Mary Koska shares three ways to prevent clinical staff burnout: a daily checklist to track sessions and struggles, support staff to handle setup and cleanup, and streamlined documentation that takes 3 to 15 minutes per note. She'll share her checklist template if you ask in the comments.
Everyone, Mary Koska here. And I am going to give you three things that I do to help manage my clinical staff. And so they feel supported, equipped and, you know, they feel heard and they can just put their energy into pouring into the kids. So number one, daily checklists. I have a form that they fill out every day and it helps me see how their sessions went, how they're feeling at the end of the day, where they might be struggling, where they might need some support, and just helps me see patterns. And I love it. It's a. It's a game changer. Number two, support. We give them so much support. We have aids that help them set up and clean up and do projects for them and it just takes the load off so they can pour into the kids. And number three is super efficient documentation. It's so important to me that they do not get bogged down with documentation that they can leave on time and just put all their energy, quality care. And don't get me wrong, documentation is important, but don't want to spend any more time on it than we have to. And it's a real key in relieving stress for them. Our notes only take like three minutes in our valves, like 15 minutes. And so if you would like a copy of my daily checklist I use with my therapist, comment no burnout below and I'll be happy to send it to you. Have a great day.
