In this video, I'm going to walk you through all the different ways we help companies start to offer payroll services or improve how they offer payroll and HR services in less than 30 days without having to spend 80, 100, 200 hours of training or building out a tax department. So I'm going to walk you through all of our different partner options and how you can start offering payroll at your business or improve your payroll processes. So let's take a look at the Guru partner programs and how they can help you to develop a thriving payroll practice. First, you want to start with the very obvious question: should you even start a payroll business or add payroll to your existing services? It's really about determining whether or not you want to build or buy this processes and the software. How much real revenue will you make So oftentimes companies come to us and they're talking about only adding 5 or 10 payroll clients per year. Do the math on whether or not that revenue even is going to make a dent and whether or not you should pursue and spend the time to set up a payroll process for something that might just be hundreds or low thousands of dollars per year in actual revenue. And do you want to sell payroll services or do you actually want to take the time to serve the payroll clients? Because they're very different things. Some of the challenges with offering payroll are the complexity of processing payroll. You're going to need staff that understand payroll, that understand tax filing, the liability of filing taxes for your clients, keeping your team staffed. You can spend a ton of time building out processes which ultimately make it distracting from your core business. And the sales and service resources and assets available to you, you're going to have to create a lot of them from scratch in most circumstances. So why would you partner with us to help alleviate some of those challenges? Well, Guru's been around for nearly 10 years. We've answered more than 69,000 HR questions with a 99% satisfaction rating from our clientele. And we're a mission-based company that gives 5% of our business to charity every year. So you can take pride in working with a company that cares about you, your clients, and your community. So let's look at the 3 steps of choosing the right solution for you if you're going to offer payroll. First, we offer 3 different models. We offer a referral model, which is you provide an interested client, we have the sales conversation, we serve the client, we provide all tier 1 support, you get a commission check or a revenue share back to you. In the white label environment, this is you sell, you serve, we train you on how to do both of those things, and you get a much higher percentage of the revenue from each individual client. And we can either bill you or the client directly in this model and either cut you back a rev share, or you can charge whatever you want knowing what your base fees are. And then the reseller model is you sell the deals, We serve the deals. So this allows you to go out and start offering payroll services, but ultimately you'll be the having all the sales conversations with your clients and we'll provide the backend support. And we do this for tons of organizations around the country. In all models, we are the tax agent, which helps you to not have to build out a tax department and not have to deal with the complexity and liability of providing payroll tax services to your clients. The next most important thing is determining your market. One of the biggest challenges I see and biggest mistakes I see among folks that start offering payroll services is that they serve everybody with a checkbook. So you want to make sure that you're going after certain sizes of companies in a certain geography and ideally certain industries. You don't want to be all things to all people. This will help you to determine which of the solutions, either through Guru or through someone else, makes the most sense for you and your clients. In step 3, you're going to want to layer in more solutions over time. So whether that's HR technology, human resources support, timekeeping automation and software, benefits and benefits administration, we allow you to offer all those things easily in any of the 3 models. So how does our solution work? Well, we train you how to either sell or serve our systems depending on which model you're in. We manage all the systems for you. So we keep up with the updates, we keep up with tax compliance, we keep up with the software, and we make sure that you have the right ancillary products to bring to market as well to continue to add to your book of business. And then we support you and you support the clients. If you're in the white label model, and if you're in the reseller model, we support the clients as well. We have a great training system built out for especially for our white label folks. That's an 8-week program, just 1 hour per week that gives you everything you need to get up and running and start offering payroll as quickly as possible. So the question is, do you want to take on these challenges all on your own? Do you want to license a large enterprise software and be in charge of putting in a tax filing, you know, system or third party behind it? It? Do you want to spend the time staffing out your payroll team? Do you want to spend a bunch of time building out processes? Or do you want to partner with somebody who already has all these things in place for you? You have a choice to make. Do you want to build out everything you saw on the previous screen? Or do you want to buy from someone and work with someone who has all those things built out for you? And I think ultimately that question comes down to how many clients are you going to add? If you're going to add 1,000 clients over the next year, 3, 4, 500 over the next year, you may want to look at building out all those things on your own. But if you're going to add 50 to 100 to 200 clients per year, then you may want to look at partnering with somebody who already has these things built out for you, which is where Guru plugs in nicely. So why would you partner with us? Well, we've been in this industry for almost 20 years and we have deep experience not only serving folks like you, but also serving the end user. We share our best practices with you. We help you to grow a payroll bureau that's meaningful. You're not just another number to us. This gives you the great opportunity to increase revenue across the board, not just with your initial offerings of payroll and HR technology and support, but you can continue to layer in more solutions from Guru's team and partners. And obviously it limits the liability since we're the tax agent in any of these methods that you choose. So what's next? Book a time with us. We'll talk about your eligibility for each program. We'll help you choose the right plan for your organization and your clients to help you take your practice, your firm, your healthcare brokerage, whatever you may be doing today, or your startup payroll company to the next level.
