Hey there, in this video I'm going to share how long it takes to get started with your payroll on Guru Payroll and HR's simple payroll platform. Typically payroll takes between 2 and 4 weeks to get set up. There are a few variables that impact the timing. What are some of those variables? Well, the size of your company, the number of states your employees are in, the time of year that we implement the the solution, your responsiveness to our request for information, and your attendance to our implementation and training meetings are critical components that help to determine the speed in which you can get set up. The unique thing about the way we set up your payroll is that we actually do the work for you. So you're going to see some other providers where they say, hey, you can get up and running in a couple of days or a week. But the key there is that you're going to have to input all of your own information. You're going to have to reach out to the taxing agencies and make sure things are set up properly. You're going to have to balance your year-to-date payrolls to make sure that your people only get one W-2, that your tax information doesn't get messed up for the quarter and for year-end. So we balance all of those things for you. So there are a few variables that also can help to make sure that you can speed it up. One of the biggest things that sees us— we see that slows down an implementation is our access to your existing payroll data. So as soon as you decide that we're the right solution for you, make sure you either find a login for us, create a login for us, reach out to your current provider provider because we will log into your existing payroll system and actually pull all the information out for you so that you don't have to do any of the setup. That's going to not only make your life much easier but also make the process go much smoother. Once we get access to your system, we can get to work and we can do that from day one. Oftentimes we get the question of, "I still need to get people paid a little bit faster, just I have some reason why." What can we do to speed that up? Well, if you're a new business and you're getting started, that makes it much easier because you don't have existing priors. We don't have as many employees to enter, and so we can usually do things a little bit faster there. And we can also do some things to pull some strings to make sure that, you know, if we need to cut a live check or you can cut a check off your QuickBooks account or your bank account directly to the employees, and we can record the tax data in the system and submit and pay your taxes. That's one way to kick things off. We also just typically recommend, like, even though you may feel like you really need to get started right now, today, next week, usually processing one more payroll with your current provider is not going to hurt anything. We can take all that information and set it up in our system right after that payroll. And then once again, we want to make sure it's set up accurately, it's done right the first time, and you're able to hang with us for the long term. And so what does the process look like? Well, we start with a kickoff call where we meet our team, where you meet our team, we meet you, we get to know one another, and we get the process rolling so that it can be a successful project where we set expectations, we walk through what the project plan looks like. Then we'll have a weekly call until the week after payroll is processed so we can review the payroll. We're going to train you. We're going to do all the things we need to do. We try to consolidate those to the weekly calls so that you don't have too much work in between the calls. You're going to have a dedicated implementation guide who's going to help to make sure that the process goes smoothly for both you and for us. So what does success look like in this process? Well, we want to help you make the transition as quickly as possible, and we know you want to do the same. But ultimately, we want to make sure that you don't have to move again for a very long time. Our average clients are with us for more than 5 years, and the reason is because we believe that we should measure twice and cut once. Or like we like to say around here, OHIO, only handle it once. So when it comes to payroll implementation, with all the different things that need to occur, we want to make sure that you have to just set it up once with Guru and not again for a long time. We're excited to welcome you to the Guru family and appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your team. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video.
