Isaí and Lilia reconnect and discuss her ayahuasca retreat in Peru, where a vision of herself as a phoenix led her to shave her head and deepen her Ashtanga practice. Lilia works as a trauma coach helping men navigate divorces from narcissistic partners, and reflects on ego as a social construct, especially for women.

¿Me conociste antes? ¿Dónde? ¿Cuándo?
Caminando por ahí en 70. ¿Cuál es tu nombre?
Recuérdame. Isaí. Yes, I met you before. And you are?
Lilia.
Ilya? Lilia.
Yeah, I met you right before I went to Peru.
Right, how was Peru?
For ayahuasca, and that's where I shaved my fucking head.
You shaved because of ayahuasca? I was gonna ask if it was because of the summer.
Oh, well, now I'm like, oh my God, why haven't I done this like 10 years ago?
Right, so fresh. I used to have my hair long, and after that I'm like that.
It was incredible because it was like, um, I had a vision of myself as a rising phoenix.
You have a vision of yourself what?
As a rising phoenix.
All right, all right.
And then like all of my hair fell out in the vision.
As a phoenix?
Yeah, like I— well, it was like the body of—
I'm gonna put this here so it doesn't— Yeah, yeah, go ahead.
Yeah, it is my body, but like my hair fell out, right? And then my wings spread, and it was a very clear message that I needed. And it was like in India, and then, uh, what's it called, the ashram? Yeah. So I came back, well, I shaved my head, I came back and I went deep into Ashtanga. So it's like such a beautiful journey right now.
Well, you look happy.
I'm happy.
I believe it. How long ago was that?
Uh, like—
Wait, you went fully shaved?
Yeah.
Like nothing at all? Like razor or like—
Yeah, razor. Really?
Do you have pictures of that? I gotta see.
I don't.
You don't have pictures of that?
No, I have like tiny, tiny hair.
Okay, so you had tiny, tiny hair.
Yeah.
You didn't went fully bald?
No, not with the razor. Well, like, she didn't use the thing. Like, you don't put anything on the—
Right, right, right.
It was crazy. Dude, it was such a shock. Holy shit. It was such a shock. Because they did it, and then you're looking at yourself, you're like, "Fuck, what have I just done?" What was the shortest you had it before doing that?
Okay, so, wow. So total change. Congratulations.
Thank you. You know, it's also like I realized if I really want to get rid of the ego, because that's the whole part, right?
You really have to— Like ego was part of your hair? Ego was part of why you were not doing it?
No, it's like ego is our identity, right? So everybody has ego or egos, many egos. And for women, it's such a social construct, you know? And I'm always like preaching, 'cause I'm a coach and—
What kind of coach?
I coach men, trauma.
Wow. Yeah.
Interesting. See, I kind of do relationship coaching too.
All right.
But mostly I focus on men, like I navigate men through divorce from really narcissistic women. Yeah.
What do you mean narcissistic women? They don't exist. They're everywhere, man. Well, you must have such a different perspective of women with what
