Stop leaving random voicemails. Instead, coordinate your outreach across multiple channels: send physical mail, connect on LinkedIn, email, then call. This layered approach shows effort and credibility, earning at least a minute of attention from prospects who otherwise ignore cold calls.

Man, don't sleep on voicemails. You know how few people leave me voicemails nowadays? Like, I remember everybody that leaves me a voicemail because I just don't get that many of them. I get more and more sales calls. I feel like people are listening to this podcast where I'm complaining about not— I'm not complaining, but I'm saying not enough people pick up the phone. And then lately I have got a ton of sales calls, but they're not very good. They're typically operating under some fake guise of like acting like they know me or whatever, and they're not tied to anything else. They're just completely cold. I'm not seeing the mailer, I'm not seeing the email, I'm not getting the LinkedIn connection requests. Like, I tell you, if you send me a piece of mail, send me a LinkedIn connection request, an email, and call me, I'm gonna at least give you a minute on the phone, dude. Like, you've worked your tail off. That's a lot of work.
