Hi, my name is Erica. And my child had an amazing opportunity at OHANA to get through a program with the QRI laser treatment. So I came to Ohana pretty much in emotional strife. My child was having a really hard time and I came in in tears, needing immediate help. And unfortunately, there were many other families that needed just as much help. And there was a wait list. So while I was on the wait list, Mary had given me the opportunity to, to get into their new QRI program to hopefully expedite and help things while we were on the waiting list for therapy. So I was a little hesitant. I didn't quite understand how it worked or how a laser could possibly help my child with all these big issues that he was having. But out of desperation and a little hope, I went ahead and started him on the QRI program. And almost immediately we noticed a difference in his behavior. The first session he had, he was completely relaxed and I thought he was going to fall asleep while he was having the laser treatment done. Amazed me at what a difference I could see in his well being the first time. This was a child that was struggling with anxiety to even leave the house. You know, everything felt weird on him. His socks, his underwear, his clothes, to where it was affecting our everyday life. And it was hard for me to watch my child have to live through that. So I was so happy that there was almost an immediate improvement in those issues that he was having. Also, we noticed probably within the first month his coordination was improving. You know, all those reflexes were starting to integrate that he was having issues with before. You know, I remember to this day my husband was out throwing a baseball with him and he was catching it and throwing it. And before, you know, it was his whole body trying to throw a ball, something as simple as throwing a ball. And it was, it was amazing to see the changes with a laser, which now that I understand a little bit more about how it integrates all those reflexes, it makes sense to me now, but at the time I was hesitant and I'm so glad that we did that. And after he finished the QRI treatments, we were then put into the occupational therapy program and he just excelled. Everything seems seem to be going easier and the whole process has been amazing. And I cannot thank OHANA anymore for all they've done for not only just my child, but my family.
