Day 23 Galaxy light

Mary Kostka reviews galaxy lights for sensory kits and clinics. Long-wave aurora projectors work better than disco-style dots. Pair them with calming sounds like heartbeat or instrumental lullabies for the best soothing effect.
Foreign heroes. Welcome to day 23. And in this video, we're going to talk about the Galaxy light. In the video below, I describe it in a little bit more detail, but I just wanted to point out a few things. And you can use many different types of lights. There's so many on the market. If you just Google Galaxy Light, you'll. You'll see so many different ones. And in the picture below, I gave an example of going on Amazon and some of the different ones that you might find. What we have found works the best are the ones that aren't circular type things like dots, like a disco light that, but the ones with long waves of light, so it's simulating like an aurora borealis. Those seem to be the most calming. And you'll see on the market, there's so many different ones. Some are Bluetooth. It's really nice to play some calming music with it. The heartbeat, just playing the heartbeat sound is really good. You can play like instrumental Disney. You can play just any kind of like, like. A lot of times we'll have Alexa play like instrumental lullaby. You can add that calming sound to it as well. In our kits that we're putting together, we. I've looked at so many, so many different lights. Some of them will come like with a remote, but no way to, like turn it on by itself. And I'm like, that's not going to work. We're going to lose the remote and have no way to turn this thing on. And some have tons of bells and whistles, but then that can be kind of a distraction to the kids. So the one that I have finally decided on and found put in our kits is the one that we use the most in the clinic. It just took me a while to be able to, to be able to get it for the kits. And so it's a pretty simple one. It does do a Bluetooth and it does have the, the long waves of light and the stars. So we're pretty happy with that. All right, see you in the next video. Remember, do your worksheet.
