What is the Growth Summit? | Matt Vaadi

Matt Vaadi presents the Growth Summit, a two-day event in Columbia, South Carolina on October 20-21 with over 30 speakers covering every stage of business growth. Attendees come from at least six states, and speakers include MapQuest founder Chris Hively. The summit emphasizes networking and relationships as much as content tracks on sales, marketing, finance, and legal.

All right, so the Growth Summit is right around the corner, and it's that time of year where we start getting a lot of questions of what is the Growth Summit, should I attend, who attends, what actually happens at the summit. So yesterday I had an awesome conversation with my great friend Karen Jenkins, who— shout out Karen— so excited every time I get to spend to spend some time with you. But I met Karen at a Growth Summit, and the thing that stuck out to me more than anything was what she said to me when the day was over. She said, "Matt, I'm an entrepreneur. I'm very particular about how I spend my time. If I take a full day away from my desk, that can cost me a lot of money. That's a huge investment of time and energy. It has to be worth it. And this was so worth it." And she's been at, I think, every one since. And so what is the summit? It's the event for entrepreneurs, wantrepreneurs, ecosystem builders in South Carolina and beyond, for that matter. We've already got 6 states, people from 6 states registered so far, just in the first couple weeks of registration being open for the summit. So what are you going to do? What are you going to get out of this event? Well, you're going to see more than 30 speakers on a variety of topics for each of those stages of your business. Whether you're just getting started, whether you're thinking about getting started, or whether you're growing to 8, 9 figures, there's going to be content there for you from world-class experts including Chris Hively, the founder of MapQuest, and all sorts of local and regional experts as well. And so this event is the type of thing where you're going to go, you're going to get a great— a lot of great content, but more important, you're going to make a lot of great connections. You're going to meet a lot of awesome people. And we've built in ways for that to happen to facilitate more interaction between attendees, to make sure that you've got that time, that buffer in place between sessions so that you can experience what it's meant to be, and that's connecting with others and growing yourself, your network, and what you— the impact that you can make as an entrepreneur or wantrepreneur or an ecosystem developer in this area. And don't let me forget the creatives. I'm of course, creatives, you guys are entrepreneurs in and of yourself and whether you're inside of an organization or working independently. So it's gonna be an awesome event. It's October 20th and 21st in Columbia, South Carolina. We're also gonna have some evening events leading up to that. So Wednesday evening, a little free event. If you're coming in from outta town, come on in and stay Wednesday night, Thursday night, happy hour. Friday's gonna be full intensive workshops all from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. And Thursday is going to be a full day of content tracks, all sorts of awesome stuff from sales, marketing, finance, legal, everything you could want as an entrepreneur. So I'm looking forward to seeing you there. I've met some of my best friends there. I've made amazing connections, and I know you're going to do the same. Thank you so much for taking a couple of minutes to watch this, and I look forward to meeting you at this year's Growth Summit.
