in your financial prosperity that is going to pay off over the course of your lifetime. Let me just give you one example. A guy named Don Jones read my book. After he got an unfair bill for blood work from LabCorp, Don learned how to push back. He learned how to use evidence and persuasion to make his case. And he got a bill corrected that saved him about $3,800. Well, about a year later, LabCorp made the same billing error, this time for about $2,400. Again, Don knew the tactics. He knew. He knew how to push back. And over the course of these two medical bills, Don saved about $6,000 in medical bills, by the way, $6,000 and counting. Because you can almost be guaranteed that these mistakes are going to happen again. So I encourage you, make an investment in your health literacy. Healthcare literacy is financial literacy. Be a good steward of your family's money, of your own budget, and take the steps. My videos, my book, follow the links, I show you how to do it. But take some time and make the investment. I know you'll be glad that you did.
